Mike, I have to wholeheartedly disagree with you there.

Whether I can define who is or who isn't, is irrelevant, but there are a lot of people here on ATS who are employed by the Federal Government, Law Enforcement Officers, and other various agencies, who are just interested in knowing things for personal reasons.

The problem with this is, of course, those same said places they work for monitor some of their activities, to make sure they aren't exposing information to the public, as well as becoming "traitors" to their nation.

As well as that this is an international forum, this comes into the mix as well, since Foreign Government employees are on the boards for the same reasons as the United States Federal employees, and you get some mixture of multiple countries on here as well.

And, I happen to know for a fact, not a guess at all, that there are certain groups who watch any message boards, not just ATS, for information leaking from both sides, to recruit potential informed individuals, and to see who they may need to silence, by any means necessary.

If anyone on ATS has read any of my threads or posts, I investigate what I talk about, and I've read enough on this very topic specificially, through various sources, to know about it.

No, I'm not now, nor have I ever been a "Disinformation Agent", nor will I ever become one.

That was my disclaimer for the U2U's I'm sure I will get immediately after posting this particular post.

That made me laugh
Its funny cos its true.

Really though, people are being called disinfo agents when they are realisticly info agents. Just because tthey dont agree with peoples conspiracy theories and try to provide a little fact to the conversations does not make them hired by the goverment to derail things.

Thanks for the link. Maybe this was set up to only monitor other Countries and plots against the Air Force.

The link says;

The Navy invited a group of bloggers to embed with them on a humanitarian mission to Central and South America, last summer. Military blogger Michael Yon recently traveled to Afghanistan with Defense Secretary Robert Gates and "focus on the most-used sites related to the Air Force."

There are several active Air force guys on ATS but wouldnt suspect them of being an agent. Do you or others??

What exactly are we attempting to accomplish with this thread? Are we attempting to reveal who, exactly is a disinfo. agent on ATS? If so, that would be a worthwhile cause, but I don't think that simply telling them to stop is going to make it happen. Still, a discussion worth thread nonetheless.

Intrepid, long time ATS mod stated that he is POSITIVE there are disinfo. agents here, at least on the 9-11 forums. I'll take his word for it. I don't believe he would make a statement that definitive if he couldn't back it up.

That's very true, and it can be near impossible to know if someone truly is in the military or not. Then it becomes a matter of trust. If someone says they are, then I tend to believe them until it's proven otherwise. Especially here where anyone who says they are or have been in the military tend to take a lot of flack for it.

What I meant when I referenced the chart though, is those who are going to forums and correcting what they know or perceive to be incorrect information about the Air Force are supposed to disclose that they are part of it. Not just jump into threads, tell everyone they are wrong, and go on their merry way. When they disclose that they are in the Air Force, they are being open and honest about it (presumably) and aren't really spreading disinfo.

Mind you, they don't have to be US agents. Remember the influx of Chinese members we had during the Beijing Olympics? Where are they now?

SkepticOverlord is the only one that can check u2us. He does so when there is an accusation of illegal activity or someone is being harassed via u2u. Those things have to be checked before any action is taken.

Monitoring u2us? Impossible. I send/receive over 200 a week and that's just one member of over 11,000 that post on a monthly basis.

Well duh.
You don’t have to repeat the question.
This is a forum and if you didn’t understand the answer the first time you can just flip back a page to the post that you quoted where I very clearly answered the question the first time..
Why the hell does the fact that they admitted it back in January have any relevance?
I do thank you for the link. Their copy is much easier to read.
Though it doesn’t explain why the people (yourself included) presenting it as some kind of evidence of evil deeds didn’t bother to read the damned thing.
And you try to infer that I’M lazy?

As to your next post, I don’t know why they would try to counter positive comments.
Now THAT would truly be a waste of tax dollars.

But the pentagon admitted there are paid people to be in forums.

Hardly just the Pentagon. Look at all the shills for obama, the democrats, iran, muslims, etc. etc. that post here to try and deflect any thread critical to their cause.

Edit to add:

Now if someone could show me how to get paid for posting my opinions ...

Unfortuanetly thats EXACTLY the way it goes, except without the J/K and laughing smiley face.
I've been accused myself.
If you have enough snap to understand the evidence and explain away the BS and it's counter to the Truther religion, then you MUST be a DA.

Good point. If it's the Chinese they are probably loving these threads about about the US is toast and the Chinese have global power now.

That's kind of a creepy thought. The most powerful communist country checking ATS to see global fears and what makes us tick.

That would make sense if they were highly intelligent and spoke English and interested in our military.

I havent seen any top secret air force conspiracies though. I wonder what they would theoretically be looking for.

If they are on here they get very defensive when we call them crooks. I wonder if this will stir things up. Maybe the will send out another war ship.

Yep. In fact I post on many other forums (fora) about many other subjects. It seems to me more like you just had to post something negative about me (again). :shk:

Oh, and was there something incorrect about what I said?

Question - How many people posting here will lose their "posting" jobs when the SHTF and they are not paid to be disinfo agents anymore?

I have often wondered the last few days, how many people who post on ATS to be disinfo agents and trolls will be losing their jobs, when the govt. doesn't have money to pay them anymore?

1st, why would they stop posting in the first place? You imply that people who would otherwise be "believers," post disinformation for money. In my estimation, if there are 'disinfo agents' on ATS, they would be of the same mind regardless of compensation. These aren't "pollsters" or "mouthpieces." Any government/PTB employee or representative could be tasked with posting things to various sittes in addition to their regular duties.

2nd, the government doesn't have any money right now, so what difference will a couple months make? All they have to do is what the military and contractors did during "Reductions in Force" (RIFs) in the past before the base-closure and revitalization movement: increase workloads/job descriptions to make up for lost personnel. I don't see any coming DECREASE in government employment, anyway.

Isn't the 'stimulus' supposed to INCREASE government employment/contracts?

3rd, if disinfo is being posted/sponsored by OTHER governments, or NGOs (TPTB, Chinese, Bilderbergers, Pleiadians), then the U.S. government's fiscal abilities are irrelevant!

In fact, I would expect outside agencies to STEP-UP their disinfo efforts when our shields are down, the CIA is scared and chastised, and the DHS is focused inward on citizens, rather than on outside threats.

Bottom line is, you're not likely to see any changes in disinfo, to the extent it exists, solely for economic reasons, anytime soon.

I know for a fact the govt. does that ... and have disinfo posted, besides combat threads with truth.

Without naming names, can you give us a few examples of "paid disinfo agents that try and derail threads all the time?"

Please list 2 or 3 thread topics, and the type of (or quoted) responses you consider "disinfo ... that ... derail threads all the time."

You are not saying that pointing out the truth, e.g., that 'bright object' is Venus; or asking for "proof" when it is offered/suggested, e.g. "I have incontrovertible proof that ... ;" (and not given) is 'disinfo' or 'derailing,' are you?

Reply to post by argentus

I swear on my soul ... that I am not paid to write disinformation ... or a disinfo agent.

Since 'disinfo agents' probably have no "soul," or have already sold it, your vow is worth nothing.

In fact, you are awfully eager to disavow responsibility, aren't you?! Plausible deniability? Your eagerness to so 'swear' likely makes you very suspect to anyone at ATS who believes there are disinfo agents posting here!

Deny ignorance.

... here is one thread, with proof of paid agents from a chart - but I will find more -

www.abovetopsecret.com...

there is a link in the OP to the chart here: freespeech.vo.llnwd.net...

The 'USAF' flow chart is not "proof" of disinfo. It may be proof of a protocol for posting pro-USAF info. In fact, one version of the chart was shown to be a re-creation or photoshop of what might be a true document; but not disinfo nonetheless

That chart was thoroughly hashed out in the original thread and it is definitely NOT proof of disinfo.
