I don't think we can really tell someone if a god does or does not exist.

I think we can absolutely say "We don't know if any god exists".

If we starting telling people how to think and believe in a god or not believe in a god is that really any different than telling someone what to think and believe in regards to sexual orientation?

Gay Pride parades are a waste of time and money. The behaviour displayed at these events furthers the divide between those who accept homosexuals and those who don't. They actually do more harm than good.

Parades are really Protests in disguise. Sure, they give temporary satisfaction to those who take part, but they inconvenience people around them and fail to effect any real change in the long-term.

I agree 100% If they break the law, they should be punished.

Whether they are actually evil or the march itself is evil is a matter of opinion.

Since gay marches in Russia are illegal anyway, this mans opinion is of non effect and doesn't amount to a hill of beans.

If the marchers break the law of Russia, they have a right to be punished just like the rest of the lawbreakers.

When did Moscow elect a fundamentalist Christian as Mayor? That should have made headlines world wide.

With the statements you made at the beginning of this thread, you spoke for all communities that have pride parades. You have still provided zero evidence that says any kind of large number feel this way.

from your article on ynetnews.com..that is first off, an opinion piece.second, it is saying 15 years is enough. If that is your belief, ok.But will you be having these same opinions in March, for St. Patricks day?

and your "source" from conservapedia: "Gay pride' is a liberal, buzz-word, an oxymoron actually, asserting that Homosexuality is something to be proud of... very offensive. And shows me your how you will treat any response later on.

But this article states violence drunkenness lewd acts...I stated it was my experiences that this was not the norm...even to the extent of never hearing about it from people that went. I am fully willing to believe that this happens, as is the case WITH ANY large gathering of drunk folk. Will you have this same stance in...lets say March, for St. Patrick's day...the only day of the year you can be hysterically drunk in public and everyone is ok with it.

The comparison to St Patrick's Day is very valid in my view.

I prepare for St Patricks day in ways that would make me seem crazy. Days of planning. To go out and get drunk on the sidewalk. Silly I know, but I know gay people that do the same thing.

But in the end I get if you don't agree with that..me and my friends could just be a little insane about it.


As to your other point about the shop keepers not being necessarily supportive...I get that too, but here's the thing. It gives them the chance to see a group of people for who they are, not for what their stereotype is. That's not the case for every shop keep, don't get me wrong. But If one person changes their views, it is a success.

But again, I understand if you don't agree with that.

Russia actually has the highest percentage of Christians of any nation on Earth. The government has actually invested over $100 million of tax payers money in the construction of Churches.
