Hi Rewy,
You are right in saying that there are no pics of the 'plane actually hitting the Pentagon, but of the two cameras at the control point the one nearer to the impact does briefly show the nose of an aircraft. Going by that you would have to say that it was an aircraft. The second camera does not seem to have picked it up however, all you see is the white smoke, (i'm presuming it is from a damaged engine) but if that is the case, where did the damage come from, the lightpoles or hitting the ground or both or being overstressed, it's open forum there.

I cant believe people are debating on whether or not more tapes exist! Of course there are more tapes, just assuming that the Pentagon didn't have any other recording(ridiculous), the FBI confiscated every civilian security tape that 'might have something on it. I totally agree with the OP, just give us the tapes, why not? Do people really think that showing the tape will somehow weaken our country more than the f'ed up feeling it gives people who are critical thinkers; feeling that we are nothing more than spectators in other peoples messed up show?

A passenger jet did fly into the Pentagon. Before we even knew what had gone down in NYC my friends sister called from her job across 395 at Pentagon City and told us she had watched a jet fly into the pentagon. It happened people. Somethings are as they seem, not everything is an evil government conspiracy. If there's any conspiracy at all about 9/11, its probably related to Flight 93 and whether the passengers are heroes for taking the plane down themselves, or were took down before they took others on the ground with them to the afterlife.

"It was absolutely a plane, and I'll tell you why," says Kilsheimer, CEO of KCE Structural Engineers PC, Washington, D.C. "I saw the marks of the plane wing on the face of the building. I picked up parts of the plane with the airline markings on them. I held in my hand the tail section of the plane, and I found the black box." Kilsheimer's eyewitness account is backed up by photos of plane wreckage inside and outside the building. Kilsheimer adds: "I held parts of uniforms from crew members in my hands, including body parts. Okay?"

A quick google search didn't come up with much about Allyn Kilsheimer as far as trying to discredit him but pilotsfor911truth.org says that two other black boxes had been found by two firefighters reportedly, so there shouldn't have been a third box which he said to have found.

I'm sure they have tapes. I can recall afew months after the hit on the towers, There was a story of video footage taken by a man at a gas station. I think it had something to do with the angle the footage was taken because not long after the attacks a Governemnt agency confiscated the tape. I looked up the news article again but was unable to locate it.

Popular Mechanics was a straw mans attempt to convince the masses that the 'conspiracy theorists' are crazy. It is a Hearst owned publication with a controversial background. You will have to look into it yourself but let's just say there was some strange firings and hirings.....

The guy Kilsheimer says he held body parts and crew uniforms that miraculously survived the fireball that apparently vaporized 100 tonnes of steel and titanium alloy. There was no giant tail stabiliser, no engine, no seats, no wing sections, no fuselage.

Government forensics teams claim to have identified 180+ bodies. This is just on 'paper'. No witnesses saw any bodies. There was some rather clean looking plane like parts that were taken away by men in black from the still immaculate lawn. Soooooo many things don't add up.

And if you honestly believe your statement then that would explain your disconnect from the reality of that day. The plane didnt vaporize, sure some of it did melt. However, the rest of it became pieces of what used to be a fuselage, wings, engines etc....

I also could point you to the words of rescue specialists who found what was left of Flight 77 passengers, still strapped into what was left of their airline seats.....but, pretty sure it wouldnt do any good.

Since most everyday people accept that a plane hit the pentagon (only those on conspiracy websites think differently) there's no need to release footage of it.

And seeing as how close the cameras would've been to capture it happening, I'd imagine it would be extremely grisly and quite horrific to see.

Do you really want to watch people die a horrible death just to quench your belief in a cover up?

Jesus can you even read properly? I never said I wanted to see people to die. All I said it would be horrific to watch, and that the OP wants to see it purely for conspirital reasons.

My avatar is irrelevant, its an iconic picture, and it certainly doesn't mean I like watching people die.

I would have thought that if it was an inside job then the safest thing to do to prevent any video footage ever being released would be to disable all the Pentagon's CCTV cameras around that time and then all they'd have to worry about is confiscating the recordings from nearby buildings.

I don't think we'll ever see any real footage because there isn't any left.

Oh you mean like they did on the world trade center when all the security cams "malfunctioned" and all security doors to the building were set to public access.

From some friends I know personally who work at the Pentagon they all agree that "an airplane" did not strike the building. They have also made statements on this in the past and were told in no uncertain terms "to can it" but there are many people who were there or in the area that day that have said the same thing. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to look at the impact area to see that it was not an aircraft but some type of ordinance. There is simply no way that an airliner went through all of that reinforced concrete & steel to have popped out of the other side. Aircraft debris at the scene do not even match the color scheme of an AA plane. And not too mention that the "aircraft" left no debris of any discernible size or damage to the ground leaves one to ask more questions than not. In addition, I know two private pilots who are retired from Pan Am and they both say that in order to fly an aircraft the size of the one that supposedly flew into the Pentagon at such a leveled out course would have required the skills of someone who has flown for many years as it is nearly impossible to keep the aircraft (of that size) steady during high speed/low altitude flight that close to the ground. No, it does not add up at all!
