How is she a fascist?

Tell me this - where is it going to end? How low should we allow trousers to be worn? What if you could see the top of the pubic hair area? Is it then obscene? Or what if you saw a glimpse the penile base area (not the full manhood)? How about then? How far can you let it go before it gets ridiculous? And who decides the cut-off point?

Right now you lot are saying it is ok to be confronted by the cleavage of the buttock area. Ok, then - is it OK to see the actual hole of the anus? What's the difference? And again, who decides?

John.

I saw a video on the TV news one day. It was some moron bank robber with his baggy pants hanging down. He was trying to run away but couldn't get far because he had to keep pulling up his pants and juggle the stolen bag of money at the same time.

Big bag pants hanging down looks pathetic.
If people want to look like that .. they can.
The rest of us will just keep laughing at them behind their backs.
... so everyone is happy.

Well in most UK Shopping centres, Wearing your hoodie up, is banned, so is wearing supposingly caps, as a result of rising theft and suposignly crime related incidents. Oh and also so they can use thier Big Brother CCTV cameras to spy on you, and see what you are up to.

Just another step of the governement trying to tellus what to do. Well I Have two words for the Governement , up yours!!

As much as I dislike people who don't know what a belt is, or how to wear their jeans correctly, this is ludicrous.

If she doesn't like it, she can look away. My god, and who gives a damn what a 70 year old thinks anyway? She's only going to be around another 10 years or so.

What a joke.

On a side note folks. PLEASE, I encourage everybody to learn some fashion, as there is far too much tackiness around this summer
.

I totally agree. Wear them if you must but that droopy pants look has always looked stupid to me. A lot of the younger guys I know however do sport to some degree a looser waist and lower ride.

Be fashionable. As a gal I like to see the tooshy a little better.

Oh for goodness sake, get over it already, If you find it offensive then do not look, although it might be hard not to lol.

Teenagers get enough crap nowadays without having even moe crap flung at them.

It is a phase, we all went through them. Once it goes out of fashion, what next are they going to complain about!

Power trip...plain & simple. She has it, and wants to flex it while doing something seemingly virtuous by eradicating something that, in her opinion, is disgusting. People without perspective (among other things) should not have power, IMHO.

(P)ower = -(f)reedom/(d)emocracy > P = -f / d + $

Wonder if she'll do the same with fat women/men in spandex, or eating a huge Coney w/everything without a napkin?

EDIT: Stars abound!

If they want to look like morons then let them, as long as they are not showing skin.

Nothing dumber than an idiot wearing jeans and a shirt that is 4 times to big, a pair of lace up boots with the laces pretty much only their for looks,a belt with a buckle that looks as if they won it at a rodeo and their hat on side ways with the tags still on it.

edit spelling.

Again I am very appalled by the double standard that exists here, even in the comments within this thread.

If this woman was attempting to limit a woman's ability to dress the way she wanted to (Bra showing, low cut jeans, thong haning out) then people would be in absolute uproar with this elderly woman.

But ohh no, since she's going after men who wear this kind of style it's all game and people have no problem with telling each other how gross and rude it is for men to be showing the same parts that women do on a daily basis.

Ha, I'll say it again, equality is a myth.

rather have my pants nice and loose and comfortable then try squeezing into girl pants like the other half of my cohort.

besides, my belts are all broken and #ty and i can never keep my pants up even when i try.

I think your all over-exadurating a bit. Very few people wear their pants as low as you all say. when their below your ass your not really earing them anyway. Maybe the really thugged out kids, but common, thats really not very many of us. and even then we don't complain about it, and i don't even go home and rant about it by myself. each is to his own.

My generation doesn't give a flying F*%& what your generation thinks is pretty on your ass

We should just do away with personal preference altogether and issue everyone their uniforms.

I bet she'd REALLY freak out if she saw me wearing my loincloth only. Sometimes i sport a traditional breechcloth style. that only covers my wang, nuts, and some of my asscrack. I don't do that too often though cause when i do girls try to grab my,,, well,,, let's just say when i wear a loincloth girls end up trying to cop a feel. I've had girls say stuff they'd do to me that coustruction workers would be embarrassed to yell from up on the roof. But since i don't wear my loincloth to get laid, it's more of a distraction than anything.

This is a really dumb idea. It's just a passing fad. Kids are flocking to the stores to by Michael Jackson hats and clothes now.....at least it's better than showing their plumber's butts and underwear to us.

She should make a video showing how stupid the littel morons look and post it on youtube.....she will get much better results.

Since she has a problem with that where are the people about females showing there thongs and breast with low cut shirts and sports bra's.

This is sexist either we need to be talking about they way women dress as well or nobody.

I'll support this when woman stop showing thongs, there breast and sometimes private areas due to wearing low wise jeans.

If anywhere is going to have a law like this it needs to be consistent with both sexes.

STOP THE FREAKING PRESSES! Really? You think someone who wears their pants below their waist is unable to raise a child? I HAVE NO BUTT! My pants fall down on occassion even with a belt! What kind of Gestapo mentality do you guys have? GEEZ I am the first one to say its distasteful but what about PLUMBERS and CITY WORKERS and ROAD CREWS? Are they unable to breed as well? Lets hope YOU never wake up and find your butt has been stolen while you slept! Just wanted to show how extreme that sounded. Find a hobby. Someone with no sense of fashion is NOT a threat to our way of life. But comments like yours are and I say that respectively.

Do not forgot the obesers standing in line at Baskin Robbins wearing their mismatched sweatsuit WHEN WE ALL KNOW YOU NEVER BREAK A SWEAT! I am overweight therefore I can criticize the people who forgot what their genitalia looks like.

What's really scary about the droopy pants thing is that we see the odd 40 year old man trying to look younger than he is by wearing his droopy pants....and that is a gross site to see.

It's like seeing those old guys that get stuck in the hippie/rocker mode of the mid 60's to early 70's.....kinda frightening.

A shiver just went up my spine....kinda made my skin feel like it was crawling away.

As I posted before, Hello, this is the year 2010 not the 1950'sor 60's. If you legislate against people over waht they wear, what are they going to do, rebel!!!

Think some need to get with the culture and get over this prudent oh this should not happen scenario.

I wish I was a teenager again or a US Citizen, I would challenge her in the Surpreme court, And see how this would play out.

I live the sans rear life as well. My pants stay on my waist where they should. It's called a belt. Of course they move and of course they slide but never have I had to walk around with undergarments exposed or one hand constantly holding them up. Neither are they tight. The only pants I wear have that arent shorts are some cargo pants. The same pair in three shades of khaki.

Yes, when I see a grown man walking around with his hat tilted off to what must be magnetic North and one hand holding up his elephant pants (which ironically do have a belt just one set for a waist three times the circumference of the current waist it wraps) speaking some retard dialect of cursing and grunts peppered with such colorful speech modifiers as "yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyo" and reaking of WalMart cologne and stale tobacco I do judge them to be unfit. Unfit to run their own lives and certainly unfit to raise and nuture another life.

My view might be "gestapo" to you but trust me when I say I have no desire to legislate these people or their actions. I have no desire to limit or ban any part of their lives. They are free to fail. What I wholly object to far more than the actual lifestyle, if you can call it that, is when government forces these morons voted in come for my wallet, guns drawn, to fund the lifestyle and encourage the behavior.

A night out with the "boyz" or "hanging at da club" or whatever fool-ass thing they do, fine, behave like a jackass and dress like a crackhead. At a job interview, parent/teacher conference, the post office, out in public with the rest of civilized society etc... behave yourself.

I love the generational excuse folks have. Unless you live in some region of the globe running about 20 years too slow this manner of dress and slurred illiterate manner of speech have been around long enough to get quite worn out. That something that really surprises me. The little rocker cliques and the typically white cliques have all gone through their cycles the past decade or so from grunge to punk revival to pop punk to emo and the like but the hip-hop clique has been stagnant. Except for, as another poster pointed out, the collegiate hip-hop scene and largely white hip-hop scene adopting a 80's hipster style the high school level hip-hop appearance and behavior has remained largely unchanged since I was in high school. They looked and acted like inbred retards then and look and act like inbred retards now.

It's easy to not judge a book by its cover but when the book opens up and speaks to you in some semi-hostile, grunting noise muffled by an overall lack of self-esteem all the while grabbing at its crotch it becomes much easier to discount the contents of said book.

Droopy pants annoy me now, but when I was a teen I used to wear mine a little bit saggy. My cheeks never showed though. Most will grow up like me and wear them normal.

I don't think laws need to be made to tell us what to wear. Droopy pants may be rude to some, but so are people that think they are all that and wear clothes that are way to tight in public or at the beach.
