If this true then the reason why amatuer astronomers haven't been screaming about it is because it is only visisible in the southern hemisphere and from what I can gather this is coming from almost due south of the Earth and very few have access to these observatories.

A diamond core left over from a star, how awesome would that be if we could have one of those as a moon, i bet if by some miracle Earth were to capture it when it is out at night it would reflect the sun light so well that it would never be dark.

Tbh i dont think the end of the world is near

There has been so many "End of the worlds"

Also if u take the End of the World via bible they are like 10 prophicies to be compleated

Also people in organisations such as governments/politicans/Scientists would of "Dissapeared" (And i mean on a WIDE scale)
Not just 100 or 200 ect

You would of seen a rapid movement in milatery, aid and food organisations from across the world as well as hostile countrys "Uniting"

Also Animals would be going wierd (Especialy Water and Air types) Due to its effect on gravitation (Inbalance with moon/Earth atosphere creating "unusual" tide patterns (Due to it being close it would temporerly act as a moon to the see gravitation wise)

You would probly see a big increse in weapons and shuttles going up in cor-ordination, co-operation and backing with every country that can contribute (Same would happen with companys for the countrys)

Well, I'm not gonna say he's wrong because..Hell anything can happen. But he does sound pretty typical. And by typical I mean wanting people to follow him and believe him and things like that. I didn't think this untill he started saying things like do your "homework". That right there just shows he wants..followers. Insinuating that he's higher educated and metaphorically, our teacher. Annnyway just about everone of these type of people I've heard talks like that. They love to give little hints and then tell us they can't give out anymore information.(lilbalm). They want us to find it on our own. If they truley had something totell us...they'd tell us. If there was something happening, there would be nothing to gain by not telling us. In fact, telling us would actually help everyone. I am glad though, that he had a closer date. Most people say something like 5 or 10 years so that if it doesn't happen, maybe everyone will have forgotten or they can say "Hey, that was 10 years ago!!! I was an idiot!!!!" I am actually half believing this one though. He does have some pretty good evidence. I have heard of some comits coming our way that are supposed to hit us...weird. Anyway nothing we can do about it if it does hit,

Heres an intresting graph from nasa's website that will comfort everyone. Aperantly since 1998 the number of near earth astroids has quadroopled, so since they happen so much, we shouldnt be worried about just one.
Nasa seems unconserned about the increase.

neo.jpl.nasa.gov...

oh yeah, does this graph mean there are just more near earth astroids, or they are just discovering more? I wish nasa would be a little more comforting, or do they already know it will happen sooner or later and not care?

Oh yeah..another thing to add that was funny about something like this. I was watching sci-fi about 2 years ago (sometime in 2002) and it was a re-run. This guy was sitting there in this intense tone saying things like "Uh-uh- in the year 2000, EVERYONE will be DEAD. ASTEROIDS, METEORS, TITLE WAVES, TORNADO'S", absolute destruction. Hardly anybody will survive. May 2000, it'll come."....haha sucker.

LOL You ever seen The Late Great Planet Earth? I watched that again about a year ago and almost died laughing. Was ALL WRONG!!! Was a good movie at the time though.

Well if you read his article carefully, he states WHY no one sees it coming. I found it rather interesting at least.
If this is an old man who is bitter as he states, then it does make some sense, though, personally, I doubt its valid only because hey, I dont wanna die now...LOL

That has got to be the most honest comment I've seen on ATS, LOL!
Awesome!

Ok... how many scientists have already disappeared? I could think of a hundred different ways to cover up an iminent impact. You have a candy bowl (all the scientists) and you don't want your parents (the people) finding out you've been in the candy, so you pull out a couple here one day, and a couple here the next (disappearing scientists)... by the end of the week, there's a significant amount of candy gone. Some was taken by other people (normal deaths), and some were taken by you (disappearances). At the end of the week, everyone knows something isn't right with the candy bowl, but noone can prove anything. (I'm a master at this, lol...).

I don't think there will be an obvious unification of countries with something like this. Again, if one guy really does know this for sure, then the leaders have been coinciding on it for years already.

The animal thing, I can't argue about... but the animals further away from the impeding impact wouldn't show as obvious of signs. Most of the world's population is in the northern hemi, so the reports would probably be coming from Auss, Afrc and SA... through media. Media can be altered, censored, or just not shown, and I really doubt that we would have enough time to get word spread globally from the southern hemi to the rest of the world.

Why would world governments try and save civilians? You wouldn't see weapons and shuttles going to space, you would see all the "Elite" disappearing to their "happy places"... for instance, Cheyenne Mountain would be a freaking zoo on that day. Evil is coward. The governments wouldn't be worried about saving the worker bees... they can breed a bunch more... internet porn, anyone?

-----

Now, about the "hints" and "find it out for yourselves" part... I'm psychic. Alot of people don't believe me when I tell them something about a person, so I just tell them enough to get them interested and let them do the homework for themselves. If I just decided to tell them everything, they will always find a flaw and call it bogus.

Ok, here's an example (hypothetical... this one never happened): Mike (my best friend) and I are sitting in Hardee's (Carl's Jr. everywhere else) and this woman walks in and I "read" her. I tell Mike everything that I got from her... she cheated on her husband, she was ditching work, and she had some bad "jock itch". So, Mike is like "I don't believe you. You can't prove it", so I call up her work and they say she's out sick. I get documented info on it. I call up her husband, and he confirms that she cheated on him, and provides a statement. I go to the hospital to get record of the "jock itch" and find out that she is actually a he. I get the documents and copies of prescriptions for creams.

So, I have all this evidence and I hand it to Mike. He looks through it and starts off with "You can't believe her husband... he was placed under arrest before". Next is the work... "How do you know she isn't just feeling better, or had noone else togo get food for her". Ok, fair enough... "These creams are used for just about anything... and you never said anything about her being a guy... I think you're lying!".

Ok, so I don't give Mike ANY evidence at all. He goes out and collects all the stuff I would have, and says "Wow... you were right! Oh yeah... and she is really a HE! Crazy, eh?".

So... what's more positive? Giving people all the info you can and having everyone find a discrepency in every sentence? Or making people get off their lazy arses and let them go digging for themselves with the hope that they can convince their friends with what THEY found, instead of what was provided?

I'm not saying this guy is legit or not, but I want you peeps to quit calling everyone who won't provide evidence a fake. Also, why the hell would you risk getting yourself "off'ed" right away when you are trying to get a message spread so far? C'mon... if half the ATS members tried to cover up info like they think they can, nothing would be hidden or suppressed!

And don't pick on liblam for this stuff... he has the same idea. Why give a fat person all the food at once? They are just gonna eat it all and expect more. If you ration it out, or make them get it themselves, they are less likely to be lazy and gluttonous, and will begin police themselves (whether they do it on a conscious level or not).

Conspiracy is the ultimate game of chess... I've been playing long enough that I can readily see the reasons behind anything that comes up (explaining it logically to another person is quite another story, though...). Every decision is based off of some kind of logic, whther it is morally flawed, simply ascinign, or just plain evil.

Now (I know you guys will love this one) I guess I'll go read the articles finally, lol!

Guys!

Look at this:

neo.jpl.nasa.gov...

Discovered TODAY, er I should say DISCLOSED by NASA today. This sort of proves at the very least, he is some sort of astronimer or has a contact in NASA.

This asteroid passes between the moon and earth just like he said.

Explain that away.

I dont know. Maybe theyre just not telling us about them for whatever reason.

The part that concerns me, is that something he said a month ago, was today confirmed by NASA!

it is intresting how the march meteor approached from the southern hemisphere though.

The aussie is saying this next asteroid will hit next month just in time for my birthday party. Has anyone found the original posts yet? I looked and came up with nothing.

I remember reading somewhere about a cover up of things happening at the Antarctic. Maybe its something to do with this thing.

The only thread I could come up with was this one ...

Well, I think the Title "Recently Discovered Near-Earth Asteroid Makes Record-breaking Approach to Earth"....

I think that tells us one of two things.....

1. They were not sure if it would hit the earth or not, so they kept it a secret until they were sure. As not to cause panic....

2. They actually have no idea what is out there and hurtling towards Earth and can only make guesstimations of what they think will be what where....

My take on this is simple. Either the man's correct, or he isn't. Either way, in just over a month, we'll know.

Somebody explain this to me:

neo.jpl.nasa.gov...

Nobody said anything about this ^^

No other countries mentioned it. No media coverage. No astronomers from anywhere at all.

This thing was not hidden by the cloud he talks about. This was in plain sight yet no media coverage or even any astronomers went public with it.

This is more important than basically any celestial event in the last hm, few thousand years isnt it? I mean, we just about got creamed by this thing yet nobody reports on it and theres no media coverage.

I think that only backs up his claims that nobody can see the objects hidden by the cloud unless youre looking right at it with a scope that can see through dust.

Opinions?

Well, someone said on here that governments had nothing to gain by not telling us about, or allowing the release of this type of information. I beg to differ. Even if we were to bar any conspiracy, someone in power might easily come to the conclusion that, since we don't have the technology readily available to avert such a disaster, then suppressing the information would be beneficial to everyone, by avoiding riots, mass confusion, and the massive crime wave that would ensue with definitive proof of the end of civilization as we know it. So, then, even assuming that there isn't a high level conspiracy, there is still ample reason to hide this.
