Iran's Ahmadinejad calls Sept 11 "big fabrication"

uk.news.yahoo.com

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Saturday called the September 11 attacks on the United States a "big fabrication" that was used to justify the U.S. war on terrorism, the official IRNA news agency reported.

Ahmadinejad described the destruction of the twin towers in New York on September 11, 2001 as a "complicated intelligence scenario and act," IRNA reported.

He added: "The September 11 incident was a big fabrication as a pretext for the campaign against terrorism and a prelude for staging an invasion against Afghanistan." He did not elaborate.

This news just came in and is quiet interesting. It echoes the concern who don't believe the OS line on 9/11 attacks. This has been said several times by many members on ATS as well but it's the first time a leader has said so as far as I know.

Actually the Ex President of Italy says it was a inside job.

Members of the Japanese Gov say it was a inside job.

The Pres (Prime Minister)? of New Zealand questions the events .

those a few I am aware of.

Isnt there a possibility that this statement will make the 9/11 truthers out to be holding terrorist views? If Iran is in the axis of evil and their president says this then its sounds like loss of freedom of speech on the way here soon. i hope not

Yep. Not to mention the last two ``domestic terrorism act`` linked to conspiracy theorists and all the propaganda saying anyone who oppose the government is a terrorist...

We all knew this would happen sooner or later.

So...those government officials ARE NOT liars, but ours are?

I thought all governments lied? So why trust foreign governments so willfully?
Because they fit your agenda?

Thats far from rational.

What's not rational is not considering what different countries have to lose and gain with revelations of either the OS being found fabricated or not. You have to agree that the U.S. has way, way, WAY more to lose if the story is disproved than Italy, Japan and New Zealand have to gain from saying that the story is false.

What is also not rational is believing that every single thing a government, any government, says is a lie. All governments say only the things that benefit them - and, yes, all governments lie SOME of the time - and some of the time they tell the truth. The trick is trying to identify when they are lying and when they're telling the truth, and to do that you have to consider their motives. In my opinion, the motives behind Italy, Japan and NZ lying aren't nearly as compelling as the U.S. gov't's motives.

Former Head of Pakistan's ISI, General Hamid Gul, has also recently come out and said 9/11 was an inside job.

Link

There seems to be alot more "officials" in other countries coming forward and venting their views on the lie that is 9/11.

ive never been an Iranian citizen so i cant really speak as if i have experience with their validity on issues.

however i think its pretty funny even ahmadnutjob is a truther.

im no expert, but based on the amount of attention the media has given "conspiracy theorist right wing radical extremist patriot groups", id say we pose a bigger threat than the "al-qaeda's".

which (in the words of ATS elite) speaks volumes.

Well, thats a good way to make sure its never investigated...well played.
Have a "enemy" state its a hoax and the people will rally against a investigation simply because thats what we as a nation do.

Anyone suspect these enemy leaders may actually be part of the higher movement?

the majority of our Government was honest for nearly a century, at least by today's standards.

not completely, but enough to where the dishonest were a minority and didnt pose much of a threat. but over the years it spread like cancer.

"All Governments say only the things that benefit them"
In a nutshell, they all do this. So Tehran has a lot to gain geopoliticaly from making these remarks. Iran's Government ran MSM is no different in many ways from the Western Press.

Getting the version of the story out that will benefit them the most.

Doesn't he say this nearly every month or more? I am not sure why this is some big revelation. He has been saying it for the last 9 years.

I don't know why the other 2 spoke out, But as far as the Japanese ,

I believe it was around 45 Japanese Nationals who died on 911.

The Japan Government was not sastified with the OS.

They want a New Investigation. It seems some countries care about there

citizens.

As long as we agree to disagree on a forum. We are of no danger to the government.

The danger starts when you take your opinion out side and start to disagree publicly.

Fareed Zakaria is not a former head of the Pakistani ISI. I would hope that we would at least know who is making the claim before wholeheartedly accepting it as accurate.

Agreed. But when you ONLY BELIEVE the things that help your agenda...you come into the context of MY comment.
