If you read back on some posts here, I pointed out, RISK especially the 1980s maps, put New Zealand in the wrong place, to the north east.

i.imgur.com...

Let me assure you as a fourth generation Kiwi, its in about the same place as always. Barring tectonic shift

I've never seen a risk map in my life. North west master race.

** most australians havent got a clue where NZ is, so if you told them it is off to the NW, they will believe you.

** same with english school kids. they have all heard of Manchester, but just where it is, they dont know.

this is the state of "education" in the West !!

I remember reading this on here a few years back. It frustrated me and I was almost tempted to start an account so I could put in my two cents that the education system in places must be severely lacking because NZ has never moved from the spot it is in now. I thought you were all either daft or mad. Until I discovered the Berenstein/Berenstain Bears debacle and specifically remembered it as Berenstein which is strange considering it was my favourite book series as a child, I had never seen the show so never misheard it and I have somehow been able to read fluently since I was 3. I would have bet my life on it. I now believe you that NZ has moved from where you remember it to be. It just hasn't moved for the rest of us. Nobody is wrong, it's just the way it is. Somehow tied into quantum physics, I'm guessing. If you're thinking I'm nuts as well, Google the Mandela Effect and see if anything has changed for you that you have previously been unaware of.

What gets me is the ignorance of some about what is being discussed

Like kiwis who think that because they live in new Zealand that they know that their country is not out of place

When the truth is these ignorant people don't understand alternate time lines and or dimensions

It's sad really

excactly. If they didnt switch from pur timeline, they wouldnt SEE the change, because the maps here didnt cjangr, WE came from a place where they eere different, and YES a few kiwis see the change!

Agreed New Zealand was always on the right side of Australia or at least for the last 57 years. However the Berenstain Bears were the Berenstein Bears when I was growing up and Nelson Mandela has died 2-3 times.

NZ at some point was to the north west and Australia was surrounded by ocean far away from anywhere else, never had that spiky land mass on top either come to think of it, wtf?

This is giving me the chills.

For me, this 'shift' happened TODAY. Before today, Australia was ALWAYS surrounded by ocean, far away from everywhere else, and that SPIKE and GULF are completely new.

But you wrote this post five years ago. That's when I DEFINITELY saw Australia as the 'normal' version, not this 'spiky' version. In fact, I checked Australia around last year or so, just to see that New Zealand is in the north-west position, like it's supposed, and was mildly shocked to see it on the south-east side instead.

So, a year-or-so ago, for me, Australia was 'normal-shaped' (no spike), 'far away' (no Papua-New-Guinea near it), although New Zealand was on the south-east side.

What does this mean? I have no idea, but I am completely freaked out, I can't even look at Australia's shape anymore - I just know THAT monstrosity is not the Australia I know, and I can't accept it as Australia. Australia is supposed to have this beautiful 'diamond-shape', way more round, not as rough, and no spike.

Could it be, that you shifted into this reality earlier, and I just shifted here today?

Could this post be read in the timeline/reality I came from, five years ago?

This is so impossible.. I never believed the whole 'timeline' theory, although I entertained it as a possibility. But I never took the people seriously, who wrote about it. I thought there was something wrong with them (mentally ill?), or possibly they were pranksters, jokesters, or maybe just remembered things wrong, etc.

It's easy to dismiss text on the internet.. but if people would hear the fear and sincerity in my voice now, they wouldn't doubt so much. (Though they would still rationalize it so they wouldn't have to face it).

Oh, how I ENVY those that can live in oblivious bliss, without HAVING to face 'shifting'. I never thought anything this could seriously happen to me. I always wished that an UFOship might land and such, and I have experienced some 'weird' stuff in my life, but.. NOTHING like this.

Australia can't just change location and shape. It just .. can't. This isn't possible.

If this was someone else's post, I wouldn't probably take it seriously, and I couldn't honestly take their word as truth, only as a very unlikely possibility at best.

But it's different when you experience it yourself.. your eyes totally open at that point. Thank goodness I am not the only one, or I would probably go crazy. I am already probably on the brink..

This is like a bad movie or Twilight Zone episode.. this just .. doesn't happen! I refuse to have this happen.. but here it is, weird Australia that looks like something completely different.

I am going to have to re-learn this whole 'timeline' / 'dimension' .. did Edgar Cayce live here, too? Did Faul replace Paul here, too? At least I know Mandela didn't die here in the eighties, like he originally did.. was there a Berlin Wall here, and East/West germany, which joined? (Though I can't understand how such a tiny Germany could be split to two - Poland is not supposed to be that huge! And what's up with that separate Mongolia??)

I wonder if it's possible to 'shift back' .. I REALLY don't want to give too much credence to this hare-brained sounding 'timeline' theory (though possible, I wouldn't have thought it's this real)...

But honestly, I don't know what else to do. I am completely freaked out now.. I keep wishing this is just a bad dream, and Australia will actually look normal, when I wake up.

It means either the whole continent of Australia and the arrangement of eth South Pacific & Indian oceans has changed recently......

OR....

You were mistaken.

I suggest that 1 of these is more likely than the other, and that same one doesn't require you to freak out at all so is probably the best option to run with unless more info comes to hand.

I suggest that 1 of these is more likely than the other,
Research into memory shows that people have a tendency to not believe their memory is mistaken, even when shown proof they are mistaken. The research also shows we are overconfident in the capability of our memory. We are fascinating creatures:

You Have No Idea What Happened

even when we tell them they’re mistaken people still don’t buy it.”

So while the "you were mistaken" option seems more likely, research shows people might not buy that. The very existence of this thread and many of the comments in it would seem to confirm that research.

I live on the east coast of Australia. The Australian map is very different to what I know to be true.

Australia is too far north and New Zealand is too far south east. The shape of Australia is distorted everywhere especially the "Gulf of Carpentaria" - that big chunk is just wrong. The Great Australian Bight in the south is too small. There has never been an Italy boot near Adelaide. The monstrosity sticking out of the side of Western Australia near Dirk Hartog Island offends me. The size and shape of Western Australia is almost as disturbing as the two big growths either side of Darwin - we only had one growth before. The outline looks wrong just about everywhere.

Also disturbed by changes to Poland, Germany, Japan, Cuba to name a few.

I am in my 40's and for the first time since high school I looked at my old atlas - exactly the same as the internet.

The previous day I looked at my dictionary that I haven't needed for about 25 years - to check the spelling of dilemna. Is there anyone here prepared to agree with the dictionary that the correct spelling is dilemma?

Two points..... After saying this. I was in the NZ Navy and spent more time sailing around OZ than I care to remember. Nothing has "moved" .

(1) Maybe memory is not reliable if it is not from a repeated source. So looking at a map a few times would of course not stick .

(2) With GPS and better surveying techniques. Some land masses have been corrected. We did this on Naval survey ships all the time. Even up till the early 90s some isolated shorelines were not accurate.

Thanks ever so for your input. I disagree.

Living in Australia for over 40 years and seeing the map every single day of my life on weather reports is a "repeated source" as opposed to "looking at a map a few times".

Hi everybody,
So I'm a bit confused as to all that is going on...
I figured I'd reply here, and see if someone could see if I have right in my mind.

To all who always remembered New Zealand being on the right hand side of Australia, you're absolutely 100% right. It's always been there on this timeline. On the home timeline (Timeline A, this is Timeline B), it was on the left hand side. Also picture New Zealand kinda being swapped for sides to match the left side of Australia. Oh & in one piece.

1. I've always been in aww over Australia's awesomeness, every since I was a young kid. I remember watching the Love Boat Australia episodes. On Timeline A there was like an entire Australia Season, here it's 1 episode. Basically in that season they were picking passengers up from Sydney & taking them on various cruises. I was just being amazed by the beauty. I did a ton of research on Australia back in the 90's. BTW that show is quite different on this timeline.

2. I rememger in Geography I used to draw out world maps. New Zealand on left hand side.

3. In 2006 I used to work at a winter resort, and met guy from Sydney, Australia. For Pete's Sake (get it from Family Guy?) we'll call him Nick. Nick told me a lot about Australia. Nick regularly made the trip in 1 day (which includes visitation time) to visit his best friends who had moved. I remember stories like this were regularly making headlines, about how they were building better ships to beat top current speads/time.
We did break up with the whole long distance thing, but remained best friends.

In 2009 I started dating again. I decided to call him, and tell him the good news as it had been about a year since we had talked. I thought he had changed his number. I couldn't find his facebook profile on my list, friends, or his brothers. He came from a large family, 5 brothers, 3 sisters.

So I called his mother, & SHE HAD NEVER HEARD OF HIM
I don't think that he exists here. I was able to confirm who she was, and 100% of the deatails of her marriage/family that I know of. Only no memories of Nick, who I miss a lot.

4. Differences. There's been several differences that I've noticed here from music (different singers/songs), tv shows, movies etc. A big one that I was surprised to see was Back to the Future movies. The home timeline had Eric Stoltz. On Timeline B he's portrayed as not a nice guy, where on the home timeline he was awesome. Kind of like how America loves Wally from Leave it to Beaver. Headlines are different, so are some words (which also changed tv shows & movies), & pictures.

I remember my 8th grade graduation. The entire class took pictures of themselves with their family. My mom went on for days in excitement about how she got a great deal on a dress on Ebay in her favorite color to wear, Salmon (like sunset color) (side note: I also remember her painting the kitchen cabinets that color).
Here the dress is Orange, not Salmon. Plus my dad didn't have a mustache at all when I was growing up. Here he's wearing one.

From what I can gather it's like one night in about 2008 we went to bed in our timeline, & woke up here on this timeline.

I'm regaularly asking myself questions like does the timeline still exist? Are heated topics that we see in the headlines going on there there like global warming? Racism like in MO/MD? Nick? Is the planet as a whole healthier than here? Did the Depression that started in 2009 happen? Did I basically switch places somehow with my version of here? How is he doing there? Is the time/season the same as there? How am I doing there? Am I forgetting about other people? Will I ever wake up & find myself back on the home timeline? Etc.

Nick had this particular presence/energy about him (he really was a great guy). I know this sounds weird but at the time I was in love with him. I can still feel his presence/energy, & his heart beating which I could feel when we used to sleep with each other.

This is why I think that we're on a different timeline, instead of an altered timeline. Plus if we were on an altered timeline, why would we remember the changes?

Hope yal have a great day.
