One I don't know a heck of a lot about and have not much to offer, but every so often one notices some little tidbit in the news, or an article that has resonance and is potentially enlightening. The recent 'Mojo' and 'Uncut' magazines have had some interesting interviews/articles.

This thread has announced its purpose of investigating a probable crime given that a number of witnesses found evidence that an impostor has replaced James Paul McCartney. The motivation is to seek Justice and to bring the light of Truth to elucidate a crime. This motivation has not been contested by those here who call fellow ATS members delusional idiots among other 'adjectives'.


The small band of hecklers who totally disrespect the very PURPOSE OF THIS THREAD and in so doing are BEYOND OFF TOPIC and are far less straightforward as to their motivation.


It is very difficult to second guess why people would act in so belligerent a fashion, when all others seek is to examine evidence and consider whether it is valid and worthy of pursuing further, or not. In the process, that we discuss possibilities and examine other similar cases or less similar ones from which we might learn something, is innocent and harmless enough. People are free to agree or disagree, and it would be nice to imagine that this could be done congenially, in the course of a friendly open discussion.


However, what are the motivations of people who join in the discussion to contest the very existence of this discussion? What prompts them to deny our right to examine possibilities? Why mock us for daring to think otherwise? Why jump down our throats because this thread exists? Why bully others who dare to seek justice where there is none to be seen?


It is one thing to disagree, and voice one's objections. Once this has been done, and duly noted, the only purpose of persevering against the existence of a discussion topic is to prevent its subject from being discussed.

When Paul died, there was a hole in the band that had to be fixed. "in the ocean" --- the transatlantic dynamic of the band's popularity? "dovetail joint" --- this is a method of joinery in furniture making that strongly ties one piece of wood to another --- successfully using an impostor in the band would be like joining him in strong enough so it couldn't be broken apart by detection.
