(not aimed at anyone in particular) I'm sorry, but Glenn Beck is not the only person doing this. Infact, NPR was saying the same things after it happened. 9/11 truthers are lumped in with any, and all conspiracy theorists by ALL MAIN STREAM MEDIA! This is not some republican vs democrat issue...if you see it like that you are still a sheep.

"Lord" you are completely correct, he is not the only one but he claims more then others in the mainstream media to be on the side of truth and draws his audience in with some of the same topics that truthers across the world believe in and then slaps them down on national tv. We expect that from Olbermann and O'Reilly and Anderson Cooper... I need to make it clear! I agree completely with you but there are still many others who are not awake to knowledge that there isn't a left-right.

Great posting "Lord"

Superficially the bad press that the 911 truthers are getting puts off a lot of people. Critical thinkers that do a little research will find that David Kubiak, executive director of 911Truth.org is also employed by Los Alamos National Labs. Security screening at that US government lab is extremely thorough.

Most people that sign a web site petition realize that they may be investigated. A Felon like Brunn that tried to hold the Federal Reserve board hostage would stick out like Charles Manson signing a bridal registry! I haven't jumped to any conclusions yet, but if this is what LANL considers subjective transparency then we may have to look a little deeper to find the truth....

Call me crazy but I agree with Glen.

Not all 911 truth people are Nazis, but many Nazis are 911 truth people. And to Glenn's side, I would not be surprised if that group of people used Al Queada to carry out their needs.

Sorry people, but on youtube most of the crazies I debate with are 911 truthers and Nazis.

To deny that the 911 truth movement isn't overpopulated with Nazis is to deny reality. If you don't want this label slapped on you, I suggest a Valkyrie operation on your own group.

WHOA! Godwin's Law strikes again.

Godwin's Law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies)[1] is an informal adage coined by Mike Godwin in 1990. The adage states: "As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[2][3]

AKA Reductio ad Hitlerum, association fallacy, ad hominem attack etc.

On a topic about Nazis.... I really see the point of that law.

Were you somehow expecting a topic about Nazis to not talk about Hitler and nazis?

if so, well, you're not in reality.

I don't know. Maybe I'm crazy, but please, by all means, if you can figure out a way of discussing Nazis without ever mentioning Nazis or Hitler, you're a better man than me.

A great big failure on your behalf.

The topic is not about Nazis, it's about Beck associating the 9/11 truth movement with a killer who happens to be a Nazi, and deplorably declaring said Nazi to be a hero of the movement.

You missed the point of my post: That when other legitimate arguments are failing, certain tactics are used to confuse and side-track discussions.
It usually means that those using the attacks and false associations are running out of valid arguments, or lack logical debate skills.

No. I didn't even read the replies. I read what Glenn said and then replied with my opinions of his words. And in my experience, I have noticed that many of the youtube Nazis I debate are also part of the 911 truth movement. So, to my experience, Glenn is correct in his statements because it is what I see.

Where is the fallacy? Where is the side track? where is the diverting from the topic?

Uncertainty surrounding the MSM portrayal of the 911 event could be used by the hate group of your choice to further their agenda.

I haven't gone through the 911truth org list as thoroughly as the security agents for LANL would have. I'm sure its not all just free spirited Raspberry Beret types..

For me this is an educational experience like reading about the Valkyrie operation during WW2. The ATS members can learn about MSM spin doctor tactics, and maybe use critical analysis as a group to uncover some hidden truths about the 911 operation.

Beck may have been overboard on this one, but he is right more times than wrong. And the 9/11 "truthers" need to get their foil hats off and learn some basic science. Like Rosie O'Donnell saying "steel doesn't melt."

First, how do you think it MADE Rosie?! Second, it doesn't have to. Just be weakened to allow for the structural integrity to be compromised.

Everyone, you need to have a BROAD view of not only Beck, but politics, economics, and the entire political spectrum. By focusing on a single comment, you can't see the forest for the trees.

Nunny, If I can quote from one of your other posts re: 9/11

"GLOWING RED! That means the fire from the fuel was weakening the steel. Note I didn't say melted - WEAKENED! THat's all that needs to happen to make a collapse happen. Hmm, crashing at 500 MPH, with 200 TONS of fuel burning constant along with furniture and papers, and breaking a couple of support beams when it enters. YEAH! That would do it!

Can't you people just come together as a nation so we can fight these extemists as a NATION - AS ONE? There are plenty of other conspiracies out there to be concerned about."

Reading from the text above it's pretty clear what you adgenda is. An airliner carries (and I quote), "200 TONS of fuel"???

If you are a shill, I hope it's not your dayjob. I bet you got an 'F' in physics.

Sorry, but Gorman is correct. Anything is fair pretty much with this discussion because it all has some relavence and barring on this discussion. I am standing by Glen on this one as well. I myself have met many truthers that want to commit acts of violence on the government and others to get their point across and many of them are also racists.

That is why I usually laugh at the truthers when they say they are peaceful. Most of them are not. I do not believe a word the truthers say because of my run ins with them on more then one occassion.Granted, I've met a few that were decent people that I'm sure were not violent and very peaceful. If the truthers want to be taken seriously, then you all need to start weeding out the violent ones and racist ones.

Untill you do, I will not have anything to do with the truthers nor will I believe any of your 9/11 theories. Being in the Military has made me much more alert and much more keen to being cautious about everything. Propbably why I'm going to the Police Academy soon.

Now some people think this guys a racist and maybe he is.

My question is, how many 88 year old men do you know post on internet message boards and shoot up museums? My grandpas a vet and he's a little crazy, but he ain't shooting anybody up and definitely does not postin messages on the internet.

The priest at the high school I went to code write code for computers in his sleep and taught classes on web development and how to build games and programs.

he was 70 something.

Bare in mind 88 is a symbol for Nazis, and racists often try their best to communicate with their fellow racists. They are crazy and simply idiotic.

The fact remains that a large number of truthers are also racists.

What a bunch of poppycock!
Where in the world would you even associate the two.
Unless your calling everyone here on ATS a racist,
because alot of us here are looking for the truth about 911!

Your political views are mixing with your logical mind.

I would agree that Nazis can be found in most conservative groups, 9/11 truth, tea party's and even in the 9/12 project. As far as being overpopulated? Hmm I would agree that having some wacko's in every group does not discredit the groups message. Great post and I see your point but MSM needs to start reporting fact not fiction and opinion!

That is the point! To stay on point and GB's agenda is to distract his sheeple from searching for the truth about what truly happened that day and to discredit the movement. Ty "I Saw Somethings"

"Nunny" I love discusion and debate. I agree with your bottomline message but GB didn't need to add truthers to his comments on the 10th. There was nothing to gain except to attack the movement and discredit them to his audience. He's a new pet of Mr. Murdock
