Taken away ones FREEWILL

To know the difference between FREE WILL and WILL POWER, and...

...to abuse those that use their will power to give others free will.

One person's will power may be the free will of a nation.

An ultimate act of evil? Hitler or Pol Pot or Stalin or Mao are easy.

An ultimate act of evil would be to pursue profits to the detriment of the rest of either your community or of your nation or the rest of humanity.

To spread confusion and disinformation to obscure either your own involvement or to protect your profits when they threaten either the environment or mankind...

again putting your own gain before everything and everyone else regardless of the consequences.

Another would be to cause the death of your species. Whoever right right or wrong in the beginning is moot....pressing the red button is an ultimate evil...no political argument between nations is worth the consequences of a nuclear...biological or chemical war.

Those are some I can immediately think of.

Denying a man a beer.Im kidding.
There is not worst type of evil in my opinion, there are however many kinds.
like stealing people for prostitution, slavery, presidents with huge secrets and hidden agendas, making the world believe in a ghost, killing jews, raping, and well i can go on for a while, you get the picture.Killing 1000 jews to me,is just as bad as ruining one(1) children's mental health by molestation.

The ultimate act of evil - denial of life. Happens everywhere, in this "civilization". People caught doing stuff they hate to buy # they don;t need. I said "caught" - some are really caught, not by choice, you can't say "stop being so interested in money".

Their life is denied : www.zoriah.net...

Want to know the meaning of life ? Search for Joseph Campbell.

"People say that what we're all seeking is a meaning for life. I don't think that's what we're really seeking. I think what we're seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonance within our own innermost being and reality, so that we actually feel the rapture of being alive. That's what it's all finally about."

"The world is full of people who stopped listening to themselves" - Joseph Campbell

When we deny people, when we deny them seeking that which makes them feel alive, that is evil.

I'm surprised no one mentioned this. I've always thought an ultimate act of evil would be to completely destroy earth just to be the one to do it and/or act of suicide, taking everyone else with you.

I'm not sure why a discussion of 'Hitler' is the beginning of a thread on 'ultimate evil'.

Hitler saved us from a lot of horrors that are now regenerating. You know, forced communism, the red scare, which history conveniently forgot.

It was out of Hitler's control pretty quickly once the bureaucrats and media got their claws into the war. His big sin? Being allowed to fall for himself as a saviour, while pumping himself full of drugs like speed, coke. A little weed would have been better to keep him on a spiritual path. Now look what we have. Murder with a homey smile, satellites that kill on an invisible man to man basis.

The bolshevik jews were the bad guys, and I'll always remember that the war was altered so that churchill could have the Japanese hit PH as to steal land for israel.

the ultimate evil act would be voting for Sarah Palin for president. Hopefully no one will ever do this!

Ah - so you're talking about suppression of the human spirit? There is a difference between being alive and living. So many people today are just surviving and not living. The human spirit seeks adventure, freedom, knowledge and to some degree security.

Today that spirit of adventure and knowledge is all gone. We believe what the TV tells us and watch reality shows - other people play acting what their inner self really wants to do so you can sit at home and dream.

But thats all you get to do any more.

So yes I agree with you - those that suppress the human spirit are truly evil.

Um, what exactly is wrong with communism? I would just like to hear it in your own words. Hitler was a bad guy for sure. But his primary goal was not saving the world from communism.

Denial of Life or Liberty. In particular killing ones own child for convenience.

Interesting question.

Is it kind of sad I laughed at this?
If someone completely destroyed earth, then yeah, they take the cake.

I'd like to say along side with my other comments.
At first He just wanted to make a difference and what he thought was best for Germany.

Without money, there wouldn't be a war.
I don't no if you have seen the film Hitler: Rise of evil. ?
Very recommendable to do. It also shows An American working for the big money. To be funding the rise to power.

And the Bush family is often talked about ( also on ATS ) to be that family.or one of them

This means again IMO the greatest evil is what I said before.

Stalins communist rules of the people basicly are if act out what ist states a utopian world for mankind. Unfortunatlt everybody has to egree with them making it impossible to achieve. As we've allready seen happening.

If One had 'faith' grounded on Reason, they wouldn't allow themself to 'lose' it.

Personally I think the ultimate act of evil is to attempt to destroy anothers' faith. It seems to take quite alot of hatred to try something like that. But thats just my opinion.

Sounds like an argument of which could be used for 'censorship'. The 'authorities' always seem to have a 'new' angle, a new excuse to further ignore and disgrace the Constitution and Bill of Rights, of which millions, 'supposedly' lost their Lives defending. Logic/Reason doesn't 'apply' here either.

I'll have to assume it's of un-natural or rather 'human' design.

Blueprints are 'Blue' for a Reason, I suppose.
It's the 'shade' that counts.
Kind of like the 'right' shade of grey, for the 'moment' in ~time~

Makes 'sense' to me.
But that's just 'me'.
That's Good enough.

.....cause the biggest evil of all is to deny oneself Of the Self and deprive the world of his/her Gifts. It's Valentines day. A special day. The wallet 'shouldn't be necessary, though norms Do otherwise.

The Ultimate Evil is to intentionally cause mental or physical pain upon a lifeform who has done no wrong. An example would be the rape of a child, beating an elderly person or torturing a cat. The drive that produces these acts is evil. It is unjustified, unprovoked, and done solely to harm another who has done no harm to you. Killing alone is evil, but to engage in a prolonged torture is on a different level.

The ultimate evil?
The murder of God by Satan would have to be the ultimate evil, imo.

Though I would agree with the posts thus far, as to what equals pure evil. I would like to add this to the list.

The greatest lie ever told was not the Devil convincing the world he did not exist, the greatest lie ever told has always been and will always remain... convincing even one person that a lie is the truth. From that simple beginning all the other evils are spawned.

Just food for thought!

Hearsay Is as hearsay Is.
Worthless.
One should be careful to 'know' what they know and why they know what they know.

To prejudice another is to pre-judge another.
How many examples would one need to know that miscarriages of justice are often the result of 'alterior' and/or 'ulterior' motives Of others?

Conscience All clear here.
Over.....

.....one Dru' a picture worth a thousand lies.
That's worth a thousand flies, just to clean up the mess.
The Sun 'does' come out tomorrow. It's always a day away.

The ultimate evil:

To have the ability to recognise such an act and do nothing to stop it.

Christianty holds that the only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirt. Also, taking the "Mark of the Beast" entry into Heven will be denied. So what keeps the christian from heven is the greatest evil. BUT, the murder of the innocent, really, Our Military does this in OUR NAME, so then WE are the Great Satan as the world believes. WE are the "Evildoers"
