I just cannot understand how a newborn baby could be a sinner.

It seems to me that is very unfair - a baby is a pure clean soul, unblemished - so why are we told by the Bible (which I think was written by a lot of liars) and the churches (which I think are run by a lot of liars) that we are born in sin?

I think a baby starts out with a clean slate which is then blotted by a lot of other people first, and then by that person accordingly.

In other words, I think we are poisonous to our young people and also to ourselves.

Apparently we are all born into sin because Adam and Eve sinned. Because they were not supposed to question anything but they were supposed to dumbly obey.

This sounds very suspect to me.

Its because we are born with the nature to in. It doesn't necessarily mean that they have sin, just that that its in their dna to be capable of sin.

This is why my Dads brother who died at birth never "Made it to heaven"..

That type of Religious nonsense is sick and twisted.

So why are we born with the nature to sin?

Because our creator made us that way. It is like wargames - someone created us and made us warlike and horrible, and is trying to save us, and there is a darker force who wants us to die.

Our life is a computer game.

Ok...there is one simple answer to this and it is as follows...

Babies are born into a world of sin, being associated with sin is the same as being sinful.

Its very simple, its like being associated with a murder even if you didnt commit it, its the same thing.

This may seem unfair but by being born into sin, it should help you walk on the right path and defy the sin of the world which is what God wants you to do...

me personally try not to get into religious debates, only because it is such a touchy subject for some. So could end up with some arguments here. Now I have learned a lot from different types of religions, but they all boil down to one thing, a higher power controlling everything. Which in a sense it just seems more likely, that something is. But could be the possibility that there isn't too. Now I don't get into any religions, because I believe in my own, by just putting most religions together, and making up my own mind, as most people do. On thing I have noticed is they always bring up these sins. Now I have had the Bible read to me, and even went as far as finding out what Egyptians and Mayans and Quran and Aztecs too, just to find out what they believe. After all that this is what I have come up with, just remember though, this is what my heart and soul tells me, not my Brain.
I believe that physical man, woman and child, can not sin, but can make mistakes in life, and yes this starts from the moment we are born. The only way I can see a sin, is if you rip your soul apart, and do something against your soul's command. possible ways of doing this is by Murdering someone, Adultery against your soul mate, Or pedophilia. Anything in those nature's can tare the soul apart, and once this has been done, this is what I class to be a SIN. As for everyday mistake's us humans make, that do not involve those types of thing's, I am sorry I can not call them sins, but only mistakes that we can learn from. We are very similar to most animals in a way, were once we get a taste of blood, It is very hard to turn back from that. I believe that a higher power exists and forgives all of mistake's, but for Sins as I have explained above, are extremely hard to be forgiven for. Not say they can not be forgiven, but just extremely hard.
I just hope this gave you a little more in site, on this matter, even though you do not have to take it into account. It is just what makes sense to me from all the knowledge, I have learned about religions. Peace Buddy

The bible is referring to we are born in sin, thus we must get out of it by self sacrifice. otherwise, we have to spend some more time in hell (earth).

For some odd reason, people think earth is in the middle

Learn some more things before you jump to conclusions, the bible is surprisingly wise, if you look at it unbiasedly. I am not religious, more of a spiritual person, but i love all religions with all my heart. their attempts at the whole picture is by the many, and all are dead on, if you look for the similarities not the differences.

In response to NAKED RIB WOMAN ATE THE APPLE. This is one thing I have to say about that is, only ADAM was told not to touch the forbidden fruit, Not EVE. This is where religion, has a flaw in it. How can someone sin if they were not told about the forbidden fruit. I always say Question everything. Peace

Yes you are right, those who believe that is what the bible teaches, well...
The bible clearly states the age of accountability, at what age that is, its hard to determine, but I believe it is when ones brain is considered fully developed. Children do not go to hell. Even children who do horrible things.

Very early on a baby will manifest the purest form of selfishness known to man: Survival Instinct. There is no such thing as a "good" or "evil" baby, just one that will do whatever it takes to stay alive.

That's because they aren't. No one is.

Natural sin is something made up by the church for power and control. Nothing more.

(notice I said "church" and *not* Christianity)

No baby is sinful or born into sin. Completely ridiculous. Power and control, power and control.

Sin is Death. Death is not just dieing...you by yourself. Sin is the death of your name upon the earth. Not your first name, but your surname.

When that name is gone, so is any memory of you.

For instance lets say you are the last person in your family line able to regenerate and you don't....this is sin. The death of your name upon the earth.

We travel by blood, "the life" is in it.

Love one another....means just what it says.

A baby is that new kingdom with the name of "my god"....your last name...on it's forehead.

This is the truth....

Peace

This is pretty much when I dumped Christianity all together. I couldnt fathom that my daughter was sinful and needed 'saving' before she took her first breath?? Personally, if God was still holding a grudge after all this time, it would make God flawed.

Uhh... you're confused because you haven't read the bible... which is the basis for the notion of original sin AND the reason christ died, etc.

In other words the entire underpinning of Christianity.

If babies didn't have sin, there would be non need for Chris and therefore no Christianity.

Does it make "sense"?

No.

But why are you talking about religion like it's rational?

Nothing like a little nonsense to make every conversation more confusing.

Here's Genesis Chapter 3:

1 Now the serpent was more subtle than any other wild creature that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God say, 'You shall not eat of any tree of the garden'?" 2 And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.'"

So there goes another uninformed theory out the window...

and hey, guess what:

6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also gave some to her husband, and he ate.

Not only did she know, she took it forst and gave it to her husband.

So yeah, deny lying through your teeth.

Thanks the bible and Christianity on that one, this is the only way that back in the dark ages the church could recruit is minions and give them salvation through the holy spirit and baptism.

Occurs anybody that believe such a myth of creation of children been born with the original sin, (as everybody have to have sex to procreate, at least back then, now we have invitro) is just an old time hoax to keep people fearful.

but then again it was nothing wrong when the bible later on told the people in the garden of eden to be "fruitful and multiply"
all in sin.

I am confused because I HAVE read the bible.

So explain it to me.

Also, do not tell me that I am confused unless you are unconfused.
