Suprising to see an article as lengthy(more than 2 lines) as this on CNN. With more and more credible(former astronauts) sources coming out with statements like these its only a matter of time before somewhat, full disclosure comes to the forefront. If anything it's definitely gonna grab more attention to the general public.

This is beginning to become somewhat regular now. But is anybody listening. I agree this was a better article than most. However it still hinges on what Mitchell was told, unfortunatly it's not about what he saw himself.

Edgar Mitchell has been saying this for years. Last summer he did a radio interview stating the same thing. There was a big thread about it here on ATS. Lets see some proof from Edgar, now that would be news.

I doubt that disclosure will happen in our lifetime. Not from the humans that know what's going on anyway. I'm sure eventualy Et's will just land and say hello, but were a bit far off from that.

I am sure the MSM are busy discrediting this guy, perhaps prolonged drug abuse or an alcohol problem is what they will blame this on.

Sad, but it is good that we have credible people coming out and talking about this stuff, it just saddens me that it tok this long.

If the ptb, just let him go on and on, everyone will just assume it's just some old man murming around about aliens. Thus making him a big joke.

How do you propose these austronauts come up with evidence which was taken away from them?....

Not only that how many either have said we were not alone or made odd statements?

Not just the Apollo Astronauts, Gemini not to mention somethings that have come from the Russian AKA Former Soviets. etc. What about that statement earlier in the month from South America regarding disclosure.

Of all the interviews that Dr. Mitchell ever did I don't remember him ever saying that he had evidence that was confiscated. He often talks about what other people have seen or heard but has never came right out and said I personally witnessed an alien being or space craft.

Don't get me wrong I respect Dr. Mitchell and believe him but without proof there really is nothing to this story but more hearsay.

Man isn't it enough that we have astronauts of all people coming forward with this sort testimony? Proof from Edgar Mitchell? Christ these guys could go on CNN with a friggin Gray and you skeptics would still scream "hoax"

We're getting to closer and closer to disclosure and I think that makes some of you skeppies mad, just enjoy the trickle of info coming out and put your dogs away.

You know why he does this? because NASA still pays his pension and as long as he doesn't "cross the line" it's still safe now as he gets older watch and see how much of this " I heard" info becomes "I saw"

I wonder what his financial status is at this point?

I'm not saying he is lying, but could it just possibly be that he is saying all this now, because there is money to be made?

He didn't go on to say what he thinks makes the universe so "wondrous," and blah, blah, blah....a few more details would have been nice.

Just imagine how much money he could be making at speaking engagements, and so forth.

His timing is impecable!

I don't feel that he's doing any of this for the money, or fame. The man was an astronaut for crisakes he gets a NASA pension and I bet it's not "chump change" either.

Just because he is getting a pension, doesn't mean he isn't living past his means, which is easy to do.

And yeah, he was an astronaut. He's only one of a very few who does know what happens in space. Nobody else knows for sure.......just saying!

Well we can speculate on the man's motives all we want, but wouldn't it be better to attempt to study the information he puts out and try to seperate the wheat from the chaff?

Someone really needs to put all of these important statements from respected people together. Into 1 big piece and start getting it shown about. Bring more attention to it. Like massive attention. Get it into the media as 1 big article.

It seems that Mitchell doesn't know more than the average ATS reader interested in UFOs:

Taking questions following his presentation, Mitchell told Cape Cod Today that his beliefs as expressed this morning about extraterrestrial involvements with humanity on Earth are drawn from information generally available to those who study the field of alleged "ET-UFO" events and experiences, citing no "secret information" to which he has been privy. He also contradicted some other presenters at X-Conference 2009, who claimed that Mitchell and the other NASA astronauts were briefed before their space flights about potential encounters with UFOs of an extraterrestrial nature and how to handle or disguise them from the public. He said unequivocally that this did not occur.

Exactly! Since we don't know what happened while he was up there, I can say, I'm just not taking his word for it. Since he, and only a few more actually know what goes on, how do you plan to separate the wheat from the chaff? Are you going to base your belief just on his words (and others)
alone?

Alls I have to say is Mitchell could walk into CNN holding hands with an alien and singing skip to my loo and people would STILL be skeptical. Its just a costume or some other excuse. Its pretty naive to think that out of ALL of space that we are it. That's arrogance.
