In my opinion, he isn't worth a tear nor whimper. One less wackjob in the world.

And strangely, about 99.9% of people would rather choose Michael Jackson over you or anyone else in this thread. His impact on music was so great, that is worth something.

Is that why everyone stopped buying his music? Because everyone loves it so much?

I don't get the psychology of some of you guys. Similarly to the people that say "He molests children, they're safe now". Honestly, if you're going to say the world is better off without him, you better apply that same thought to yourself, its only fair. Everyone is guilty of something in life. Or people that say "I'm glad he's dead", its funny since these people themselves don't want to die. I just find that funny. They talk about death like its nothing, yet if they knew they were dieing in an hour or so, they'd be panicking more than likely.

We're not concerned about his death because he's just some celebrity. This will blow over within a week or 2, thankfully.

We'll all get distracted by another big headliner soon enough.

In Australia we have a saying: "Opinions are like (*insert expletive synonym for rectum, here*)'s, everybody has one"

And around here....Lol!

We have a saying...

May you rest in peace....And by the way Im not laughing...Just amused...

He had some catchy but yet, cheesy tunes. Nothing else in my opinion. I wasn't a fan of him and thought he was a complete wacko, Jacko the Wacko yeah?

The picture of him dangling his baby from the window is my evidence to back up his sanity.

It's sad a human being lost his life. But you know...a lot of people die every minute of the day. And guess what? Did anyone here personally know the guy? No, so please, stop defending him like he's your boyfriend. I'm sure he wouldn't approve unless you were a pre-teen anyway.

Also, like someone else asked: How is this a conspiracy? let's make it one!

MJ is not dead! This is all a publicity stunt.

"His impact on music was so great"

What exactly made his music so great?

Is it because everyone use to listen to it?

MJ sold more albums than anyone else and and influenced artists more so than probably any other person. We already know how history is going to be written, a legendary artist. Some of you are really grasping at straws, how are you some authority on music? Every artist out there would attest with his greatness. With that I'm done with this thread, I think some of you must have been molested by a priest or dad or something since you seem to have some personal reason for hating him, and its baseless.

It is pretty obvious though that his chaotic childhood made his adulthood. He was abused as a kid, and I don't think a lot of people in this thread showing hate understand how that can effect a person. He wanted to help children in the way that he felt would have helped him as a kid.

He was a top artist for a while, that made him so great..apparently.

I don't get it, he had hits that were catchy. But overall, his music was pretty damn bad.

So he tried to help childern by sleeping in the same bed with them?

I don't see how that is helping.

He sold a lot of albums, doesn't mean he's God. Overrated cheeseball if you ask me. Same goes with bands such as Metallica or any top pop star these days...just because they sell a lot of albums and make quite a profit, doesn't mean they're any good.

only thing he was talented at was doing a moonwalk. Which, I'll admit, inspired me to try to do it and I still can't manage to pull it off like he did!!!!

Selling over 750 MILLION Albums... I would say the reason his Albums stopped selling is purely market saturation. He ran outa new people to sell to

I was shocked when i heard the news. What a loss for the world. An outstanding humanitarian and a brilliant artist.

I thought I wrote Charleton Heston and Paul Newman in, shoot. I do agree that these people really are just entertainers that most of us never knew, but their work has inspired us in some ways. Perhaps Michael Jackson influenced someone to take up dancing, or you were inspired by Paul Newman on his work with charity, his committed and long marriage that is unheard of in hollywood, not to mention the characters he's played. The list goes on. Perhaps George Lucas and Steven Spielberg got you interested in space, Aliens, enlightenment, or even ancient history.

Because of Star Wars, I became interested in not only martial arts, but meditation, enlightenment, the Indiana Jones movies got me interested in ancient history because anyone who loved those movies as a kid or even as an adult imagine themselves as Indy? E.T got me fasinated with Aliens. That's why I don't rule out the entertainment industry, however there isn't as much out there as it was more than a decade ago because it's mostly recycled material, but many of those mentioned certainly were original. Michael Jackson got me interested in music and dancing. Plus I remember just how cool he was back in the day and who didn't want to be like that?

It would help if you actually had an understanding of psychology, and if, I don't know, you where fair and balanced like Fox News.

His early life was shaped by his abuse. He helps relieve that pain in youth by trying to help others, based on what he needed as a kid. Do you understand that, without being judgmental? It's similar to celebs that beat breast cancer and then start up a charity. People relieve pain by trying to prevent that pain for others. I'm not saying its right or wrong like you are, but that is what it is. I'm not a judgmental person, the New Testament says if you judge, then you shall be judged. You can judge all you want, but it will come back to you. Jesus said love God and others with all your heart, mind, and soul, and I suspect many of you are self-described "Christians".

This celebrity is different though. Michael Jackson was just as popular as Elvis was in his day. This won't blow over, and you can imagine the stories that are going to be said in the future.

"the New Testament says if you judge, then you shall be judged"

and it would appear you are judging him too by saying he's a good guy.
