Wake Up, GOP! Liberals Fear Sarah Palin Because the Voters Love Her

I won't vote for her if she runs in 2012. Period.


Now before anyone here gets the grand idea to bash me, I'm gonna set the record straight. That decision of mine is not based on political party affiliation, gender, race, creed blahdiddi blah and so on. For me it is ethics, or to be more simple it is a matter of upholding the Constitution while aiding in the betterment of the common people of this country. Nothing more, and nothing less.

The agenda in Washington is not for this idealism anymore, it is driven by the engine of monetary gain and self-indulged worth at the hands of those that do.

I will cut this tangent short, as it is too lengthy and outside the Op.
However, I will say this... I have no confidence that MY government is looking out for the best of me and you, and I will put that vote of 'no confidence' on the ballot the next go around. (if we are still here, that is)

Palin gets negative press because she says and does things to purposefuly put her in the spotlight. Ever heard the the adage "There's no such thing as bad publicity"? The first greatest hurdle in national elections is getting your face out there, regardless of the situation. She's good at doing stuff to get her attention. Like quitting her job really early!

And you have yet to address the actual break down of the numbers. 40% approval and 13% willingness to elect with only 7% of Republicans and 5% of the rest of the electorate undecided on her character, as well as a higher disapproval rating than an approval one.

Rush Limbaugh un-spinning? That's funny and MoveOn is fair and balanced!

Yes, she's been treated horribly by the media...but that in NO WAY qualifies anyone to be president.

It's all about who can talk better, or look better than the opposition and if things keep going the way they are, the elections will be less of an American Idol competition than the show is, all while taking a piss on everything we stood for.

since everything is planned out years ahead of time, here's the way it'll go:

In 2008, Palin is vaguely introduced as the VP of the obvious loser McCain. Obama wins, because any Democrat would have won after Bush. Obama will become less & less popular over the years, especially after the troops never come home, with possibly another terrorist attack as well.

Palin will appear to have fixed the Republican party by 2012. No one will believe in "global warming" anymore, and Palin will say "I told you so!" Everyone will want to use Alaska's oil when alternative energy fails, and Palin will say, "I told you so!" The Christians will feel persecuted after Obama, and vote Palin-Jindal, along with all smokers, medical workers, and anyone who lost a job due to illegal immigrants or "cap & trade" ... only the very far Left will vote Obama-Biden in 2012, and Palin-Jindal will win by a landslide.

BUT it's 3 years from now!!! well... in 2005, did you think the next president would be a black-white mutt with a Muslim-sounding name?!?! i doubt it.

Wow are you also taking some of the meds that rush does? If you guys keep kicking people out of your party and saying how glad you are to be rid of them your not gonna have anyone left. Would you not say that the very aspect of her which you mention, was also one of the deciding factors behind her stepping down from her Governorship, so that she could further emphasize her values and viewpoints on a National level?

I do know for sure that she stands for Limited Government, Domestic Oil Exploration, our Constitutional Rights, our MIL, and so on.

This is like the cyber version of the brown shirts in early 30s Germany. How they'd storm into film theaters or pubs or any public place creating disruption and screaming crazy pro-nazi political propaganda. That's seriously what this reminds me of. I mean in two pages look how charged this debate is and look how many stars have been given out. Compared to other threads of the same length, this thread is the equivalent of a ATS riot. It also shows with the amount of stars given in so few posts that people are really choosing their words carefully and trying to find the sharpest words and arguments they can. You have think to what end all this emotion and intensity is getting whipped up for and who gains by that?

You know certain elements on here are probably a CIA agents. I mean it's too perfect, with their avatars and absolute insanity. I mean incoherently drumming up all this attention for Palin in her weakest moment with frightening zeal. ATS is a fringe website in the eyes of the establishment. We've already seen that the government considers the right-wing to be a potential terrorist threats as they say. Why wouldn't they have agents on fringe websites (especially one with such an intense news section) to try to push political agendas and do reverse psychology. I mean I detest conservatives because of fringe people like this. I seriously think this a Pavlovian response that's being illicited here. I originally thought it was rather funny. A Ronald Reagan conservative is not a real conservative. I'm guessing you think it's ok to run up deficits and increase spending on the military industrial complex?

Ronald Reagan never made government smaller...NO ONE HAS. Name a large government agency or program that has been completely eliminated since he was in office.

Sarah Palin can say she's for small government all day and it will make no difference. I keep hoping that people will see through this BS...but you are proof that they won't...and most likely never will...and we will continue on the same path we are on.

When REPUBLICANS say they are for small government..it means nothing. They never come through and neither will Sarah Palin. Go ask her what she will cut. We didn't have SMALL GOVERNMENT when Ronald Reagan was in office and we sure as hell don't now.

So what's the real reason you like her so much? Is it her raving wit? Or does it just bite you to the bone that the left hates her so much? Do you think she's a genius? Do you think her looks alone is the enabler of being a President?

Many of the things you have stated in your thread dictate exactly what is wrong.

You are part of the problem Julie. Quit clouding your judgement with partisan politics and see things for what they are.

Sarah Palin will not change things...abortion will remain legal...she can't change it...it will never be changed.

If you are placing the entire hopes of this country on this woman....well....then all is lost.

I hate it when Liberals do what you are doing...and I sure as hell hate it when Conservatives do it.

We can't fix what is broken if our own judgement is broken as well.
