Calling me a coward is verging on a personal insult.

Yet i'm one of the ONLY people on this thread who isn't hiding behind a gun.

If you wanna resort to insults via u2u then go for it, but i won't be replying because i will say what i want publically and i'm not ashamed what i say, because that's the way it is...

Anyone who chooses not to carry a gun(or any weapon) is asking to be robbed or beat in some random act of violence. To give your safety or protection over to a state run agency(cops) is insane.

We've always had "guns" in our culture. Whether you want to fundamentally accept that or not, it's entirely up to you.
We live in America. There's over 300,000,000 guns in America.
And you're dead wrong. We ALREADY have HAD gun crime.

To be quite honest, video cameras constantly watching me 24/7 bothers me more than handguns, as in such countries.

i am not writing this out of any unbias feelings towards police officers. my step father and uncle are both policemen.

as a few folk have stated before, even in defense of his family, there is no way this man should have shot these 2 scumbags (as that what they are) IMO the policeman should be appearing before a judge and given jail time!

these people are in charge of our safety and are supposed to be setting an example, not blowing people to pieces. if the policeman was replaced by a regular joe bloggs in this story, he would be charged possibly with 2 cases of attempted murder!

I also grew up in the thick of it. Inner city life.
I won't begin to tell you of some experiences I've had, that was also exposed to me @ a young age.
But that doesn't give you, or me any special privilige does it?

why you think the murder rate in the UK is so low? any type of weapon is illegal, illegal possession of a knife can get on average 3 years in jail!
