Yeah, Jocelyn Wildestein (not her real name, either) has had ongoing, hideous plastic surgeries for the better part of 20 years, she says in an effort to look more like her cat.

Uh huh.

Another classic example of cosmetic surgery addiction is that of good old Mickey Rourke. This guy had it all in the 1980s, with moviestar looks and "A" films like 9-1/2 Weeks and Johnny Handsome and many other top boxoffice draws...

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/f3bf46bbaacf.jpg[/atsimg]

That's him on the far left in the 1980s, before he lost his mind and decided he was too "boyish" looking. So Mickey subjected himself to some of the most horrendous and mutilating plastic surgery to craft a more "he-man" look... He had chin and cheek and forehead implants, excruciating face-lifts, grossly engineered lip implants, and went on a regimen of extensive liposuction until he was down to almost ZERO body fat — which will kill your ass. He started passing out in public.

Of course, his career took a nose-dive, nobody wanted him anymore, except for one or two forgettable, low-down B movies made by his sympathetic buddies. I think it was at that point that he started trying to reverse the hideous damage to his face through more cosmetic surgery, but it was too late. He was uglier than Quasimodo (center pic).

Interestingly, it was his heavy prosthetic makeup as "Marvin" in the movie Sin City that got his career back on track (photo on right). Damn. Can you believe that the ripped-to-shreds character of "Marvin" was better looking than Mickey himself?

"Marvin" was still a fabulous role for Rourke that allowed him to act out his drug-addled "he-man" obsession with an amazingly compassionate side that nobody expected. The guy is an A-list actor, but his once-handsome looks are ancient history.

A doctor told me that that is a mental condition that is similar to bulimia and anorexia.
Body builders and weight lifters long distance runners all do it because they are unhappy with the way their body looks.
It has nothing to do with being healthy.
Anything done to the extreme.

G'day Oneolddude

Whilst there are many positive things that can result from the activities you mention.....

I agree an obsessive compulsive issue is is often "very close by".

Kind regards

Good question, ... however I don't see bodybuilding as being artifical. Unless they use steroids, which is done by almost every single top bodybuilder.
Even then, they bust their azzes day in and day out, ...... however even they are susceptable to using plastic surgery to increase their size.
I have hears reports of them injecting silicone into their calves and biceps as well as other areas.

G'day IntastellaBurst

It gets much better than that!

Have a look at this:

www.bodyimplants.com...

This site advertises:

- Butt implants

- Calf implants

- Pec implants

- Bicep implants

- Tricep implants

- Breast implants

- Hip implants

- Deltoid implants

- Liposuction

- Tummy tucks

- Facelifts

- Nose surgery

- Eyelid surgery

- Ear surgery

I never knew that his appearance was due to plastic surgery. I always though it was because he chose to be a "hood" in his personal life. However, yeah, if what you are saying is ture, that is a classic case of what obsession over appearance will do to you.

What really gets me about these masochistic facial reconstructions is that they are only a mask, even the perfect ones.

What's the purpose? To attract more of the opposite sex for mating? Don't you think these plastic people's offspring are going to be pissed off when they realize that they have failed to inherit their mom's or dad's "good looks"?

"GOD DAMMIT! Mom, why didn't you tell us your real tits hung down to your knees??"

But it's not just the ladies who feel they have to lie about their real genetic attributes. Take a look at Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist...

The guy had cosmetic surgery that went really bad, now he looks like a lab experiment.

Yeah, Mickey Rourke was obsessed with looking and living like a real he-man, so he hung out at boxing matches, got in the ring himself, but he had been doing that since before he became a moviestar. He wanted to be a tough guy, but people kept telling him he had such a baby face — which pushed him over the line eventually, and he had a whole series of facial and body makeovers. It was tragic.

Personally, I think our collective obsession with physical appearance and science-enhanced physical attributes is nothing less than a continuation of the "Master Race" myth of the Third Reich.

It's all about lies, deceptions, and propagating this myth that bodily mutilation somehow makes you a better person than you really are. I see all these artificial people on "reality TV," with their fake tits and fake faces and steroid-enhanced muscles, yet they have the worst personalities imaginable — that's something they can never change for a fistful of dollars.

I know plenty of women, on the other hand, who are so beautiful on the inside that their external appearance makes no difference whatsoever. They just shine so brightly, they attract people to them through sheer magnetism. And that's what I like — genuine people, not the walking masses of scar tissue concealing black hearts.

What are your thoughts and opinions on this ?? also if you have any other examples of extreme, or plastic surgery gone wrong PLEASE post.

I want you to meet Doctor "Pene"

Several of these patients presented/displayed their complaints before the "Patientklagenævnet", the institution that arbitrates the complaints of the patients of the Danish health, and who finally gave the reason them in their complaints.

Between these patients is a woman of 55 years, Birgit Woer to which left invalid in the 2003. The surgeon retired as much fat to her of her rumps that nowadays she has to seat in a cushion because but she would lean directly on her bones. The "Legal Council of Doctors of Denmark", that regulates the performances of its collegiate, only has given a strong reprimand him but also he has demanded to him that "in the future is more careful". In the "Rigshospitalet" (Hospital of the Kingdom) of Copenhagen, their medical colleagues have baptized like the "syndrome of Jørn Ege" to the deformities that have produced in the masculine genitals of some of their patients.

Alias "Jorn Ege Siana". A very well known controversial plastic surgeon.
Also he's been carrying out his doubtful experiments in Germany, Spain and other locations.

Of course, any surgical operation can go wrong. But in this case, it's rather machinery work conducted with bad equipment on human bodies.
by a person who has nothing but arrogance left for his former patients.

No, i'm not one of his patients, but i did meet him once. He sure seemed very professional and charismatic.

So combine a charlatan with a group of, oblisley, as other have posted good examples of, unhappy, misguided and forever and after happiness seeking people, from all walks of life, all you'll ever get is misery.

He's biography "At Any Costs", you will not even find in Netto supermarket. They refused to promote his "work"

On the other hand.
9 Tips in Life that Lead to Happiness
Does not include plastic surgery.

This race for perfect look, is out of control. Still i can't condeem people who focus on the look only. More i feel sorry for them... It's not easy to put you're self in other peoples shoes...

Everything in moderation is okay by me. I've got my ears fixed, so who am i to jugde ? Extremes as the examples posted in pics and videos here. No way !

If i ever ended up in a desert island with some guy, i would very quikly feel bored by a pretty face. The inner personality would be the important thing only...

I think in many instances especially those given in this thread so far are related to psychological problems. Having said that I can understand a few small surgeries if necessary.

Now the freaks shown in the video on page one and the guy injecting his penis are just certainly no different than someone with bulimia or anorexia. I would say some health nuts are in the same boat, always trying to be better in some way. Not there is anything wrong with looking to make one’s self better but you cannot live life with that standard only.

I can understand someone getting some fat and skin removed if they can maintain a healthy diet after. It would be terrible for them to carry my body weight (130 lbs.) around in skin. True they should never have gotten that way to begin with but it does happen. I can see someone getting deformities fixed if they feel it is a true hindrance.

For the most part all of those in the video on page one looked better before their surgeries.

Going back to the guy who injected silicone into his manhood. There is something seriously wrong with that. He calls the thing “the blob”. Really if you need to call your stuff “the blob” there is something wrong with it, really wrong with it. After seeing it, yes there is something wrong with it. It looks like a tumor.

Wow, Bruce Jenner has not aged gracefully. .... in alot of cases, i think they would have looked alot better if they aged naturaly....... I mean, look at Paul Newman, he prolly could of snagged any lady no matter what his age.

One of my favorite freak shows is Carrot Top. If I saw him walking down the street on an off day I would probably think he was a female bodybuilder recovering from a car accident.

I think its sure going to be boring when everyone looks exactly the same. Lets face it, these days message after message gets shoved in your face about products you need to look better. You can look like a Victorias Secret model, but if your sitting at home and day by day TV is telling you that your ugly and you need that cream or that serum, soon enough, your going to think you need that cream.

I think if you really want plastic surgery, and you really feel like the shape of your breasts being changed is worth the small risk of dying during the surgery, you go and do that. To each its own.

Im not going to say I dont use some products for my face or I dont buy a special cream here and there. But before you do it, you really have to take a step back, and you have to ask yourself....

Am I covering this flaw up because I dont like it, or am I covering it up because someone told me I shouldnt like it.

And think about this also when you feel like you can achieve that "flawless" look. Even the girls who were pretty enough and fit enough to make it to the cover of that major mens magazine, wasnt good enough to have her photo on there without it being airbrushed and retouched.

I agree jess, ... it seems as mans quest for flawless beauty is blatantly over reaching its grasp.

photo shopping and airbrushing are now common industry techniques, ... why can't we just appreciate people for themselves ??

a person is as much their flaws as they are their attributes.

I'd put you on the cover of a magazine
raaawwwrrrr Jess, .. rawr !!

I think that while cosmetic and plastic surgery are becomming widely available, its going to become an extremely competetive business.
Obviously this means that prices are going to get cheaper and cheaper, resulting in supermarkets and places like that offering cosmetic surgery.

The whole idea of changing your body through surgery is going to become more excepted in society which can only be bad.

Little girls are cramming their heads with ideas on how you "Should" look. And this comes from all kinds of sources such as; Magazines, T.V, Internet, Shops ... and pretty much everywhere.

Some women i know look quite pretty without make-up but then cover themselves with it because they are insecure and end up looking worse then when they started.

It all baffels me as i would never even think to have cosmetic or plastic surgery unless it was for something like a scar or wart/mole removal or something.

I remember a story here in calfironia, ....

about a quack doctor who claimed to be a plastic surgeon from South America, he would work on women from their homes, ... often using old or dirty instruments.

he almost killed one woman, when he cut too much skin from her arms, ... that the staples would not hold, and the woman almost bled to death.

he successfuly completed a couple of full on sex change operations, turning men into women, although there was one or two who were completely satisfied..... eventualy his work on one woman led to her death, .... apparently when he created her new " vagina", he had cut into her intestines, .... so this black vile liquid was constantly leaking from her open wound, .... she lived in pain for days before finally collapsing and dying.

I'm not too sure whatever happened to the doctor, I beleive he was charged in her murder, and operating without a license.

my point is, when the need for plastic surgery outweighs the risk in getting it, .... up to giving ones own life.

something is not right in this culture, and its only getting worse.

It has nothing to reflect on humanity...these are only a handful of people compared to the rest of us. It's not like their children will be destined to have big lips or operations or botox and that it will spread to the rest of their generations.

I can't believe Mickey rourke, so good looking in the first picture :shk:

I think most people who get surgery don't seem to actually need it in the first place! such a shame to see someone do that to themselve's. I understand why they do it, and if I had the money I would be very tempted myself to try and get something done to my face and other parts, i'd just be so damn scared of going overboard with it!

I think we do go ott these days, but everybody just seems to be trying to keep up with each other, so much pressure, can't blame them.
