Despite the pompous statements from Mayor Bloomberg of New York and other politicians, including Representative Peter King, the whole story is bogus. The four losers may have been inclined to violence, and they may have harbored a virulent strain of anti-Semitism. But it seems that the informant whipped up their violent tendencies and their hatred of Jews, cooked up the plot, incited them, arranged their purchase of weapons, and then had them busted. I can see preventative measures being put into place, but when you start walking the line of entrapment, you have to reassess the situation.
Would I have rather these men not have been checked.. no, but if these people aren't really the problem and are only being used to show "progress".. who is watching the real threats, if there are any?

Yep. And then there's the CIA. Who actually recruits REAL terrorists to do REAL attacks. But you'll never ever see THAT on the front page of the

To make matters worse, there have been government agents tracking terrorist groups in the USA since the 80s. Many article can be found by a simple
search. There are numerous threads within ATS detailing the facts on that, so no need to go into it on this thread.
There are at least 35 known actual terror camps inside the USA, and here we have reports of the federal agencies screwing off and wasting critical resources and money we don't have not to mention valuable time.
In 2002/03 there were approx 20 known terror groups inside the USA, earleir this year the media months and years after the fact, reported 35 known. That is 15 new known camps within 6 years, after 9/11.
False flag, misdirection or plain idiocy we may never known but we do know the Fed is f'ed up. Major reform and improved oversight of the government is essential.

This is a bogus charge. It was probably entrapment. And knowing how FBI informants operate, he probably offered these guys, who are probably dirt poor, a lot of money to pull this foolish mission.

Personally, I would have negotiated with the Branch Davidians for maybe a day and then I would have set fire to the complex myself. I doubt the FBI spent millions of dollars and manhours trying to negotiate with a group of nutcases just to decide to kill them after a month or two.

The FBI's army of confidential informants seems to increasingly embed itself with some of the most inept "terrorists" imaginable. I just skimmed the US Attorney's criminal complaint against the fearsome foursome that allegedly targeted two Riverdale synagogues and a Newburgh airport. I'm left with the sense that they aren't such a scary bunch.
James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams, and Laguerre Payen, no doubt wanted to blow up Jewish temples and military aircraft. They clearly wanted to obtain C-4 and surface-to-air missiles. The problem is they were fantastically far removed from any realistic means of obtaining WMDs. In other words, these accused Bronx bombers were no more capable of executing an explosive attack, than a little league team is capable of beating the New York Yankees.
...Finally, on April 30th, a full week after the terror team started hunting for handguns, they found a Brooklyn man who agreed to sell them. ...hold your breath. ... exactly one .9 millimeter pistol. Now I'm not minimizing the danger posed by illegal handguns, but one fist full of steel, a terrorist does not make.
It turns out that one gun, is the only weapon the Newburgh bunch could find on their own. The FBI's confidential informant provided the fake C-4. The confidential informant provided the mock Stinger Missile system. The criminal complaint fails to tell who paid for the weapons, but given the reported employment histories of these men, I seriously doubt they were capable of dropping more than a few Benjamins on the international arms market. One guy reportedly works at Wal-Mart. One is reportedly unemployed. One recently took a leave of absence from his job as a steakhouse cook, according to his mother.
Oh and one more thing. The suspected ring-leader, James Cromitie admitted to a federal judge, he smoked marijuana before heading out to plant what he thought was 74 pounds of plastic explosives. Sounds like he was about as disciplined about his terror as Cheech and Chong.
I point all this out, only to highlight one trend worth watching in the Justice Department's continuing effort to infiltrate terror cells. FBI informants often provide all the resources, many of the suggestions, and nearly all the logistical support for the very terror plots the agency claims to bust.

Glad to hear you are coming to your senses and you realize that 911 was done exactly like we all watched, three planes flying into buildings. I dont know what your reference is to the hippies, but I am sure they must have thought they were breaking the law. Could I make a guss and say maybe the cookies were full of hash or something? Yea, noone saw the plane actually hit the pentagon. The FBI is so very trustworthy. Way back when J Edgar Hoover was blackmailing Eleanor Roosevelt with her illegally obtained nude pictures. Or when they were tapping phones left and right, oh wait, that's right now.

Nobody would hate us and want to harm us if our gov would do the right thing and lead by example. If they did the right things for our country instead of choosing what is right for us maybe terror attacks would not happen.
It's hard to want to kill the people of a country when they are nice and generous to all others around the world.
It's hard to want to harm any people who set good examples and are peaceful and prevent war.
It's hard to want to harm a gov and their people when they stay in their own country and mind their own business.
The gov and their policies make things worse. They are the cause and catalyst for terrorism. That is it and nothing more.

I guess it is a reasonable enough assumption to say that since we all saw two planes fly into the world trade center that it was probably a plane that hit the pentagon, since there is video of a plane flying into the front of the building. I am sure there are things the FBI has done wrong, just like every other large org. There is always a handful of people who are going to abuse their power in one way or another, but it doesnt mean they just go around making up everything because instead of being a law enforcement agency they are really just a bunch of really good novelilsts.

Who did the Branch Davidians ever kill? They were a weird perverted cult, yes. Stockpiling guns, probably legally, yes. The FBI fired the first shot, and tossed in indcediary devices. I would have played obnoxious music from giant speakers, then flooded the joint with tear gas if all else failed. But burn the bugger down? The FBI has its function and I am sure that they have solved a great many murders and other high crimes. But they have overstepped their bounds far too often and have murdered innocent civilians on American soil with no accountability or oversight. And to make the small leap to setting up some dirt poor black dudes from the Bronx on a terrorism rap to make the news, yes, I beleive it.
