This has to be 100% genuine???

See this all the time. Im near a flight path for a UK Air port. When a plane is coming into land it has really bright landing lights. Looking at the zoomed part of the video, you can even see the flashing flights on the wing tips. At first look, when you see a plane coming right at you with landing lights, it looks like a giant ball of immense light, which seems to sit stationary in the sky (Because its coming right at you) ....then it turns , and you realise its plane....

...its a plane people.

From 2:34 into the video you can clearly see the strobe lights on the wings blinking. And as others has already mentioned you can see the shape around 2:50 that its a plane. But its really cool footage anyway

In the daylight pic you can see the red and green port and starboard navigation lights. You can also easily make out the white masthead lights and the yellow flashing beacon. All of the lights are located on the aircraft in the correct places that would indicate its a terrestrial aircraft.

It doesn't fly in a manner that would indicate it was anything other than a terrestrial aircraft. Just becase you say they were no planes in that area means nothing. Could have been military transport, private jet, etc....

Very interesting footage... it's definitely a UFO.. doesn't mean its extra-terrestrial though...

Yes the wonder of digital zoooooooooooooooom some cameras now have up to 2000x digital zoom which is a joke.
The shape you end up with can vary from camera to camera depending on lens construction and zoom setting taken with another camera it could have looked like a square ,oval or diamond.
If you have a digital camera with a digital zoom try it for yourself.

If you people can't tell this is a jet with landing lights right away... you need to remove yourself from the UFO section of this forum until you have enough identification skills. Only amateur sky watchers would mistake this for anything but a jet.

I can reproduce this video in my backyard filming jets from LAX.

Getting a little off topic.. - I agree, but for the record:

There are TWO quite different effects often encountered here.

1. Bokeh.
Bokeh is the characteristic shape of out-of-focus areas of an image, in particular, bright highlights like stars, aircraft lights, streetlamps. Bokeh varies dramatically from lens to lens, and also will vary depending on the zoom setting and the aperture. You can often see the aperture shape when you see out of focus areas - it is frequently round, tria/penta/hexa/octa/nona-gonal, or square/diamond shaped. As a lens goes out of focus, it quickly loses the ability to properly represent the object's shape. Sadly, most autofocus (AF) lenses (ie most consumer cameras, both still and video) are very bad at focusing on point light sources. So bokeh effects are almost inevitable. It is a very sure sign of an amateur photographer if you can see the AF racking back and forth - pro's use manual focus for this type of work. And they know what their lens' bokeh looks like, so they don't stupidly confuse it for the real shape of the object.

2. Digital zoom..
Put simply, digital zoom is USELESS. Once you go beyond the optical zoom limit of the lens, the camera's software interpolates (GUESSES) intervening pixels and fills them in with FALSE data. It is just as terminally stupid as magnifying digital images beyond 100% view. All you get to see are GUESSED pixels. If you use different software, you will see different guesses, and none of them are any more useful than others.

If the camera/lens hasn't resolved the shape at 100% view, THEN IT WAS NOT CAPABLE OF RESOLVING IT. End of story.

When you combine these two problems with amateurs who haven't got a clue about lenses, photography, digital imaging, tripods, etc - then you can see where the hundreds of time-wasting videos on Youtube come from.


Then add people who deliberately edit videos so as to mislead - and we haven't even started on lens flare....

To me - definitely looks like a UFO (should say ET)
perhaps pleadian, they usually have the saucer shaped crafts with golden red lights eminating from them when you see them from a distance.

But who knows

i went down to the beach at the end of portage road in titarangi auckland nz on the 26/8/08 and filmed something strange in the sky

He has done this after I pointed him in the direction of this thread, so we're now dealing with someone who wishes to ignore all the evidence provided (the longer footage is not enough it seems because has uploaded and owns this longer video).

He has provided us with a street name this time though, but it doesn't matter because I already calculated the filming location as seen in the link I posted above.

Not being hostile you guys make claims but what you are saying now because idiots on the internet have metioned Pleadian YOU mention it as if its a fact if the info is out there POST the evidence or a link to it lets see the stunning evidence that has convinced you that this race does indeed exist doubt it will happen.

I'm not convinced, and I did not post as if I were convinced it was the truth.
None of us know if they exist for real, no matter how much evidence you have, everything can be debunked in some way.
I could very well be mistaken and I am open to that possibility.
Again, I would not like to start posting off topic stuff on this thread, so again I will ask you to do your own research if this subject intrests you.
There isnt any clear cut evidence out there, but there is a founded speculations, which I personally like to believe is true... does that make me insane or naaive? perhaps..
But I keep an open mind for all possibilities.
