You are one of my favorite posters/thread writers at this moment.
Seems we have the same ideals and sounds like we would probably be the only ones fighting on the front line while these other posters sit back and throw stones. (and call names)

Thank you very much for that summary!
At least the main points are out there now.
_____________________________________________________________

Again people, if it was some democrat delivering this speech, you'd all have something to say, wouldn't you? But it wasn't. You know why?
Because democrats want a big, spending government!
Maybe if Oprah delivered it you'd pay attention?
Or maybe Obama?
But we all know Obama would never talk like that.
Because he is the one signing off on all this spending!

What is the deal with posters who continually bash Beck?

Obviously only a few people pay attention in here. (thanks!)
My original post states, "I don't care if you like him or not!"

I could care less about anyone's ideologies.
This is what's going to tear this great Nation apart.
Instead of arguing about things we can't control, compromise on things we can.

But no! You can't do that! You have to nit-pick until the meaning of the message is destroyed in some useless babble of a conversation that takes up 7 pages of a thread.

I feel sorry for those who are close minded because of what they see on youtube. Heck, I feel sorry for those who believe everything they see or read.

I think endisnighe said it best. And I agree, but a little different.
I only believe 1/2 of what I see and nothing I hear.
You know why?
Because I do research.
I make sure these people aren't "lying" to me. (like some posters say they are)
Then when you sit back and realize that there's more lies than you can count, you have to filter through the lies and determine you own outcome.

Glad to see that most people here are not fooled by or impressed by Glennie Beck, the actor.

Both he and Ron Paul are paid shills for the NWO.

They both make about the same. Ron Paul is a wealthy man since he sold out the patriots during campaign 2008, now a respected "talking head" on the Zionist media.

Gag.

They are both actors, both playing their respective roles.

Ron Paul is not a family man, a known Luciferian, his campaign director in 2008 died of AIDS, his campaign staff was made of queens and crossdressers.

He cares nothing about any of us. These people have sold their souls a long time ago. When the bombs start dropping over here, they will be yukking it up in the underground cities.

You think?
Well just because they might have "sold their souls"...
Doesn't mean I have.

....and I will still fight for my rights as an American.
Until they come to my door and try to take them from me, I will fight.
After that scenario takes place, lets hope it doesn't, I will continue to fight.

I never wanted to start looking at this speech with a conspiracist mindset.
That would make things even crazier and I'd shell myself in a corner with food and guns and just sit and wait. Wait for what?

For nothing. Because nothing happens unless you make a move.
Nothing happens unless you want it to.

I'm completely amazed at how so many of you A) Post lies about Beck B) Didnt watch the video at all but post based on your impression of him.

What a bunch of shallow people.

This speech whether you like it or not will be downloaded, emailed and distributed as one of the greatest political speeches of all time. And he did it all without looking like a friggin bobblehead reading out of a teleprompter. I'd love to see head to head no rules debate between Obama and Beck. Beck would wipe the floor with him easily.

glenn beck is a fool.

The GOP is/was called the big tent party because it used to try and include all Americans...not just the few.

If beck...the big fat blowhard...and the hard right think that the party can be its core (which has always been a minority in the nation...including in the GOP) only and win then they are going to lose...because a hard right agenda alienates voters...polls and elections have proved repeatedly.

So go for it. I will hold back my crocodile tears...promise.

I'm confused..Your statement is at odds with the fact that Beck rails against the hard right. He states all the time that since the republican party is weakened and in trouble that he fears it being taken over by the hard right.

Great speech to watch. It has been interesting to go through this thread and read the responses. Most Beck bashers won't comment on the content of the speech at all. All they do is rip on Beck. Fine, you hate Beck, how about you comment on the content of the speech now please.

Additionally, if you don't believe Beck's conclusions, please go do some research and see what conclusions you come up with. No one is refuting Beck's economic statistics and facts. They may disagree with his opinion, but the facts and stats are sound. The facts are hard to hear people....... due to poor fiscal policy in DC from both parties, the country is a very bad position now. And there is no easy solution. The US govt has nearly $14 trillion in debt as we speak, and has $99 trillion in unfunded liabilities. Basically the govt has tried to be all things to all people, and has over spent, over borrowed and over promised. We really have no way of paying for all these social programs that have been promised, and some very hard decisions have to be made soon.

This is all Beck is trying to point out. When you look at the numbers and do the research, you really can't come to another conclusion concerning economics. You shoot down the message because of the messenger. But literally, if this speech was loaded into Obama's telepromters and he gave it word for word, you same people would be standing up cheering him for such a great speech. What I am witnessing in this thread is a complete lack of intellectual honesty and independence. People here are acting like they are rooting for sports teams....... anything the other side sayd or does is wrong, no matter what. Some of you really should take a step back and consider why it is that you cannot even allow yourself to consider that some of what Beck says is correct. And if you don't agree with him, stop the insults and post your logic as to why not with some facts to back it.

I mention the hard right because they have been the most vocal in calling for GOP purity and forcing out what they call RINO's and I am pointing out that is GOP "purity" would further push it into a minority status since most people are alienated by the hard right.

Beck was calling for more GOP purity...and as far as I can tell the purging of liberal and moderate branches of the GOP is what has led to its current state...that and junior's administration.

As it stands Nixon would be too liberal for the current GOP.

It would be like thinking that the Democrats could win with just their most left members.

Glenn Beck... where to begin. Glenn, is an opportunist. He feeds off the left and the right. I am a Christian conservative and I can tell you that he does not speak for me. Sure he says a lot of things that one can agree on, but it's all for show. Theatrics. It's a game that he plays like chicken little, "the sky is falling, the sky is falling ! " In the end he's a useful tool of the government elite. But to make my point let's look at a couple of areas where he shows what he is.

1. He calls the people who want to know if Obama actually has a legal US birth certificate, nuts. No one has ever seen the birth certificate and it's kept under lock and key. A reproduction copy of something like a birth certificate was shown, but not the real thing. Yet he calls people who demand to know for sure crazy.

2. He slams the 9/11 truth people because they find something not right when buildings pancake in demolition fashion and then burn for two months at 2000 degrees. That the air guard was in stand down mode. That seemingly no one knew of any such plot even though we had already been attacked several times before with one attack on the same buildings years before. Yet because they demand some real answers, to him they are crazy. Look how he destroyed one candidate's chances in the primary because she dared to say we need to know more.

3. Remember the FEMA camp story ? The one he suddenly changed his mind about in less than 8 hours ? He was going to expose it in the morning and by the time 5 pm came around he saw the light and called those people crazy too.

Beware of men like Glenn Beck. He is truly an insider of whatever conspiracy there is between the parties. Dangerous. You see, there can never be such a thing as a conspiracy to Glenn. No, keep the people fighting over the party thing and the real agenda can slide on through.

Recommendation, take Glenn with some doubt. He is not what he pretends to be. He's just an actor doing what he does best. Theater.

Alright I have been lurking these boards for a bit. But I think it's time to put my foot down here in this topic. Some of the arguments here are RIDICULOUS. For some reason, ATS has this fixation that whoever is making a profit is automatically a fake. If glenn has sky-rocketing ratings, and bestselling books, then more power to him! What, you wouldn't do the same? You wouldn't love to speak your mind, write books, and get paid handsomely for it? Ridiculous. This part of a post made me shiver:

one that is force-feeding the love of the American dream and capitalism

Excuse me!?
What? Capitalism is what made our country so great today, and the American dream is the best dream out there! Ask people from other countries, poor countries, even people form european countries! I go to a very culturally diverse college, and many are sent here form overseas with their last dollar. These people believe they are blessed to even have the opportunity to live in this great country!

Some are even taking stabs at him for going great lengths to garner huge ratings. Wow, so what do you want him to do? Not try to garner ratings? Let his show flop? Jeez. Do I watch his show daily? No. Do i watch his show on occasion? Yes. And don't beat me with the Conservative-Brainwashed Stick. I watch CNN, Fox News, and Independent Reports online. All alike. The best part is, I know not to take each source seriously because I know there is a bias in all of them. If any of you watch his show, you would know that he rags on Dems and Repubs! He's a constitutionalist, he believes in the foundations of this nation. He may side with the Repub party more often than not because they to support the foundation of this nation far more than Progressives and Dems alike. And if there are people in this nation who believe the constitution is outdated, lackluster, or needs improving, then please: move to Europe or Canada. you'll soon find out that they don't have it any better than we do, if not WORSE.

I go into his show with an open mind, as I do with every media outlet. I will admit, he is a bit hokey, comedic, and ridiculous. If he can harness his own common sense, and explain it in a simple comedic manner, then hey, more power to him! I always loved the classes in high-school where the teacher was funny, yet still got the job done, who doesn't? And if you don't, well, then you're just plain boring. One episode he explained how the Dems blame the Repubs for everything, and the Repubs blame the Dems for everything. He said that our nation's problems aren't going to be fixed by parties, it can only be fixed by US! The people! Now which side is he taking then? The constitution's side! And that my friends, is a side we as Americans should all stand by.

I belong to a fraternity at my college, and last night we were talking about paying off our college debts. One guy said "I don't need to work i'll just pay it off with my Obama Money awwww yeahhhh!!!" I cringed, sighed, skipped a beat, and left the room. Horrendous, a person with his mind entrenched in the idea that all will be given to him by the government. In his speech Glenn claimed he got where he was today by standing on his own 2 feet in that lonely single apartment. Lier or not, that is an inspiring story which may or may not be true for him, but is true for hundreds of thousands of success stories across America. Coming from nothing to something through hard-work and dedication. Im convinced alot of people don't even watch his show, or even this speech! They just write him off as a Fox News Whack Job. I am nor Repub or Dem, I find alot of Glenn Beck's ideas great, I laugh with Colbert Report-Jon Stewart etc., and I can sit down and watch CNN. It's about taking all the information in, not just one side. And from all angles, I can definately say that something IS wrong with this country and only WE can fix it. Not OBAMA not GLENN.

Hmmmm, i remember him SELLING the Iraq War, Afghanistan, IRAN invasion, spitting on Ron Paul before he cozies up to him, spitting on ANYONE questioning 9/11, selling the virtues of the Patriot Act while it was young legislation after 9/11, spread fear of Arabs....he loves and looks up to Rush Limbaugh, stated that he LOVES Dick Cheney....

I could go on.

A man who "loves" Dick Cheney? Who with an ounce of sanity "loves Dick Cheney"?

Glenn Beck does...

But then again, I am mainly a supporter of Glenn's IDEA of America. His views on the future, fear-mongering, etc. Might as well make him an Alex Jones groupie at times. But as far as limiting governmental interaction with the economy, etc. These are all great ideas. The problem is, America has turned into this new-age-touchy-feely-politically-correct-go-green-hug-fest. Whatever happened to tough love, hard labor, and working for the American dream?

Alot of you took shots at Glenn for being a drug addict and alchaholic. We are all human, and millions struggle with these problems every day. If he can quit the habit, and be the second most watched talk show on television, then damn, god bless him haha.

I think he is getting written off because of his history, not because of his message.

I too watch all of the news sources available so that I can hear it from all the different perspectives. I even watch Glenn Beck for his perspective but I have to say that anyone who thinks that he is anything other than a verifiable nutcase must be one as well. Listening to Beck is a lot like listening to Sarah Palin, you end up scratching your head wondering what in the hell they just said. It doesn't even matter if you record the speech and play it over and over again, it still makes absolutely no sense.
The republican party, as well as the tea party movement, are nothing more than parties made up of hollow slogans. This is why they find it impossible to have a meaningful and intelligent debate on any topic. When ask to respond on almost any subject, they immediately begin to recite sentences built around slogans and in doing so, they totally exhaust their knowledge of the subject at hand.
Beck is so stupid that he borders on dangerous and anyone who doesn't recognize this fact should seriously question their own judgement.

Yet another post about Beck and not about the content of his superb speech. Miss the point much?

The speech was outstanding in its content and delivery. Just another wake up call for those who keep hitting the snooze button on reality.

Why is everyone so intimidated by Beck the Man? His ratings just keep climbing with every monumental decline in Obama'z poll ratings.

That speech is all over the place, in it's entirety. Glenn Beck is a showman like Barnum and Bailey and just because he made a great speech that hit home with a lot of Americans doesn't mean he is sincere. This is a snake oil salesman...if you want it he's got it in his tent somewhere. No integrity, no substance, no consistency, no clear convictions, no definable platform.
Yes we are all constitutionalists. Glen doesn't have an exclusive on the founding fathers though you'd think he does from listening to him.

He is a pawn of Rupert Murdock, who himself is an operator of the Illuminati, a mouth piece for every Giant Corporation, Exxon, Monsanto, Cargill, Haliburton, Wackenhut Wellpoint, Big Business, Insurance and the Military Industrial Complex we have been warned about since Eisenhower.
This whole ball of wax is under a protective umbrella and gets to speak from a microphone via the pundits like Beck at FIXED NEWS.

There is a sucker born every day - and two to take him.
Glenn Beck is one of the two.

Uhh, excuse me, but Alex Jones is about to release a documentary on Glenn Beck and what a sell-out phony he is and how he is a tool of the Illuminiati being used to co-opt the Tea Parties so they can lead the resistance over the cliff.

He's a paid actor. But then Ron Paul is a fake too.

The people need to stop trusting these puppets and paid traitors who will say and do anything their masters tell them, and don't care how much harm they do in the process.
