Outstanding relief from the "day to day"..a s&f for you for making me think!

There are very few things in this world that "just seem right" at this moment. These creatures doing this just seems right!

Perhaps we should all take a hint! Go get a camera and look at your world to see what should be shared. I have wild snow drifts in my back yard, and no pictures. The sun will set tonight, just like it did last night when I wished I had my camera...

My daughters will be a day older tomorrow, and this day will be past. What is "right" about their lives today...what should i celebrate with them?

There is one guy manning my department at work today...wonder if he'd like a home cooked meal and some company at supper time tonight?

Wonder if old Mrs. ????? across the street might like to see me and the girls? Wonder if she has some old pictures and stories to share?

Thanks for this thread. It reminded me of how much of I love the water and dolphins and how much I want to learn to surf; I've never done it before.
I wonder if a dolphin would trust someone enough to let that person surf ON the dolphin
?

I live in San Diego and swim in the ocean a lot. Last summer I had a group of 3 dolphins come right up next to me. Scared the hell out of me at first, thought they we sharks.

I have to say, swimming with dolphins was an amazing experience!

Here is a guy who is surfing ON a dolphin.

Though I was thinking about someone being able to do it in the ocean. Although it might not be the best idea.

after 25 years of surfing i just realized i have taken this a little for granted.

quite regularly you would see this in the surf, dolphins riding the waves
and sometimes you can actually share a wave with them, dolphins and humans on the same wave, now that s a rush!!

You get scared that you will run them over sometimes...but it never happens they are skilled surfers, the best in the world.

I hope to be reincarnated as a dolphin. Not only are they intelligent, but they know how to have a good time.

Awesome pics, thanks for sharing this.

Better not go swimming near Japan, they may getcha.

I fed a wild dolphin some minnows once in a canal a little south of Sarasota near Osprey. Had some scratches on his head; locals had a name for him but I have forgotten it.

Im an aussie surfer and every summer we get to surf with dolphins when they migrate down the coast. If you duck your head under when they are close you can hear them sing, they get so close that i have brushed one with my foot. Its a very special and spiritual time for me when this happens as they really do surf with you by jumping through the waves and flipping around. By the way those waves arnt big, definetly no fear of god, and no-where near 25 ft. But pix made me smile at work. cheerz

I had the opportunity of petting one in the Sea of Cortez when I was sailing on a buddy's catamaran. Very strange experience. They just came up to the boat after we started throwing dinner scraps into the water. They are very intelligent. The one I touched seemed to be the leader of the group. I don't see how the Japanese can slaughter these creatures for food. It's almost akin to cannibalism.

Against History
www.primitivism.com...

The managers of Gulag's islands tell us that the swimmers, crawlers, walkers and fliers spent their lives working in order to eat.

These managers are broadcasting their news too soon. The varied beings haven't all been exterminated yet. You, reader, have only to mingle with them, or just watch them from a distance, to see that their waking lives are filled with dances, games and feasts. Even the hunt, the stalking and feigning and leaping, is not what we call Work, but what we call Fun. The only beings who work are the inmates of Gulag's islands, the zeks.

Hope to be reincarnated as a dolphin ? Hahaha. Humanity has a problem then. You feel their freedom, you feel they "live". And it's not always about "stop being so greedy, go enjoy life". Look at these guys:

Child Labor

They have no choice, their life is denied. They are HUMANS. Not dolphins, not monkeys.

You actually think they're having fun? Think they want to be there?

Snorky: Then your ancestors drove us into the sea, where we suffered for millions of years.

Marge: But you seemed so happy in the ocean. All that playful leaping--

Snorky: We were trying to get out! It's cold, it's wet, every morning I wake up phlegmy.

Lisa: Plus all that sewage we keep dumping.

Snorky: That was you?

Homer: It was her alright. Take the one who wronged you!

These guys really do have amazing social structures, 400 of them surfing the same area at once ! Imagine the punchups if 400 human surfers tried to do that ?
