I think a lot of RINO's and moderates bailed on the GOP because of Palin in the last election. The Right wing and the Fundies still voted republican.

How'ed that work out for ya?

No need to explain my friend, this smell like advertisement to me, or at least catching out on the chance to start early for the next election year.

I regret voting for Obama the same way I regretted voting for bush in 2004, but this women will never have my vote and neither any of the puppets running in any of the two main parties.

If she is that much of a loser, then all of you have nothing to worry about.

It will be a shoo-in for Emperor Obama in 2012.

I mean, she is stupid. She did say there were 57 states in the union, she did say our constitution was written 20 centuries ago, oh wait.

Sorry, my bad.

That was some community organizer who happened to be a junior state senator.

Just let us have our fun. Let us support Palin. If she won't get the votes, then you folks can be right and laugh all the way to the free government cheese line.
But if we're right.

Look out.

Beware. She MIGHT just lower -gasp- taxes, she MIGHT just -shock- get us off the reliance of foreign oil, she MIGHT just-oh god, i'm gonna barf- lower unemployment.

'Cause right now, Barry ain't doin' jack.

As an unrepentant political junky; my dream for the next presidential race would be Hillary and Palin. I might even start to watch TV again because that would be a spectacle that legends are made of.

I can't say whether I'd vote for a Palin ticket or not, we're a long ways off from the next cycle and much can (and probably will) happen between now and then.
What I do know is that all politicians are about one thing and one thing only, winning votes. Some will achieve this through deceit, some will do this through championing their causes and beliefs, some (most IMO) will mix these two and live with themselves quite comfortably. (no core beliefs, a govern by poll type).
What I will be looking for is someone who espouses my beliefs as near as practicable, comes across as "real" and is not beholden to special interests.
Party affiliation be damned, I'm sick of both. Let Palin show some intellect and front a third party and who knows what will happen.

If we have not learned from past candidates then we are really dumb.

One thing that candidates are good for is looking good in the cameras and lying to the voters.

Promises and promises with not backing at all.

I dare anybody to show me what candidate in the last three decades has done anything for the hard worker tax payer in the nation.

You all need to understand that they all lying bastards.

Sarah Palin was a failed experiment by the McCain campaign. After two terms of Bush, jr. with both elections looking shady the GOP knew that they couldn't possibly win. They let McCain run, figuring that they would satisfy his desire to run and not sacrifice any possible contenders for the future. McCain proved that he wouldn't be a good president by selecting Sarah and playing the gender card which fooled only the few who would be easily fooled. After her first rousing speech about whippin' up on them Dems, by golly, she didn't shut up and let people with brains do her talking. She kept proving again and again that she was the village idiot of Wasilia. You can see Russia from Alaska, you betcha', so that was her international experience. She is a creationist who would make the US into the Christian version of the Islamic Republics, completely devoid of anything but dogmatic thought and boneheaded stupidity.
As to the abortion question, it isn't anything but a GOP ploy to get the good intentioned to vote Republican. In the 36 years from 1972 to 2008 we have had 12 years of Democratic presidents and 24 of Republican Presidents. What changed?
After all the challenges to Roe v. Wade the court is unlikely to reverse itself now even if it could be packed with more conservatives. It has come down to an individual choice that each will make on her own. Those who actually walk in the shoes will decide and the law will not prohibit them.

Sarah is a quitter who can't stand the heat and is about to leave to her successor the problems she chooses not to deal with. As the price of oil falls, so do state revenues. She would likely have to raise state taxes so she bailed out. It won't be her raisin' them taxes, by golly you betcha. I will not vote for such an unaware, incompetent twit regardless of which party runs her. I can only hope the GOP comes to its senses and selects an electable candidate for 2012. This would exclude anyone named "Bush" or from the state of Texas.

I love threads like this. Please, do make more. The fanatical republicans that have gone over the edge push people away from the republican party. Look who you have supporting your cause. Rush and the KKK. Spreading hatred, bigotry, and ignorance. The death screams of a corrupt party.

Next, I hope the Democrats get torn up from the inside out. We need free thought, people voting for leaders based on their record and stance not party affiliation. We need an environment where politicians can say what they feel is right without worrying about their party punishing them.

I feel sorry for the people too stupid to realize that by playing this game, they've already lost the fight. The more divided we are, the easier we are to control. Religion. Politics. Racism. False Patriotism. All tools to control the foolish.

Tell you what I do know.

I know Sarah Palin was born in the United States, and she can provide a long form birth certificate to prove it.

I know Sarah Palin can show how she got all her money.

I know Sarah Palin has actually has some executive experience.

I know Sarah Palin isn't part of the corrupt Chicago political machine.

I know Sarah Palin didn't hang around with, and were sponsored by traitorous bombers.

I know Sarah Palin's pastors were never racist haters.

A hell of a lot more than we know about Mr. Mystery.

One other thing.

We would be assured that Palin would be getting OUT of our pockets - not digging in deeper, and getting government off our backs - not piling more on.

Anyone would be better that Obama.

I don't think anyone in here is professing their undying support and devotion. In fact I think most of us are disillusioned and have some issues with Obama. But this is the problem with you people and why most people think you're idiots. This thread isn't about Obama. This thread has nothing to do with Obama. Yet when pointing out why Palin is a god awful politician, all you can do it rant incoherently about Obama. That's literally all you have. And that's why after over nine years of utter failure, lies, and out-right stupidity no one can take your ideology or your moron leaders seriously anymore. Enjoy the fringe.

What should be feared is the idiots in the Republican party that love this woman! She is a political gold digger a woman that shamelessly uses her children as pawns and then cries and whines when they are in the spot light. I can't stand Obama but if Sarah runs you may as well hand the WH right back to him. The GOP needs a new direction and Shameless Sarah is more of the same.

Super dooper!

What's the worst side story regarding Palin? Nothing has really stuck. There's her pregnant unwed daughter but that was handled like any caring family. Kids make mistakes and I expect good parents to help them recover. What else? She dresses like a stewardess maybe? The horror! A stewardess in hip-waders. Not a hell of a lot of intrigue compared to the "man without a country".

you are seriously out of touch with the real American conservative public. you should travel more...meet people, seriously get yourself to one of these tea parties, mingle, see what people are thinking and worrying about.

As an idiot that (at least at this point) will vote for her, if she runs, still feel better than all those "smart" people that voted for Obama.

Sarah Palin scares me. George W was bad. He isn't smart as shown by his grades and general public demeanor. I honestly thought there could not be a worse president. Then here comes Palin. She is a truly stupid woman. On top of being a complete hypocrite she is a great fan of nepitism, as corrupt as they come, a zealous follower of her religion and from reports very emotional in a reactionary sense. Is this the kind of person that should lead the only current super power?

Please america, don't support Palin. I'm a foreigner, living in a foreign country and i'm begging you not to vote for this woman. She will not bring peace to this world.

The voters trusted a community organizer to the highest office in the country.

You honestly think we could do worse?

Yes, we could have done worse. Voting Sarah in as VP with McCain as POTUS and circling the drain would be worse.
