Legalizing prostitution would get rid of the drug ridden gutter aspect of it because there would be established businesses with rules and regulations and std testing and all staffed with women who are doing it as a profession not for a hit of crack.

It would literally break the backbone of street level prostitution. Not only that but not just any lice infested crackhead can walk into these businesses and get a job.

For us it's not a need, just an additional pleasure. It's similar to couples that like to talk dirty to each other or watch pornography together. Last post before I get off to eat dinner... I am not making an assumption. I am believing what I have been told by my husband (which by the way is getting a kick out of reading these posts!) Because we are always honest with each other, even over subjects that most people feel the need to hide their true feelings, I have no reason to doubt his sincerity. That's not the point. I asked if anyone would have a problem with their daughters being a prostitute. They said no. They would be proud.

Strip clubs and pornography are legal as well but they still attract boatloads of drugs and STD's. In fact STD's and AIDS are on the rise in the adult film industry. It's absolutely naive to think prostitution would be cleaned up just because it's legal. Moreover, would you want one in your neighborhood? You think everyone that uses a prostitute is a law abiding businessman just looking for a little excitement? Those type of businesses attract the scum of society.

Do you think that your daughter wouldn't get off to her husband in every way shape and form she so desires to do? Are you that naive to think that your child is inhuman and will never partake of the pleasures of sex?

Unlike you, some of us realize everything that this aspect of our lives entail, and have thought it over at great lengths, AND discussed it at great legnths with those we are with.

Pornography is legal, correct? It's legal to be in pornos if you're of age and consent? Then where is the issue? If that's what my daughter so chooses to do with her life, then just as with EVERY OTHER FREAKING ASPECT OF HER LIFE, it is her business.

There's a lot more demeaning jobs that can be done out there, for a lot less money, and a lot more danger. Would you want your child to be a sewage worker, siphoning out people's septic tanks and crawling around in feces all day?

Im absolutely positve that 90% of them are. When i first went out on my own i lived on the street in my city that is most famous for its prostitution and i can tell you that most of the vehicle picking these girls up were in the 40K + price range and a hell of a lot of company vehicles (yeah not everyone is a genius), most of these men were older and alot of them well dressed.

It's absolutely naive to think prostitution would be cleaned up just because it's legal

When they pass the law they could add mandatory std testing at the expense of the employee and since the girls would be well paid they could afford to get these tests done regurlarly, if not then pack up and go home.

I'm not a swinger personally, I prefer monogamous relationships however I like freedom, so if I do come to have kids and they grow up and want to enter the adult industry be it porn or prostitution I will support them in their endeavour as it will be their choice and their life to do with as they wish and I will always be there for them
