The debt is what is raping this country by who? The Liberals! The debt always gets higher with one in office but Ill give ya this your boy O broke that record by leaps and bounds.Thank goodness there are a few that see the truth here ,the rest are idiots.

It really got started with Ronald Reagan. Republicans will come in and do the same damn thing. WTF is wrong with you guys.

TWO WRONGS DOESN'T MAKE A RIGHT....no matter how much you think it will.

BTW....why don't you complain about the TRILLIONS of dollars wasted on our wars the last 8 years? Are liberals responsible for that as well?

They passed more legislation to fund another 100 billion for our "war on terrorism" recently. Where the hell are you there?

Better yet....WHERE IS FOX NEWS who keeps railing about all of the spending?

Hypocrites.

.....tell me Palin doesn't have a chance...

OK. I'll bite. Will she run on her "executive experience?"

Stepping down from an elected position prior to fulfilling her full term? (first term at that)

Hardly a solid background. Boo hoo, the American media attacked me but I can stand up to international "Evil Doers." I promise.

Politically, she's toast lady and I believe you are becoming delusional.

Wouldn't call myself or a liberal or a conservative. Never really dug that black and white thing. And no, I don't fear Sarah Palin, either. I fear the people who would (and did) vote for her.

Sorry, it's true. No offense meant.

I disagree with you and so do 74% of Americans

Shouldn't there be an astrisk there

74% of Americans that were polled by RUSH LIMBAUGH

[edit on 7/16/2009 by whatukno]

Nope, It is a gallup poll - www.gallup.com...

[edit on 16-7-2009 by JulieMills]

What's the saying? Lies, damn lies, and statistics?

Hate to break it to ya, but just because it's Gallup doesn't mean it's credible. Is there any data as to how this survey was executed? That's the only way that we could decide if any of those numbers are statistically relevant. Generally, phone polling over a short period time doesn't cut it. Basic Research Methods for the Behavior Sciences stuff.

Edit: Saw the methods post above; still not enough info by scientific standards. Really. Look it up.

OK I have NOT bothered to even read the OP or the thread.
That being said I am responding to the threads title................

IF people even just LIKED Sarah Palin then John McCain might have had a chance in hell to win the POTUS seat......but she is the major reason Obama won by a landslide.
If she had more than half a brain cell she MIGHT even be dangerous.

She is so thoroughly DESPISED in her own dam state that she had to just give up & resign bacause it was just TO HARD for her to deal with all the haters suing her..........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you claim she is LOVED?
PLEEEEEEEEZ I am dying of laughter here.....HAHAHAHAH OH my sides are killing me HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Those who would question Palin's intelligence has apparently not been looking at Obama and his consistent dumbass moves, nor our Congress, who sign bills without reading them.

Just how smart do you have to be to pass legislation you haven't read?

And what kind of dumbass do you have to be to SIGN legislation that wasn't read by the Congress, and certainly wasn't read by the President?

Folks are sick and tired of these lying-assed liberals who are crushing the American economy.

Palin brings one thing to the table that no one else does: some common sense - which really isn't that common.

/agree

Initially, I understood the appeal, before we heard much from/about her. But really, the more she talked, the more it polarized the other side. People who weren't sure to begin with, who still weren't sure about Obama, were definitely sure they didn't want her anywhere near Washington. Alaska is far enough away.

Given that, since we have a failed 2-party system, I'm sure many figured they may as well go with a winner.

Read this recent article by Vanity Fair. If it were lies and whatnot, they'd be going under for the slam-dunk slander/defamation suit brought out by the Palin's. Hell, Palin might even be able to secure enough cash to pay for all the legal bills from those 'frivolous' law suits that have contributed to her stepping down. But there won't be any defamation lawsuit. For that to happen, there needs to be defamation.

This shows many, many things, common sense NOT being among them.

Wakey, wakey.

Palin who?

Are you getting ready to promote her campaign efforts in the next elections for whatever she may be running for?

Obviously she will have to work her way through the southern states because around the neck of my woods nobody give a darn about her.

Make room for the new Imelda Marcos wanting power in the US political run for the white house

Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? Conservatives freak out about how much "Obamatrons" love Obama and ridicule them for that (and I do mean THEM not ME, I could care less for the guy), but do these people not notice that they "worship" Palin the same exact way?

You know after what has been done to our nation in the last 8 years and plus in seven months, this nation should be advocating for elimination of party puppets and fat rats that are ruining this nation.

But instead the propaganda machine is incredible crafty at keeping people blind and oblivious of the power behind the nations presidential seat.

We has been scammed obscenely and people still looking for a Saviour to restore the lost American dreams.

America has not been for the American people for decade and what we got in government is nothing but marionettes.

Similar to what I said before, people chastise Obama supporters for knowing nothing about the man before taking office and STILL throwing their undying support behind them. The same can be said about Sarah Palin. No one knew a dang thing about her until only about a couple of months before the election. Then suddenly she's everyone's best friend. At least Obama had been campaigning for about a year before the election.

You can't logically say that Sarah Palin would exercise more caution in signing legislation passed by the congress because we don't have a clue about how she really works. I don't think it's right to just assume she would be much better than Obama. They both give me the heebee-jeebies to be frank.

I know. All of this is just another case of "MY savior is better than YOUR savior, so NAAAA!" People should really start looking toward other people that have PROVEN themselves to stand up for what the people want and who stand against special interests. THEN you will find a worthy candidate.

Calm down my friend, I know, I know, with all that we have been experiencing and what we has seen going on, threads like this does make you blood boil, either propaganda at its finest, after all ATS is a very well populated forum or hopefulbees are still dreaming of the great America and the coming Saviour.

What a pity and a waste of time.

In all the years that I have been voting, since the seventies it has not been an honest politicians in the white house, they all run by private interest.

Sad but that is the reality of the corruption in our political system.

Palin gets negative press because she says and does things to purposefuly put her in the spotlight. Ever heard the the adage "There's no such thing as bad publicity"? The first greatest hurdle in national elections is getting your face out there, regardless of the situation. She's good at doing stuff to get her attention. Like quitting her job really early![edit on 16-7-2009 by Avenginggecko]

Exactly, my opinion is that she stepped down to concetrate on becoming a star. It's like the fast food worker who quits their job after they got a small part in movie as an extra and decided flippin burgers just didn't do it for them anymore. So the quit their job to move on to greener pastures hoping for a big part in a major motion picture.

Sarah Palin's only interest is to be a political celebrity and be in the national spotlight. She got a little taste and now she's hooked. To hell with her voters. She has bigger fish to fry.

That is so true I agree , she was a "small star" back home, but she had a taste of what power can do for her.

She became the main attraction for a while as the vice president candidate and going back to her small state status of government is no longer enough.

Power truly corrupts.
