Now I'm not going to go so far and say Zombies do not exist, hell you never know right? And I am aware of Haiti Zombie tales, but no. This was just a tragic earthquake. If you feel the need to check it out I'm sure there are some groups looking for volunteers to help these poor people.

Or failing that, you can send in a donation www.sos-childrensvillages.org

I think it isnt. But im not saying its not possible. Its has the signs of one.

Get off that fence!

You think it is!......or you think it isn't!

by saying that you think it's not impossible , you are inferring that you think that zombies may have torn Haiti apart!

Now if you think it may be a possibility that zombies caused this devastation, then please answer this one question..........how did the zombies tear down all the buildings, including the Haitian presidential palace?

Im not inferring it happened. Im simpily suggesting a theory, its your choice to believe it or not. And I honestly cant answer that. But the houses could of fell from a kick to the wall, they were cheaply built. And stop saying this is a terrible thing to suggest! read my original post, i said it was bad to suggest this already.

People have the internet in Haiti don't they ?

Yep they do and as a matter of fact its the main way they are in contact with the outside world at the moment.

With the phone's being down mostly.

I don't see anything on the internet about zombie's in Haiti "apart from this worthless thread" so i think you can put that theory to bed.

I think we can safeley rule zombie involvement totally out.

Take care.

Lee

Good luck knocking a Presidential palace down with a kick to the wall mate

found this:

www.washingtonpost.com...

The other day up in Cap Haitien, a town with a disturbing number of one-legged beggars (and what happened to them?), a young man named Vincent looked over the looted ruins of the once-dreaded police station and explained that the only thing wrong with the Americans shooting the malevolent officers there a few weeks ago was that now the wrong person might bring them back as zombies.

some haitians believe it to be possible

Well my belief in zombies was non existent until I started reading this thread, and i've come to the conclusion I may actually be relying to one!

The buildings didn't fall down because someone kicked a wall, they fell down because of the earthquake.

As to why they were "cheaply built", read this and you might learn something.

LOL i wanna share something with you guys that i dreamt about.

Im not gonna lie, i had a dream of becoming a zombie. When I got infected, i was still in a state of consciousness. I was aware of what is going on. Then all of a sudden a sharp intense pain went throughout my body like an ache but much much worst. Then the zombie fluid that went into me caused an allergic reaction inside of me and i can feel very tense. Especially around my throat. When I tried to talk all came out was a wheezing wet screech like an animal snarling in a way. Every time i took a step or stood still i was in incredible pain. I then saw someone and ran to him for help. When i ran i sprinted and it caused my pain to go away, like the adrenaline is numbing it. I tried to cry for help but it all came out as a growl. I grabbed him and he was shoving me off. He then tried to attack me, and i was confused wondering why is he attacking me, and i attacked back. Throwing him onto the ground, and his nose started bleeding. When the blood spilled out, i smelt it, and it smelt addictive and sweet. I tasted the blood and it got me into a very lustful state, like when ur horny around a sexy girl. My instinct took over and I killed him by biting his throat and letting the blood run down my mouth. When I drank the blood, i felt the feeling of being a human again for a second, then it went away and i was in a state of addiction. The pain came back again incredibly and i started running to ease the pain. I smelt the human and they smelt sweet, and i smelt the zombie and it smelt very rancid like you just want to stay away from them.

What freaked me out about this dream, is the fact that i was still conscious, i was aware of what i was doing. But given the situation, the state of panic, and your instinct, i was convinced that zombies are still human and not monsters, just gone deranged. Throughout my dream, i tried to resist the urge of becoming infected, little did i realize that i was acting purely on my instinct, and in fear and confusion, causes certain events to be.

LOL thats my dream, very twisted no? But do u think that sounds plausible, if zombies does exist?

actually if the US armed forces and especially the CIA have access to the puffer fish toxin they can use this to create a contra/zombie army to take over Haiti in the name of American interests. From there its just a hop, skip and a jump to Cuba where they could overthrow Raul Castro.
And with zombies you have plausible deniability

i havent mentioned this to many people as im sure it was really nothing but i found it very interesting

during day 1(the 1st 24 hours after the quake) cnn attempted to conduct many interviews by phone or any other means with people and reporters in the haiti area

many of these interviews were cut short

the interesting part about that is that many of them were cut short while talking about things that were currently taking place regarding people in haiti

during one phone interview (i dont remember exact quotes) one man in the streets of haiti was talking about how bad things are there "and on top of all of that, people are now on the streets mutat" and the person was cut off like the editor cut the person off

it fully seemed like the man was trying to say people were mutating, perhaps there was another word he was attempting to say as he was cut off, but over the air, it sure sounded like he was saying people were mutating

i hope that is not the case, but i do find it interesting that people in the mainstream were so fast to jump on the voodoo story and black magic side of things in haiti

i also found it interesting that so many military is being sent, and at one point many civilian flights were halted with only military and aid flights being allowed in

even watching anderson cooper at certain points it seemed he was cut off while trying to describe something about the people there, and it was clear he looked very distressed

obvious he is in a horrible situation, but he has seen many horrible things as a reporter, the way he appeared at some points seemed very disturbed comparable to what he has seen in the past

I'm watching a live feed from there on TV right now.

The translator for the news crew has just pulled an 18 month old child from the rubble arter 64 hours of being buried.

There are plenty of people running around, but nothing resembling zombies.

What they are saying is very few of the locals are even bothering to try and help anyone trapped in the rubble, and he is visible distressed by this fact, even to the point of being dumbfounded at their lack of willingness to help.

what would our imaginations be like if film making never happened? I doubt zombies would even be a thought.

after posting i read the rest of the thread

i agree the zombie idea may be a bit out there, but there is much we dont know, there is much happening at this moment in history

haiti has a long history of voodoo, zombies, black magic etc

even a very public religious representative has brought up the devil pacts that were made in history

there have been actual studies regarding how their "zombie" concoction is made and used, and sure theres a lot of farce behind it, but with it being such an old practice/belief, who are we to say there is nothing behind the beliefs

we are entering a period in time where poles are shifting, mayan predictions are intertwining with scientific evidence and many things are happening that we cant explain

its one thing to live life in a composed calm state, its another to be closed minded and say that the idea of zombies in haiti is absolutely impossible, nothing on this earth is impossible

we being here is proof of that, and the op brings up many points that could attribute to the theory of zombies

possibly it could simply be nothing more then a metaphor for the actions of the people in the incredibly hard times they are facing, or we could quite possibly just be entering a new phase in humanity, no one truly knows

but what we do know, is close mindedness does not contribute to the human race in any way and when entering a time period with events that we are unfamiliar with, we need to be as open minded as possible

the idea of zombies pre-dates all types of film making, the idea of zombies predates even shakespeare

film making has been created by our imagination, not the other way around

that whole situation you explain could be the basis of the zombie metaphor, people running around in agony while others are trapped and suffering, death encompasses the island

aside from that just to make a side comment, im almost appalled at the extant of the coverage by some of the media

we always talk about politicians kissing babies, well ive seen nothing but politicians in this coverage, i mean watching cnn ive literally seen that dr sanjay gupta (sp?) walk right past people who need his help, in order to get to a baby with a cut on her head, so he can bandage her up for the camera and literally kiss the baby after attending to the head wound

dont get me wrong, im glad people are helping, but the way our media seems to be helping is just by exploiting certain situation, to such an extant that they are missing coverage of a potentially larger picture in order to get ratings by showing some dr patching up a baby

There was an earthquake in Haiti, no doubts about it.

There are many earthquake monitoring stations all over the world, private and government run.
Most if not all would have picked up the Haiti quake and shared data to pinpoint it 's exact location.

So your theory already falls short without even mentioning zombies.
