Really? What do you base this off of? You probably bump into many gay people any given day, you just don't know it. It's not like they tattoo it on their foreheads.

The image of God is both male and female and is reflected in a godly union between male and female where the creative power of God, His life-giving, His self-giving and His moral nature are perfectly expressed. This is only possible in a heterosexual union.

When God created a partner for Adam He created Eve - not another Adam. This means that perfect partnership requires some level of difference as well as a level of similarity so great that Adam could cry out loudly, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh". Sexual intimacy between a man and a woman is the normal method of male/female bonding (emotionally and physically) because it corresponds to the design of our bodies and because it is the normal means by which offspring are created.

If God had intended the human race to be fulfilled through both heterosexual and homosexual marriage, He would have designed our bodies to allow reproduction through both means and made both means of sexual intercourse healthy and natural. Homosexual anal intercourse carries a high risk of disease, this is recognized in Scripture where gay men are said to receive in their bodies the due penalty for their error (Romans 1:27).

Now all that aside, the true underlying battle against equal rights is this.

This country is " One nation under god" as our pledge of allegiance states, if the above is true then marriage is between a man and WOman , and as a nation under god, alot of people dont want to destroy the other foundation (not just our freedoms and rights) of this country by granting those equal rights. so many people want to change every little detail in this country now, taking the predominant religion of this country and taking its god out of everything that the founding fathers made, so that people who come( and are) here feel more comfortable and accepted. same old war, just a more mainstream fight.

I think what happens behind closed doors is fine, but i also think that the people on the other side of this deserve to keep marriage sacred

oh and Perez Hilton actually hurts any chance for the equal rights movement IMO

Even when the voters of California vote against gay marriage, the gays cry like babies because they can't have what they want. Why don't you folks take your defeat like adults and not like spoiled children and follow the will of the people.

I am so tired of picking up my morning newspaper, The Los Angeles Times (aka "The Trilateral Rag") and trying to find an article NOT about how gays and illegal aliens are mistreated. Someone said in an earlier post that this topic did not belong on ATS...but close to twenty pages I must disagree, perhaps more discussion is needed as many are willing to meet and agree to at least "live and let Live". People have quoted the Bilble to further thier own opinions but fail to remeber the words come from what is considered the old testament when there was no forgiveness or tolerance other than what was preached...they also forget that Child Sacriface was an accepted practice during the times of the old testament. Someone said homosexuality is caused by bad genectics or maybe from copper pipes...now that copper pipes are rarley used does this mean no more homosexuals? Most gays want to live life like everyone else...happy and productive. Those in the Gay parades...well I have seen the same behavior if not worse at Mardi Gras in New Orleans by Heterosexuals...some people have no common sense and alcohol excerabates that lack of sense. Perhaps one day We can progress as Humans and as a Believers and Non-Believers to just get along. The church is quick to condemn those that are on the outside but since they are not accepted inside they have no where to go, maybe if We invited them in We could see that it is about love and not sex or an agenda and that they are people too, Believers even...after all how many Priest and Preachers have committed these same acts but they are quickly forgiven even when children are involved. The church makes money off controversy...make no mistake as Religion is a 100-Billion dollar a year business with TV personalities, Book Stores, ETC. they have payrolls and income but still enjoy Tax Exemptions. They use that money to influence the Legislative process thru the art of Lobbying and condemn everyone that doesn't believe as they do, even other religions. They are iunable to agree amonst them selves much less with anyone else and it is this intolerence I believe that God looks on with total disbelief and thus is the main reason I believe there is life elsewhere in our universe. God gave up here and moved on to greener pastures to get it right the next time. So Gays should have all the rights accorded to anyone else as far as marriage or civil services. I do not know any gays that would actually try to force a church to marry them much less wish to subject the very people that preach hatred to have anything to do with their relationships. PDA is not accepted anywhere as far as I am concerend by either side but it is prevalent amongst both so We cannot get away with not talking to our children about it...many have said they do not want thier children exposed to the gay lifestyle ever...What if they are You drank from copper pipes and grow to become a...God Forbide...Homosexual!

I happen to be in Toronto on the day of this year's parade. I witnessed various lewd acts being committed by gays in and out of the parade.

Actually, I normally wouldn't reply to a thread like this except that I was there that day and saw what goes on.

You know you kind of make a point with your pic of the ladies. The only thing is I would find myself disgusting say if I went parading around in a speedo in a pubic parade, but I would not find it disgusting to see some half naked chic in the parade.

We just have all these preconceived notions of what is acceptable. Like nobody really wantts to see a bunch of old guys running around buck naked. Mens bodies are kind of ugly. I dont even know why women are attracted to us to be honest.

I guess maybe it is just tolerance. Hell I dont know. I mean I wouldnt want to see a bunch of half naked fat women running around either. But I guess we just have to learn to accept stuff and close our eyes and go about our business.

Unfortunately, I had to be downtown that day. But the gays were not just confined to the parade route. They spilled over into most of the downtown and it was very hard to avoid them.

See ON THE HOLE (haaaaaahaha) i think this issue is kinda funny.. See i grew up my whole life playing sports, hockey football rugby lacrosse and there is literally constant homosexual innuendo thrown around on and off the playing feilds. We shower together we joke around and we did # that would appear to anyone outside the group as "homosexual" i mean we diddint kiss each other and touch each others flesh balloons haha. Macho heterosexual men watch and play these sports ( and yes i know the poofs watch and play them too) Its just funny because all of these sports are considered the macho thing, I don't really know where i was going with this, i just think people take it all far too seriously..

I am not a violent person at all as a matter of fact, but if someone mentions ANYTHING about my child or wife I get angry.
