All be it this guy is a criminal but he gave up running and lay on the ground waiting to be arrested, the cop ran round and sqaure kicked him on the head for no reason, the guy in the helicopter was shocked and said " well........hes just kicked him on the shoulder "

makes me sick, truly does, complete disregard for human life, are police officers being told they are aloud to do this because it seems to be happening more and more and coming to light more and more but yet nothing is being done about it yet!! whats up with that!

peace and love to all xx

May want to find a different video to link to, that one has some stuff surrounding it that's against the T&C's.

Yeah... I was a little bit shocked, at first I thought *that* was a snake attacking a woman at the beach.

Like Chris Rock said on one of his shows

" If the police have to chase you, you know they're gonna bring and asswhooping with them"..

Big clue, give up first and don't run.

If I was that cop I would have kicked his ass a little bit harder, He was running from the cops most likely was endagering other peoples lifes, whould you prefer the kid glove treatment to these criminals?

You people are shocked by this? You should other nations police forces like oh Germany were they beat you for not taking a DUI breath test and use the blood sample.

This guy had just lead the police on a 30 minute chase through heavy traffic, going down one way streets, endangering innocent people. The adrenalin level gets pretty high during these episodes, which is why you often see cops swarming over a suspect and a few fist or sticks flying.
While I don't think the officer was correct in his actions, I understand how and why it happens.
Some of you who personally know some cops need to go talk to them over a beer and ask them about the stress levels and the emotional ups and downs these guys go through.

The guy commits a crime, then flees in a high speed chase endangering the cops and every person on the road, causes public property damage, finally gets cornered and thinks he can just lay down and nothing will happen to him? All the stuff the perp did and the cop makes you sick to your stomach??? It does not surprise me that you linked from the huffingtonpost.

For who the cop or the guy who was running? The guy who was running from the cops is probably out on bail already even though he was running, resisting arrest, driving on the wrong side of the road in effort to get away, endangering the lives of others while driving on the wrong side of the road, and was being held for possible parole violation. The cop who kicked him will obviously be placed on leave while they investigate. I understand his frustration but there was no call for him to kick the guy in the head. The second cop who hit him with the night stick did so because the guy was trying to keep him from getting his arm, understandably since he just got kicked in the head, so I doubt anything will be done to him. The cop who kicked him needs to be fired. There was no call for that.

Did you really have to post that drivel twice? Clearly the 2 wrongs make a right school is still churning out converts,

OHhhhhh so It's all right that the criminal put many people's lives in danger by leading a high speed chase, right? The cop should've done more than kick this peice if S***; He's lucky I wasn't the officer!!!!

Hmmm, so because someone does something wrong, it's OK to kick them in the head, torture and beat them, even kill them?

Do people still not see the irony in the death penalty? "We" think killing is wrong, so we're going to execute you?

This planet really has no hope does it.

this is the US we have more rights in this country than others do. as far as hitting a suspect if he is fighting then what ever froce needed to do the job is fine. but once they stop the cops should also stop. so if some one is laying on the ground arms spread wide not fighting no need to kick them or beat them no matter what may have happened before he stopped.

now that being said, i think some cops not all of them but some of them are on a power trip. they think that i'm johnny law and i can do what ever i want and theres nothing a suspect can do about it because i have the power of the law and pen on my side.

and then theres those whos adrenalin gets going so much that they find it hard to stop.
