This isn't about party affiliation to me, this is about those who love and want to serve America, and those who wish to reap the benefits off the blood, sweat, and tears of Americans. Corruption knows no party line, and no smile can be big enough, and no promise can be sweet enough to dull the pain I feel for the US today as a result of what I have witnessed happening to my beloved nation over the 2 decades I have been here.

It has been a long time since I have watched CNN.
Iraq is now in control of who it contracts out for oil production and research. The people of Iraq will now be seeing a far greater return on Iraqi oil than they ever received from Hussein. U.S. troop presence does not guarantee U.S. oil companies will be the contractors who control Iraq oil production. Most likely countries around the world will participate.
When I read about what Hussein's monsterous sons were doing while Saddam was in charge, that alone made the war worthwhile.

so you claim to serve your country and it's people so they can have the right to speak, then you threaten to violently attack them if they do.

I think this whole thread is just made up drama. He starts off saying how he cannot support the military but a few minutes later he is enlisting. I.E. he will be willing to follow orders that he believes are inhuman and illegal. Or is the big plan to infilitrate the Army and change how they operate. If so I hope you enjoy your years in military prison.
It doesn't make sense and his failure to explain his stance except for folowing the constitution, makes me wonder why he even made this thread in the first place except for some weird demand for attention.
careful thats what i was saying in the postings that were removed.

The US military allows immigrants who are Resident Alien Card(Green Card) holders and have filed a notice of intent to become a US citizen. It would take only one year and no fee to apply for citizenship while in the service. If I didn't join the military it would cost me a fee that I can afford(roughly 700 bucks) and MUCH less time. I'm willing to wait the year, as even if I didn't have a green card my 1-94 grants me indefinite stay and employment authorization. With no requirement to apply for a green card and no requirement to apply for citizenship. I'm doing this because I want to, and have had 8 years to think about it.
I think that a lot of this backlash is somewhat due to the fact that people are concerned for me and see the military as a quick death, I see it differently, and I'll never be able to make people understand.

Meh, I'm good on criticism. As you may have noticed I have quite a thick skin. I think in a place full of 17 and 18 year old kids it would be good to have a few "old men" around that have had time to think. I'm used to disciplined training. I've spent my entire life in martial arts. My father was one himself(Being a military man) and that sort of regimentation has always been with me.
I'm not sure what you mean by IF I get in, I know I will, I have all of my legalities and paperwork in order.
Edit to add:
At 25, I never thought the words "Your age might be an issue" would be directed at me
