Why do so many people on ATS thnk Fox News is a conspiracy for the right wing to manipulate us? I dont see how its anymore of a right wing conspiracy then MSNBC is a left wing conspiracy. I dont think either is true. They may have a certain leaning, but it is up to us to decide whether they are right or wrong. They cant make us believe something just by saying it.

The right wing in this country is absolutely mad. That worries some people.

Great answer. Well then I say if you represent the left wing in this country then the left wing is mad.

okay, watch Outfoxed, what they show in that movie cannot be said for MSNBC or CNN.

Too much Racism on Fox News

Lol, IT'S OWN BY MURDOCH LOL

there's evidence that they don't report the news
sources have said this news may very well be untrue, don't report it
fox news reported it anyhow

Bill O'Reilly said if you don't agree with the u.s. military then you should shut up. Who else says that?

I dont know what outfoxed is.. can you tell me about it?

I have never heard anything racist on fox news, maybe I missed it. Can you give me some examples.

What is wrong with Rupert Murdoch?

Bill O'Reilly is a commentator so his show is not really news.. just his opinion.

To be honest I have seen way more manipulation of the news by the folks on MSNBC, especially during the election. They were so biased toward Obama they couldnt even hide it. Not that I think it is a conspiracy. I just figure that is their view. Sometimes they are right, sometimes they are wrong.

Frustrating when people don't answer your questions, isn't it? I just thought I'd share the love.

Anyway, after 8 years without a president, the US is starting to look to the future, instead of the past. That bothers the right wing. You know, the guys who jump up and down and scream, "lower taxes (for me)", and "less government (for me)". It was the right, after all, that dreamed up "deregulation", that golden gift to the big money guys?

Honestly FOX is just as bad as all the others, and vice versa. It doesnt matter what news source you ask about MSM or otherwise even the non mainstream news sources are biased towards whatever their own personal agenda is. It has more than anything to do though with the fact that very often FOX tends to spin, that is they will take a rumour or a piece of information that would be detrimental to their cause and they bring on "experts" and "insider's" who supposedly are in the know, really theyre just on the payroll, and they spin whatever the information might be they start off by saying thing's such as "some doubt has been shown on blahblah" or "some experts are calling into question blahblah" and they , quite quickly at times, turn this piece of non existant or detrimental information into a piece of "fact" as in they take something from being untrue to making viewers believe it's true they also tend to make other news channels fall in behind them because of how aggresive they are.

We had a president for the last 8 years before Obama. His name was George W. Bush. I am sure you remember it because I bet you spent the last 8 years compalining about him. There is nothing wrong with lower taxes or less regulation. Deregulation is fine as long as you build in checks and balances and harsher penalties for abusing the system, which they failed to do. It is easily fixed.

Some people would say that over taxation and over regulation actually created this mess. I think you could make a reasonable case either way.

I think ALL news sources do this. Maybe intentionally or maybe not. Reporters are human and so they are going to have certain preconceived notions that is going to bend their story in certain directions. Its human.

The deregulation that started under Reagan got us into this mess. It seems the only ones that didn't have a "bank" was the Seven Elevens. People who scream about too much government oversight should look carefully at where we are now to see why it's needed.

I would say it was redistribution of wealth and big government that FDR started that got us into this mess. Allowing government to interfere with personal responsibility and try to shield us from our mistakes is what creates this kind of mess.

Do yourself a big favor and don't go down this road with liberals. They know everything about everything. You'll have better luck pushing a rope.

How anyone can watch the MSM and then turn around and complain about FOX is beyond me. If they spent even a small amount of time investigating the shows they back, and then (and here's the kicker) were HONEST about thier results, they would'nt have another thing to say.

How they (liberals, MSM) can even hold thier head up after the way they behaved to get Obama elected tells you the kind of character you're dealing with.

Try this experiment. Listen to what a liberal (progressive, yeah right) says. Now reverse it. THAT is exactly what they mean.

I'm not any happier with the republicans anymore either.

The fact Fox News supported the Bush Administration as Bush and his criminal cronies eroded away our freedoms and all but voided the Constitution might have something to do with it.

I myself feel that MSNBC is as much a tool of the Elite as Fox, they're biased according to these imaginary labels we use. Liberal and Conservative, Republican and Democrat, right and left wing, they're just words used to keep us bickering amongst ourselves while we're further screwed out of our money and freedoms by a parasitic System...

I found it on youtube. I am listening to it as a type. I am 51 minutes into it. To me it just seems kind of a bunch of people who have a different political view than Bill O'Reilly. I dont realy care for Bill either but I realize it is his opinion. It is not news. It is totally biased. But there are opinion shows on all news channels that are biased in one direction or the other. I can say I dont let Bill O'Reilly make up my mind about a topic.

I guess I am just saying what they are doing at fox is no different than CNN or MSNBC. I figure they are probably each targeting certain demographics in order to make a profit. It is up to us to filter what is right or wrong or to turn the channel.

Ah yes, much better to let big business do as it wishes, that way the rich get richer, which seems to be the purpose of the Gross Old Party.
