I myself feel that MSNBC is as much a tool of the Elite as Fox, they're biased according to these imaginary labels we use. Liberal and Conservative, Republican and Democrat, right and left wing, they're just words used to keep us bickering amongst ourselves while we're further screwed out of our money and freedoms by a parasitic System...

Amen to that brother. I couldnt have said it better myself. Also the other guy in one of the post about said he has had it with the Republicans and the Democrats. That is where I am at as well. They are all full of ....

The only thing that I think can work is forming new political parties and amend the constitution so they have to balance the books whether they want to or not. That and put a limit on what percent of our income can be taxed by all of government. I say 20% should be it. That is twice more than what God asks for

By the way thanks for the link and bringing it up in the first place. It is interesting and I see a little of what they mean. IMO all the politicians manipulate the truth to get elected and get their agenda passed. I think we just need to find a way to put better people in office. There are good people in this country. Maybe they should only let garbage men run for office.

Who creates jobs that actually produce a profit and a net benefit for society... Private business or government?

Do you know that 12% of the nation is employed by the federal government. That doesnt even count state and local government. Dont you see anything wrong with that. 12% of people who produce absolutely nothing. 12% just to get in the way of the remaining percent trying to accomplish something.

I'd love a smaller government. Let's start by firing all the military people. Then we could do away with the FBI. And the EPA, that's a waste of money.

You seem to be contradicting yourself..........are you for or against smaller government? If you are for smaller government then you should know that Obama and his people are making government BIGGER and getting them even more involved in the private sector........And then you say that the conservatives dont care about the constitution.......

Are you even aware that the liberals in office have stated publicly that they will not let the 2nd amendment get in their way of gun registration?

Thats flat out saying that it doesnt matter what the constitution says they are going to do it anyway, it may seem small to you, but its one thing then it will be another and another and another, its the principle of the thing.

I think you need to do some research into your own party. But then again thats just my opinion

I really like outlandish answers like yours. They make you test the limits of your thinking.

Your plan would work in shrinking the government. Getting rid of the military would get rid of the EPA and the FBI as well. This is due to the fact that if we didnt have a military we would get taken over. This would solve it all. No more Congress, President, Military (US at least), FBI, or EPA.

I dont mean to contradict myself. Sorry if I did.

Let me be clear:
I am for smaller government.

I never said anything about conservatives not caring about the constitution. Maybe you could point that out for me.

I am all for gun ownership and the 2nd amendment, even though I dont remember saying anything about guns on this thread until now. I beleive we should be able to have any kind of weapons we want, except maybe nukes and chemical weapons. The whole 2nd amendment is there so we can protect ourselves from the government if it ever goes astray. Who wouldnt be for that. Our forefathers were doing us a favor and thinking ahead.

Hope this clears up my views for you. If you point out where I contradict myself i will go back and fix it. Dont want to confuse anyone.

Youll find those answers typical of people in the liberal mindset, evade, dodge, make talking points statements, regurgitate things even if its not true........but most of all deflect.........im not bashing all liberals , just the ones who refuse to educate themselves on whats goin on with our country........and no im not a bush lover, i was extremely pissed off with what he did too.......i weigh the facts, i get my info from many conventional and non conventional news sources........i actually DO the work to be educated about whats going on in my country, regardless of party lines.........because its about our country, not about being left or right.........you could learn something Gawd

As a retired USN E-7, I agree with you. But it would lead to smaller government, as you point out. Until somebody came in and gave us a new one.

Well you can make government smaller without getting rid of the military. Lets start by getting rid of the post office workers. FedEx and UPS and others would do a fine job of taking over this work, and they would make money instead of loose money.

That is 615,000 people off the federal payroll in one move.

I've pointed these out before, and they usually get ignored, but what the hell, I'll try again. Here's some examples of leaked memos from FOX "news":

On President Bush: "His political courage and tactical cunning are worth noting in our reporting through the day." (6/03/03)

On the war in Iraq: "Do not fall into the easy trap of mourning the loss of US lives and asking out loud why are we there? The US is in Iraq to help a country brutalized for 30 years protect the gains made by Operation Iraqi Freedom and set it on the path to democracy. Some people in Iraq don't want that to happen. That is why American GIs are dying. And what we should remind our viewers."

Source for both of the above: mediamatters.org...

Here's Olberman talking about one of my favorite leaked FOX memos:

OLBERMANN: Speaking of campaigning, the smoking gun, in how news is altered for political purposes at Fox News Channel. “Let‘s be on the lookout,” its senior vice president instructs his troops in a leaked daily memo, “for any statements from the Iraqi insurgents, who must be thrilled at the prospect of a Dem-controlled Congress.”

The fact Fox News supported the Bush Administration as Bush and his criminal cronies eroded away our freedoms and all but voided the Constitution might have something to do with it.

Why do so many people on ATS thnk Fox News is a conspiracy for the right wing to manipulate us? I dont see how its anymore of a right wing conspiracy then MSNBC is a left wing conspiracy. I dont think either is true. They may have a certain leaning, but it is up to us to decide whether they are right or wrong. They cant make us believe something just by saying it.

Unfortunately, they can. Fox is a major media network, and millions believe they are receiving unbiased news reporting. For example, just by repeating something over and over they can manipulate millions into believing it's the truth. Or by showing that their is a consensus on a topic being discussed amongst a panel of their guests, they can manipulate the larger public into believing it to be the only logical thing to believe in.

On top of this, they use Neuro Linguistic Programing techniques all the time to manipulate people on a subconscious level. This is not a pseudo science or some kind of mysticism, its 100 percent science. Please watch this video to understand how Fox news manipulates its viewers into adopting their ideas.

I don't know anything about that.

But I do know about some reporters on FOX who sued mgt for lying!!!!!!!And they LOST the case, the judge said there was no law against lying to the public!!!!

I'm sure there's a remnant of that article still around if you search for it.

Sources please. A blanket statement such as that should be posted without the appropriate links to prove what you said.
