I don't think he was ever on board.
There is a picture that someone took almost as soon as it hovered above this kid's neighborhood and that balloon looked almost exactly as it did when it hit the ground.
No weight appeared to be present in the basket area which is apparently made of cardboard material.

This kid is probably hiding somewhere, I know I would be.

I would charge the boys father with murder for being so dumb.

Either outcome, I think I'm buying a flight to Colorado just to slap this guy in the face! I mean wtf! If it is a publicity stunt or negligence either way he deserves a good whoopin!

I hope this kid is still alive.

Or negligence and child endangerment if nothing else. Murder, I don't think they could pin that on him unless he physically did it.

Another random thought that occured to me, any thought that this could have been a Suicide? or a Ritualistic killing?..afterall his dad seemed pretty nuts about Extraterrestial life (not the kind of level-headed approach but the "taking it to extremes" type.")

Please tell me you are not bringing politics into this tragedy. Which it is either way.

I bet all three boys were in the gondola playing with the anchor rope
untied. Two jumped out and the little guy was lifted away. Would that
be the father's fault?

No I am not. I was just replying to the guy that did. Like loosing your kid isn't enought punishment. You have some idiots wanting to put him in jail for an unfortunate accident.

Ballooon is 20 feet long and 5 feet high. The police again have said the boy WAS inside. SO I guess they know the 3 boys were up to something they weren't suppose to be doing. THEY are searching a certain area. It shouldn't be long before we know something.

To lift a 50lb kid even just a few feet off the ground the balloon would have to be about 20 feet long and 20 feet high. Based on the calculation that helium has 1gram of lift per liter. 50lbs = about 25000 grams.

One party balloon holds about 14 grams. So as I said before this balloon was too small to carry a person. If the kid was unusually small like 20-30lbs then maybe. I have never heard of a normal healthy 6 year old being just 20-30lbs.

The thing landed but I don't think the boy was in it, so he either jumped or was never inside to begin with. Hopefully we find out soon and hopefully he is just hiding because he is scared of an ass whooping.

Are you guys seeing a bigger image than i am? It doesn't look like anything i can make out, it may even be doctored...it certainly doesn't look like a wooden box though, i'm still hopeful that the balloon couldnt lift the child to those heights....

That balloon would be a magnet for kids to flock around. It should have been secured better so that a child couldn't launch it because of the results we are seeing.

Since they obviously have the location of the falling item from this video,
why the heck didn't the authorities go right to that spot and look? Too
easy???
