You make a good point.

The more I think about it, the more it seems like it must have just been one of those things that happens once in a lifetime.

But what I find odd is the whole 3am thing. Is that a time when things like this have a better chance of "overlapping" with us? Or maybe thats just the time when our brains are the most susceptible to experience it.

recently, when trying to go to sleep, i've been getting "visuals" transmitted to me.

they are mostly pleasant so far, but i reject them, because when i was a child i received horrible visuals when trying to sleep, often, and i will not accept the risk of being kept from sleep by scary visuals.
sleep deprivation can lead me to jobloss, psychosis, and i fear: even death.

so what i do now is tell my brain time and time again to be comforted by the completely-black signal of my physical eyes when closed. Well, it does have some color to it during the day, but you get the point; mostly a uniform colored fog.
This signal, i tell every part of my brain, is "much needed rest".
And "pleasant visuals" (with eyes closed) is "openng-myself up to sleep deprivation attacks".

Well, considering your screen name I can now understand your experience now.

Let me ask, was/is your mother very religious?Did your family, while they lived there, have a shrine in the house, that so many do?

It appears that evil has found a house no longer protected and is making an attempt to enter the house and win over your soul.

You probably voted for Obama so it thinks you can be easily influenced.

The only thing I can think of to make things right is to hang crosses in all your rooms.

Then, marry that girl and stop living in sin.

Thank you.
But now, when I am fully awake, I can sense when something, not of this world is around me. I am trying to make contact, but no result so far.

Well, if you take yourself as a "scientific guy" you should know that many scientists are sniffing around the theory the human being has an "ethereal amount of energy supporting the body" and this energy is, in my words, "self-sustaining, lasting, keeping itself outside and beyond the matter." Out of scientific context, usually it's known as "soul", "spirit". The ancient egypts had a concept of KA and BA, as two principles of body animation or life, if you with. The KA is the life energy, the essence and the BA is the self-consciousness of this energy as a living being. The point here is: After we die, what happens with this amount of consciousness life energy???
Once no longer there's a physic body, this "soul" (to use a common expression) is no more in the 3th dimension, but in the 4th. Well theoretically, 'cos quantum physics have been working on the "co-existent parallels dimensions". Sorry if I say something stupid, 'cos ain't that good in physics, but I assume that's something about "Strings Theory".
Back to the point. After death this amount of consciousness energy retains the remembrances and feelings of physic life experiences. Magnetic impressions, actually. For instance, this energy has no form, no shape, but it can keep the magnetic impression of its last body, its last appearance for some time. The image of a ghost you saw, is a magnetic impression of a body that no longer exist, like a hologram. The voice you heard is no longer a sound 'cos there's no body to make sounds, but a mental projection of a voice. Like mind communication.
I'm talking about this stuffs, to make you familiar with elements of life, usually ignored and in many cases ridiculed, by modern civilization.
In ancient egyptian occultism is said a "ghost" has access to 3th dimension, until the body get decomposed and the ethereal element present in the strand of DNA of that body (tied by the Kundalini) also get decomposed. The physic decomposition doesn't take so long, but the decomposition of this ethereal element, may take some time. May be years, centuries or even thousands of years, depending on how strong were the ties of this people with his/her prior life. For instance, a famous personality, a celebrity, a influential powerful politician, may take thousands of years to decompose this element and set this "soul" free of living personality. That's WHY people see "ghosts" in clothes of past centuries.
Stopping blabling and focusing in your specific case, I must ask a couple of things before give my OP:

1 - Do u have knowledge, are you aware of some possible crime that could have occurred in your house?? Some violence, murder??
2 - Who lived in your house, before you and your girlfriend?? Just family people, strange people???
3 - Are you aware if the prior occupants of your house had connections with occultism, I mean, voodoo practice, wicca, any sort of black magic, rituals of invocations, channelings, Ouija tables rituals, anything like that???
4 - I HAVE TO ASK THIS: Are you aware if your girlfriend used to practice anything I mentioned above??? In any time of her life???
5 - Are you aware if some of your neighbors practice these things I said??
6 - Is your house near of some grave yard??

It's 100% important you get these informations. They may explain what's happening in your house.

SOLUTIONS:

1 - If you find some evidence the problem is with the house, and you want so much, keep living there, I strongly recommend a "magnetic cleaning". How?? Trough mantras. Hindu Mandras. That's an ancient science in India, the science of sounds frequencies. Mantras have specific sound frequencies that can dissolve or avoid spectral disturbings. Forget about exorcism, "spirit contactees" and channelizeres. Mantra is a science and works. Talk to people that practice Hindu Mantras. Buddhist people, Hindu people. But stay AWARE that it can take some time to work on. Isn't like "from one day to one night". Leaving the house is ever a considerable option.

2 - If you realize the problem is with some close people, living family relatives that lived in this house, and had odd habits or with weird neighbors, the Mantra cleaning is still the best solution and stay away of these people.

3 - If is something related to old habits of your girlfriend, the Mantra cleaning is still the solution, but SHE MUST get involved. If she refuse it, you may need to "reboot" your life.

4 - If your house was built near of some grave yard, well my advice is MOVE OUT. Get the f*ck off!! Leave it!!!

I hope I've been useful. Good luck!!!

I appreciate the concern. To be honest, yes my mom was the one raised Catholic, so she used to have a cross up in the kitchen when I was young. No shrine though, and she is far from devout. She goes to church once a year, maybe twice. And no, I didnt vote for Obama, I actually lean more towards conservative beliefs, plus I like my guns. The GOP is another matter...

And we plan to marry, just want to do it the right way and save some money first. Dont want to be one of those couples always fighting about finances... and since you say Im living in sin, you must know she has her own bedroom, its more like a closet, since she has so much clothes and shoes, but since we're on different schedules its hard to sleep together.

By the way, WhiteDevil is what my black buddy called me as a kid when I would beat him in basketball

I know this feeling you speak of. Im glad Im not the only one. For me, its kind of a combination of the feeling of being watched combined with a sort of tense electrical static-y feeling in the air. Does that even make sense?

I cant say with any certainty that my house was free from the occult, funny you ask, the last few tenants were VERY odd. Not in a creepy gothic way, just odd people. I dont think any crimes have taken place there. I would have known about it, but the house is only 65 yrs old, who knows what took place there prior...
I know she would never do that, shes way too scared, and she has white light around her if that makes sense. Shes a very good person, would never take part in Quija or any form of magick. I on the other hand, used to play with the Quija board everyday when I was young, as I begged my dad to buy me one for my bday one year. It did open me up to all sorts of weird encounters, shadow people, hat man, etc... But they would just watch, and over the years once I stopped letting them bother me, I think they got bored and moved on. Havnt seen them in many years. No cemetaries nearby. Oh, and this house is not the one I used the board in, I moved to another house down the street when I was 7 or 8, thats the house where TSHTF so to speak

Thankyou for your post by the way, the mantra thing does sound viable, especially if anything happens further.

I think thats a logical explaination for it. At 3 am your brainwave patterns are conductive to sleep and dreaming (I THINK they are called theta waves or some such, anyway it dosent matter)
Point is your bodys circadian rythm is telling you its time to sleep, your not alert and confusion is nornmal.
Most of us, due lifestyle/work etc live odd lives these days, counter to our bodys natural patterns. Health and diet probably also play a part.

As far as inexplicable events go, I dont see why any particular part of the day should be more 'conductive' than another.
Many years ago I had a strange experience on the way to work in the morning, where it seemed to me that I left home at 6am, traveled nearly 40 minutes by train and yet arrived just on 6am.
I did fall asleep during the journey. I did leave at 6am (usual hour), catch the 6;05 train (regular) and several folk assured me on arrival it was just after 6am, including the railway clock.

Logic tells me, I must have left earlier than I thought, caught an earlier train and sleep confusion was to blame, though years later I still dont think so, but my experience is subjective, so I can make no other conclusion about it.
I am sure of my arrival time, since others confirmed it and I was especially early that day having to wait for the factory forman to open up.
It seems to me, my recollection of catching the 6;05 was also correct since the first hint of daylight was apparent while I waited shivering at my station as usual.
Yet logic says both cannot be right.

Magnetic impressions, actually

Hmmm, 'Echo's' of life? Interesting concept, I like it!

I definitely feel that I am being watched. Even in my dreams, there is a continuous story playing out. It is getting to a point where I am looking forward to these encounters.

Have you thought of the possibility that you never woke up ? But instead dreamt the situation ?

I had something like it occur about a week ago. I woke up because of an alarm and red flashing light of a toy alarm clock I have laying around. Strange thing is, the thing isn`t set to go off and the volume is at 0 because I have never used it.
Come to think of it, I think it was also around 3am when this happened, but the morning after this expierence it felt more like a dream. So my guess now is that I never woke up by had a dream inside a dream, pretty weird stuff...

Yes, of course I have thought of that. But, the fact that I was asleep and woke up, then grabbed my gun and was up the rest of the night tells me otherwise.

Surely most cases like this are just the brain being overworked and tired, or being caught in between dream states and awakening. But I swear on my life this was real.

Good conversation to start. I am usually more involved with the daytime topics, politics, etc. but I felt compelled to reply to this post.

For most of my life, and I don't know if this is true for you, I have had unusual bouts of deja vu. This is the best term I have for it anyway. It would consist of dreams of normal things; simple conversations or how things would be arranged on a table in some distant location. The next day I would have the same conversation and see the same items that I dreamed on a table someplace in the exact position. It would happen over and over again. It was pretty frightening really and sometime it would induce a panic attack which is unusual for me as I am pretty adventurous in real life.

This pertains to your situation in one very interesting way. I could actually feel the things that I was dreaming. For example, I would dream that a person would say a specific sentence and then slap me on the shoulder. I could feel the pressure of their hand on my arm. Clearly remember the feeling of touch, heat, pressure, everything. At the time it seemed pretty dramatic then I would forget about it. When it happened to me in real life, the feeling of the contact would be the thing that sparked the "this is all happened before" feeling. I was reminded of this from your account of the person in bed next to you.

Soon I became more aware of this pattern of events and kept myself conscious of the possibility that it may occur. The result was that I remembered more and more, bringing details into focus. Maybe, just maybe, you are sensitive to what has happened in the past or what may happen in the future and your mind just can't seem to put it tigether. Maybe it is one of your relatives climbing into a bed that used to be in the same room. Maybe it is someone going to sleep 50 years from now.

Time is the really interesting factor. The 3am reference, though I am aware of the other meanings behind 3am, more about deadtime 3am could be something to look at. But I would ask you some other questions. Do you have along memory, remembering details about your very early childhood, etc.. Are you good at predicting outcomes? Have you experienced deja vu? Your experience and mine may be related. I hope they are as it may shine some light on my life as well.

I don't consider myself "special" just "awsome"
I am not overly religious or do I subscribe to alternative religious theory. I too consider myself a skeptical but open person. I would like to know what the hell is going on too! Good luck, hope I helped.

Thank you for the U2U

My reaction is that you are dealing with an Earthbound who doesnt like the fact that you are residing in your old home.

Many times over the years I have experienced a weight sitting on the bed, and have also heard what you are talking about- the angry indescernable wispering.

How many years has it been since you have lived in the house?
Did anyone else besides your parents live in the home since then?

Regardless, earthbound spirits wander, and often find new homes they like to "Squat" in and feed off of energy of the people living there (ie your parents or a prior tenant). It could be that a spirit is trying to scare you to get you to leave, that is fairly common.

Regardless, if you are terrified by this being, if you need additional help Id be happy to work with you to get rid of this spirit

Do you feel you are in the process are connecting again with your spiritual roots and the Lord Jesus Christ? If so there is your reason,.. try the name of Jesus next time they attack. There is power in that name. Also evaluate your life, any sin will give them purchase in your life. That is their ticket in and where they find rest, repent and change your life to live more like Christ and they will flee from you. God Bless

What's happening to you is real. I can confirm that as well as other readers here, so you are not crazy. Unfortunately talking with people about it, they will think you are on drugs or loony, so I caution you not to talk with people about it unless you know they are open or have a similar experience or if the thing starts hurting you or your girl.

If your girl is not experiencing the same thing, you could loose your relationship over it, so again, I highly encourage you to not talk with people that you know would have a hard time believing you.

A couple of questions:

Was the entity speaking in latin or in spanish? Big difference, are you sure it was latin?

This may not make sense to you, but are you the last man in your family name, meaning are you the last male that can reproduce offspring and are you the firstborn in your immediate family? The firstborn is always the last or head of the family. If you are the head, you are the first and last. If this is the case for you, i will explain what I'm talking about.

I sense a very traumatic thing happened to you at that house, when you were young. Did you ever get really scared or even a really bad nightmare or maybe lost a family member, like a grandparent. Not at the house necessarily, but did you deal with the emotions while in that house?

Peace

Who told you the Indians couldn't see the ships, "what the bleep do we know anyway"?

Seeing something doesn't work that way. Just because you haven't seen it before doesn't mean you can' t see it, it means you don't recognize it. They could see the ships, just like you or I could, they just had not seen them before, so they had no reference. They had seen a wake before, by way of their canoes, they just hadn't seen the ships before, but they could see them...promise.

When I was young, I had an episode of "sleep walking" (I've never slept walked before in my life or since) in which I awoke in my grandparent's living room. I clearly recall hearing loud banging noises and plates breaking, but nothing actually occurred. Needless to say, I was scared half to death.

The following night (Wednesday), I awoke to hear the toilet flushing repeatedly. It went beyond being a joke after it happened for what seemed to be an hour - just constant flushing.

The next week, on a Wednesday night, there was a very persistent banging on the window outside the room I was sleeping in.

On Wednesday night of the next week, the closet doors opened and shut by themselves for what seemed to be an hour. Note that it was a very-real, very-loud, and very-violent banging.

I never looked at the doors or the window when the activity happened, but I knew no other human was there. I did, however, feel a presence, a very evil something that was in that room with me, and I deducted that it was getting closer and closed with every event.

After the closet-door event, I woke up Thursday morning scared out of my mind. This is where my post comes home: I heard what seemed to be a cat running across the floor. (There were no cats in the house, although my grandparent's cat had died the year before!)

The running noise stopped and I felt pressure on my legs (5 - 10 lbs, like a feline) and noticed an indent in the sheets. It was as if a cat had jumped on me, but there was no physical animal in the room!

I knew that something would happen again the following Wednesday night, so I prayed asking for assistance from God or some higher power; after this request, I no longer had any experiences in that house.

I can't help but think that my grandparent's cat's "spirit" jumped on me to push me to prayer, as it wanted me to protect myself.

Before these events, I had used an Ouija board two or three times, but never after. Looking back, I feel as if I invited something in when I used it. (I know these boards work - I asked for the solution to a puzzle and I was given the answer in clear, easy-to-follow directions.)

There is some power in prayer. I don't know if it's awakening something in yourself or going above to another source, but I can tell you that I did live in a haunted apartment building two years ago and nothing bothered me, although the fuses tripped multiple times (and the box was not hot), my daughter's room was always freezing, and light bulbs blew out one-by-one when we were done moving everything out of each room.

Later, I had learned from my neighbor that 3 or 4 families had moved out of that unit within the span of one year. (We had moved to save some money and go into a smaller place, not because we felt something.)

If you can put your energy into a prayer and truly believe in what you are doing, you should be OK. Good luck.
