I knew it! I was going to post, I bet they were all Hispanics...maybe not ALL but that is close enough!

I just want to say something, when i was younger say like 17-18 i used to live in one of the rough neighborhoods of san diego, CA and this is more common than you guys might think(even more now), most girls just do it because its the "cool" thing to do or because everyone else is doing it, you know what i mean? teens are pretty stupid like that and im not saying all of them but A LOT of them do pretty stupid things to look "cool" or fit in or because they think its a cool thing to hangout with grown gang members...and yes this means either doing hard drugs and pass out drunk or having sex with a group of males in front of everyone, you see this a lot on high school house parties.

Thats why i put that, because from what i read this girl hanged out with the wrong crowd and that night they invited her to drink (she agreed) and then things got out of control and this is what happens when you get with the wrong crowd...see what im trying to say?

I'm disgusted that you've asked if this poor 15 year old girl may have been a willing participant? wtf? First of all she's only 15 and cannot consent anyway. Maybe she "wanted" it?

No she did NOT want a "gang bang".

I'd post the article again but I think you should learn to click the link on page1 and read it for yourself. Pay close attention to the part where it mentions how she was admitted to hospital in a critical condition, how she was robbed and how witnesses AND suspects testified that it was rape.

Honestly the immediate assumption that maybe a rape victim wanted it is the main reason why only 10% of rapes get reported. Even when the rape involves brutality poeple still ask if she's to blame. Sick minds.

no im not buying it, it was an anthroplogical book about gangs in Harlem. they were mostly hisbanic and it had several stories of rape and bullying in school.

On what do you base this on?

Rape is an act of violence, it is not sexual. Sex is the tool by which to deliver the violence.

There is absolutely nothing in this story that would lead anyone to believe the internet was in any way onvolved. That's a huge stretch, and I would go one step further to say I don't think they have access outside of school. The financial state of the neighborhood speaks volumes.

These kids probably spend a majority of their time in the streets. If they learned this anywhere, it was from adults they spend their time around.

Why stop at the internet? Lets drag television and commercialism into this as well, Magazines, hey, even books!

That is called masochism and it's consentual. People who cannot tell the difference between whips n chains and a real people being sexually brutalised have issues. If you are watching movies depicting real sexual assault and not reporting it you are breaking the law. edit. Imo people who seek out rape and smut movies already have a taste for rape and murder. It does not give it to them.

no, normal porn movies can seem violent but consensual at the same time. but not all kids will understand the consensual part. or they didnt realize that not all women like gang sex.

So what in this article or any of the by now thousands of others out there would lead you to believe it was anything other than rape? Seriously point out any article that points out she might have wanted it, even a line in an article would be nice.

Without such evidence to point to that you are standing on shaky ground. It is no wonder that so many rapes go unreported with statements as ignorant as that. I am not even a female and I am offended that you would point to the girl possibly wanting this. That is pretty sick to think really. Not that there may not be some out there that would want such a thing if you read this article or any of the others it all points to her being raped unwillingly.

It's not? You are defending the mentality of pack rapists so I'm giving said advice just in case people might actually take what you say seriously. The problem is the way kids are raised and their attitude towards females and weaker people in general. The problem is a culture that sees bullying and school yard (juvenile) violence as just a part of childhood and no big deal. They just took that violence one step further.

It has nothing to do with porn.. it's the "kids will be kids" and parents and peers actually encouraging their kids to be bullies.

From what I understand is most of these perps were of other races black and mexican. If it were a group of white people that did this they'd all be up in arms. I don't hate other races but I do hold contempt for certain ones. I've gone to school where whites were the minority and I've gone to school where whites weren't the minoirty. I've seen the dynamic play out. I am 100% sure this girl was raped because she was white. The poor minoritys seem to blame all there problems on white people. Maybe it's time they stand up and take resposibility for thier own sitution instead of blaming whites. But in soceity we almost incourage this type of stuff by giving them a free pass becasue our history.
