if we offered EVERYONE of them visa's/citizenship/simple aid for the first 3 years/not going into the rest due to to would piss alot of the sane people off.....

All I want to know is how these guys manage to get the funds to get the materials and the training to use said items?

Honestly, if the FBI's point in doing this was to say "look, we can walk into a ghetto and bribe poor people to do extremist stuff!" then they did a pretty good job. Right now, the information we have available tells us these guys didn't have the means or ability to dish out an attack, and may have been motivated by monetary gain more so than anything else, given the actions of the informant.

It sounds like he bribed them constantly, for a long period of time, promised to take care of all their financial pressures, and got them riled up to carry out favors for him.

From what I see, the only thing extreme about these people is their low income. Unemployed, walmart employee, temp unemployed?

People do crazy things for money, especially in times like these.

The arrest of petty crooks over a plan to target Jews has put the use of sting operations under fire

ON the steps of New York city hall on Friday, Michael Bloomberg, the mayor, praised the police officers and federal agents who helped disrupt an apparent terrorist plot to blow up a synagogue and shoot down military aircraft.

The mayor was flanked by more than 100 homeland security and counter-terrorist specialists, all of whom had a hand in an elaborate sting that netted four alleged Muslim extremists. Their plan, according to FBI agents, was to detonate a “fireball that would make the country gasp”.

The operation was acclaimed by New York officials for its success in averting what David Paterson, the state governor, described as “a heinous crime”.

Yet not every New Yorker was impressed by the latest in a long line of purported anti-terrorist triumphs that have supposedly averted tragedy in New York, Chicago, Toronto and several other North American cities since September 11, 2001.

“This whole operation was a foolish waste of time and money,” claimed Terence Kindlon, a defence lawyer who represented the last terror suspect to be tried in New York state. “It is almost as if the FBI cooked up the plot and found four idiots to install as defendants.”

Kindlon’s complaints were echoed by other legal experts who have repeatedly questioned the FBI’s reliance on undercover informants – known as confidential witnesses (CWs) – who lure gullible radicals into far-fetched plots that are then foiled by the agents monitoring them.

“Did they really need all those men in ninja suits with M16 rifles to arrest four idiots?” wondered Kindlon, a former marine sergeant whose main concern is that real terrorists may be plotting undisturbed while domestic US agencies focus on fantasists. “Somewhere, someone in Al-Qaeda must be laughing.”

And of course a defense attorney who has represented terror suspects in New York can be counted on to repeat his plea to the court. He disparagingly describes the type of clients he has represented as "idiots" and "gullible radicals" which sort of begs the question why he chooses to represent them.

Technically you could say soldiers are "terrorists" to the opposition, and visa versa, but that's as far as it goes. You are just as bad as the people in Homeland Security calling veterans potential terrorists...because guess what, the CIA and FBI at times, also give their lives for our county, and they do it with no honors. Yes, these guys are still going to jail, but nobody is safer for it. The FBI wasted a ton of time and resources creating this.

This has got to be the most obvious, laughable case of a bs fake terrorist operation EVER in the USA. It's all there for anyone who wants to look closer at the details, they aren't hiding it, just not really covering that angle in the msm much. They are content knowing most people won't look that deep into this story.

Obviously, the powers that really run our government decided Barry needs some help in the mass media. I bet he's already much less popular than polls are showing.

I live in central Jersey so I know people who saw those towers come down first hand. People that came home covered in dust and debris. You can't tell them that planes didn't hit those towers.

First off, I'm not going to "Just stop it".

When that "famous" video of the plane hitting the first tower was released by the BBC, many people ooo'd and awe'd about how horrific it was. I never in any way suggested that the buildings didn't come down. There is no doubt that the buildings did come down. However that video taken from Battery Park, simply could not have been filmed from where it was stated that it had been filmed. Several video's have been made to attempt to get the angle, but could not because of trees, building etc.

However, that's not the point of my post. It was suggested that because it had been seen on TV, that the information was factual. This was the point of my post. ANY person, in this day and age that uses "I saw it on TV" as a definitive point of proof, should be slapped.

The point of the original post was that the FBI had over stepped their mandate and pretty much orchestrated the event. Some have suggested that the FBI would not do such a thing, however American History is rife with exactly this behavior from the "Alphabet Groups".

These days it is NOT possible to take the NEWS on face value. The NEWS has become a corrupt vassal of the propaganda arm of the government. However, it would seem that ATS has become far more reliable with breaking news than anything on the MSM, even though we have to put up with the mindless drivel of the "government can do no wrong" group.

No planes crashed into the WTC. IF you can prove it to me, then I'm willing to look at the possibility of that happening.

OVER 99.99% of people DID NOT see planes crash into the WTC. Just because on TV it says planes crashed doesn't make it true.

Not to mention it's been proven that NO plane crashed into the Pentagon and that in FACT it was a missile, so again check your facts.

So, we should not take anything the MSM reports at face value (a sentiment I agree with by the way) but we should take the report from some website at face value?

Unless you have some additional sources that corroborate the report in the OP then that is exactly what you are doing. It constantly amazes me how some here will lecture about the dangers of believing the MSM and yet accept the word of someone like Alex Jones (or the website quoted in the OP).

You can't deny ignorance if you are only skeptical about sources that report news that does not fit into your preconceived world view.

I am currently reading "The Rabbi's Daughter: A True Story of Sex, Drugs and Orthodoxy" by Reva Mann. A fantastic book on the under belly of radical places of worship.

While I mention this I do believe most orthodox rabbis are genuinely religious and God fearing, many of the reform rabbis are atheists and shop fronts for radical and extremist activities more often than not associated with the criminal underworld and/or mossad.


It is interesting to note the glee of Israeli apologists here over this pathetic story. The irony is that the events on this news item has nothing to do with the Middle East, terrorism, a threat to the US or the 'war against terror'. It is really about psyops against the American people gone bad.

When Israel began in 1948 it was invaded by it's Arab neighbours with the intent of driving them out. Despite their losing the unprovoked war those who fled were invited to return and declined. In two successive unsuccessful wars against Israel genocide was actually stated as the intent.

Something like 1.5 Million Arabs live in Israel right now. It doesn't appear the Israeli government has had the intent you state.

You name an extremist Rabbi. There are probably others.

Can you compile a list of Muslims who teach that Jews must be driven into the sea?

I don't need to prove a damn thing to you. I know people who were there and saw the planes. My grandfather watched the planes hit the buildings. I don't need to prove anything to you.

We're in agreement on some points masonatcher. I kind of wish the target hadn't been Jewish because for some that immediately invites unrelated political and religious issues.

But I note a subdued glee in those who rush to judgement reflexively appropriating all blame on the FBI and exonerating those accused of responsibility.

Why are there apologists for people preparing to kill innocent people?

I have a hard time trusting the media and the government (pretty much any government), too.
However, where is the source the journalist got this information from. I can write an article and say that the FBI agents did A, B, and C, too.
As for the guy who doesn't believe that airplanes hit the Twin Towers... I live in NY. I have friends who worked down in the Financial District and saw the planes hit with their own two eyes and then had to run for their lives. There are a lot of things I'd like some answers to regarding 9/11 but planes hitting the towers is not one of them. That actually happened.
