I also notice no one noted the slap in the face to the native Hawaiians that want their government restored, by this non-binding resolution. A movement that Obama once said he supported.

You're right and you bring up a good point. I thought you were going to say that Obama was taking the spotlight away from Hawaii in this resolution but you surprised me! He did support restoring Hawaii's government? I'll have to go try to find that info.

It's a "resolution", its not a law and has absolutely no legal ramifications what so ever.

Show me the REAL "Birth Certificate" and I will go away!

Hear hear ... I agree wholeheartedly and am actually dumbfounded that some will accept this flimsy "ratification" as sufficient to dispel the real question about this whole issue ... THINK for the love of ... um ... er ... truth!!

IMHO he has already shot himself in the foot and been proven to be lying about his place of birth ... nothing can change that anymore. Anything that gets presented now or in the future will be fabricated - else he would have come clean long ago.

Now it's all over the front page of Yahoo again.
The same guy from the state dept in Hawaii said he looked at it.
He was not trusted the first time, why should it be ok now? What a joke.
It's has been in court in many states and been turned down. Why would it not be put into evidence at least once to get this over with?
This just does not make any "Common Sence" what so ever.

"I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen," Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. "I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."

Still, it's good that finally someone is paying attention to the "birthers" - perhaps not the kind they'd like

If it is such a non issue, why the resolution?
A unanimous one at that (with 50 not voting)?

Obama can't show his actual birth certificate. CNN Lou Dobbs says it was destroyed. I believe him. Why BHO can't have Hawaii just make a fake one is beyond me. I believe he was born in Hawaii but his birth certificate definitely had some information on it he didn't want to get out. Maybe his father or mother was someone else. Someone with ties he did not want to get out in to the public.

I hope this puts the "birther" conspiracy to rest...

Only if those who voted for the Resolution actually saw his birth certificate and know for a fact, because of the authentic documentation, that he is a US citizen.

And it appears that they didn't bother to check it out.

It also doesn't change the fact that Obama's hiding his birth certificate.

That's pretty much what I think as well.

Anyone who doubts that Obama is a natural born US citizen should ask one person if he is eligible. That person is Tim Kaine Governor of Virginia.

Why? Has he seen the authentic original birth certificate?

People are so ignorant..... If obama had nothing to hide he wouldn't have signed an executive order regarding his birth certificate and this wouldn't have even been brought before congress. It is just another notch in his belt.

Congress gets involved?

Now I know it's all a lie.
Thanks for solidifying the truth our great ones and reassuring the American people to stay vigilant on this Consitutional matter.

Funny how all of sudden people trust their representitives when it's convenient.

Thank God he was born in Hawaii after all! Now it's acceptable if he forces us to sign up for socialized health care, breaks all of his campaign promises, and hands over dictator-like powers to the Federal Reserve.

I am, if anything, unpredictable.

But I would like to edit my ending question to ask, if the original government of Hawaii was restored, therefore no longer a state in the union, would Obama still remain president?

I guess he could be "grandfathered" in and possibly remain. However it would be a quandary. But for technical reasons, I may be ineligible due to Ohio not being completely adopted into the union...or was that ever fully fixed?

I doubt the resolution was aimed at those who are demanding rule of law be fully and properly applied to the person responsible for enforcing those laws. No new info has been released, nor by the reactions of those seeking this be settled one way or another has the resolution mattered.

More likely this is aimed as a means to insure those in the military who are questioning refusing his orders for this reason stop doing so, as this would technically settle the issue in a court of military law.

In any case this moves the nation one step closer to a decision point, submit to tyranny, or accept a violent civil war. Trying to peacefully change the system from within has become that much harder now.

People won't ever be satisfied. They won't believe it and they'll definitely find something else to complain about Obama.

You know, some people still deny the holocaust.

No matter what is done no matter what is said what is verified. The birther movement will not stop. Obama could build a time machine take each and every birther back to his birth in HAWAII and show them. But they wouldn't believe it.

Its a bunch of right wing nuts with a pathological hatred for Obama. Nothing anyone can do will resolve it. Because the people that believe in this nutty conspiracy just want Obama removed from office.

They don't provide any evidence to back up their beliefs. The pseudo evidence they do conjure up is so weak that its easily found out as the hoaxes and bull dunk it is.

They make things up to bolster their belief, go to the SCOTUS with lawsuits that can't possibly go anywhere. Just to be a nuisance.

From someone who (amazingly enough) stayed neutral: This whole thing smells of horse hockey. What I've seen is evidence that if he doesn't like something, he has it rammed thru the various legislative bodies (with a healthy helping of 'sweeteners')- and this is no different. *I* can go produce, or in my case, send away to NY for my BC. I send them a few bucks, they send me a nice notarized copy. Then, I can get a passport, do all sorts of things. What differentiates me from someone who has vastly more responsibility? Not a thing. That certificate shown on the web everywhere is a complete fake, BTW. Is it what they're calling the 'real' one? I cant find a straight answer, to be perfectly honest. If it's the official one- I am going to suspect the announcement in the newspaper as well. There's something about it my eyes keep telling me is goofy about it.

Just wait. Someone somewhere in DC is going to say something about this resolution being greased up (anything from financial perks to a pizza party)- and it'll still be one side screaming for the other to shut up, those who are convinced he was born in HI, and those who are convinced he's not. And like I said- I have remained neutral. I have pointed out the oddness of that BC online, and I am 100% convinced it's not legit. I stayed away from the real issue of where he may have been born until now.

The man needs to do what is required BY LAW to do- and quit dancing around the issue. I would produce mine... Is he not man enough to do exactly what I'd do?

I agree, its sounds like a lot of hot air to me, blah blah he's not my president, well all of congress agree that he is, blah blah cough splutter you can't trust them etc etc.

Even if he did produce his documents it would only lead to blah blah they are fake blah blah.

He is the president, he was voted in by your democratic system, your representatives agree that everything is legit but still you want to go on and on and on.

If and I mean IF he is not holding office legitimately then its no big shock to me, Bush juniors installment into office was also a bit dubious but shhhhh... we wont go there

It has been proven to death that he was born in Hawaii. There is absolutely NO CREDIBLE EVIDENCE to the contrary. Before the "birthers" start pumping, note the word CREDIBLE.

I'm going to return to Christianity now just so my prayers that you all shut up might be heard.

Tired of this nonsense. Dropping the f out.

Oh? Where's it at? Post the evidence you lay claim to. I'd certainly like to see it? Hope it isn't a White House video of him recalling his childhood in Hawaii sitting on his grandfather's shoulders during the space capsules from apollo 11 came splashing down in the Pacific Ocean in 1969*. Or some obscure little bit of a resolution passed unanimously by a little over half of the house... or maybe even a potentially forged COLB? Perhaps some important Hawaii official giving us her word that his long-form birth certificate is there? Well, definitely not the quotes from his grandmother recalling being there when he was born... in Kenya. Not even the renouncing of his US citizenship in order to have lived in Indonesia from 1967-1971*? Well, So far I'm not convinced. But who am I to question? I mean, I'm just a Right Wing Nut job that still probably denies the Holocaust right? shoot....

edit to add:Really though, it's not going to go anywhere because all of the evidence us "Birthers" have, is really just a lack of evidence from the other side. As we all know he's innocent until proven guilty, therefore its not going to go anywhere unless something big does actually fall out of the closet. In any case, he's proven to be a liar and has clearly shown to be hiding things. His hypocrisy and lies are bad news for a man with such power over the Executive AND Legislative Branches of our Government.

news.yahoo.com...

There you go Credible testimony to the fact that Obama was born in Hawaii.

But the problem is a pathological hatred for Obama and not proof. Because if it was about proof than this matter would have been resolved a long time ago. It's about trying to get a person out of office that birthers don't like.
