I must say this is a very beneficial thread. Starting with thread person can examine lot of docs., and find the thruth. Thus I have studied and researched Q'uran. I compared the information given at www.speed-light.info/islam with Q'uran. Every word in that web site is wrong. They either misinterpreted, what they read in Q'uran or they did it on purpose. This, I couldn't understand. Briefly, everybody (the ones interested in Islam, of course) should know this: Islam is religion of logic, reality and positive science. Islam and its book Holly Q'uran don't tell stories.
Also, in Q'uran, it mentiones that there isn't any other beings, ET living on any planet. It tells about heaven, hell, satan, angels, some spiritual beings. I hope this would cover some of you questions.

Other beings/"ET", are new terms in the past century. You could speculate that heaven, hell, satan, angels (Especially), and spiritual beings are those "ETs" they don't mention. Just my two cents.

The reason I wrote 'Islam is religion of logic, reality and positive science. Islam and its book Holly Q'uran don't tell stories.' is because, I wanted to emphasize that if Allah would wanted to mention ET's, he could have easily said ET. Allah always wants us to know only the truths about Islam, and earth, and universe. It is something like this: Don't assume, read research and find the solid truth.

IMO the story of Gog and Magog in the Quran, and also the bible, is basically the same as the story of the Tower of Babel...

In the context of the bible, Gog and Magog are refered to as the four corners of THIS EARTH...

When the dam is broken is meant to represent a time when mankind will pass freely and quickly among the four corners.

Same with the Tower of Babel... When mankind is communicating under a common language under a single Government... all hell will break loose.

While yes, I believe that ET did, in fact, influence our religion, I think people should be aware of what the prophecies in fact are.

The ET civilizations, having seen all of these sociological progressions in their very own history books, are warning the early man here on Earth of what is to come to pass...

Apparently the prophecies are nothing more than an attempt to warn man not to befall the same tragedies they themselves endured.

But yeah, all the bad stuff is about to happen.

Yes that's how I've read about it too.

But who knows this "wall" could mean anything including something outside our planet?

The "Qur'an" and the "Koran" are two different books. OP is obviously ignorant about the subject matter.

The verses seem to be off-by-one in this translation of the Qur'an (at alislam.org):

Chapter 65: Al-Talaq ("divorce")

[65:13] Allah is He Who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The divine command comes down in their midst, that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah encompasses all things in His knowledge.

Chapter 42: Al-Shura ("counsel")

[42:30] And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and of whatever living creatures He has spread forth in both. And He has the power to gather them together when He pleases.

Chapter 70: Al-Ma`arij ("the ascending stairway")

[70:4] It is from Allah, Lord of great ascents.

[70:5] The angels and the Spirit ascend to Him in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years.

Apparently alislam.org translates "المعَارج" (al-ma'eriji) as "ascending staircase" (the great instance of ascension) and translates the word " تَعْرُجُ" (ta'ruju) as "they ascend." Translating it specifically as an "ascending staircase" seems kinda fishy, though, because there is a Masonic story of an ascending staircase.

The Yagog and the Magog are not referenced in Chapter 17: al-Isra' ("the night journey")
Instead, they are referenced in Chapter 18: Al-Kahf ("the cave")

[18:94] Until, when he [Moses] reached the place between the two mountains, he found beneath them a people who would scarcely understand a word.

[18:95] They said, ‘O Dhu’l Qarnain, verily, Gog and Magog are creating disorder in the earth; shall we then pay thee tribute on condition that thou set up a barrier between us and them?’

"Yagog and Magog" are يَاْجُوْجَ وَمَاْجُوْجَ (Yajooja wa Majooja). The "g" sound is used in mostly in Egypt. Everywhere else it's pronounced like the "j" in French. The "oo" sounds like "cool."

The rest of the chapter doesn't say that they teleported, rather that blocks of iron were placed in the valley between two mountains where they waited, to bar them away from the Bani Isra'il (children of Israel). The Israelis blew their horns, and the blocks of iron turned to red fire while molten copper (lead?) rained over the Yagog and Magog. They couldn't climb or dig out of the catastrophe, and they certainly did not teleport out. The provided link makes an inference that there were two dams -- one being physical and the second being metaphysical. This is wrong. The two dams were simply on the interior of the two mountainsides which made up the valley.

Do wormholes function by lifting people vertically?

Sorry no offence, but what I meant was "ET" is a new word, so I don't see how "Allah" could have just said that. Interpretations or titles were much different 3-4k+ years ago no? In the time period "Angels" could be what we now call ETs. This isnt totally relevant to OP, but I just wanted to show my point Aysekaly, that its possible to speculate on what heaven, hell, angels, really are, as meanings change dramatically over time, and as new meanings develop and overlap the old.

For the OP --

Mike, not sure if this runs afoul of your premise, I'm not trying to go off-topic. But, I do remember seeing something somewhere else here at ATS about a 'StarGate' - like device currently in use today. As I recall, the assertion is there is a room, that one can enter whilst on Earth, and emerge on Mars.

That would pretty well describe 'something' like a wormhole, seems.

This pre-supposes a lot, I know. But, from reading this (excellent) thread it struck me how an ancient people could possibly have seen such technology in action, and, well....as people tend to do, 'embellished' a bit??

Just tuppence for any thoughts.

Now if someone can describe the importance of magnetism in creating (theoretically) a wormhole...now that would be interesting.

That is a very creative thought Perhaps a magnetic zero point energy device would produce some bizarre side effects.

Kinda a disconnect in the continuum.

I grew up in a southern fundamentalist baptist church. Needless to say I am now "unbrained washed". I have because of this read the Bible literally 100's of times. A few years ago there was a commercial on tv by an Islamic group giving away copy's of the Koran. I read it and was really blown away. It has a lot of simular information as the bible and unlike the Bible it doesn't contridict itself. Lots of very technical info in the Koran though. Good article S&F

The "four corners" are representive of the Earth in its entirety. "Jesus stood on a high hill (ufo) and saw all the corners of the Earth."

In reality, this is written by men hundreds of years removed from the event. If there was any merit in this story, it mentions Jesus being on high and seeing the entirety of the Earth. While one could say it is more literal and simply means he was on a very high peak... I'm not so sure.

The Tower of Babel story speaks of a time when everyone on the Earth shared a common language. And then all hell broke loose, people were "cast down" and thrown back to a time when they had no technology anymore and had to develop individual languages.

"And from here on you shall war amongst yourselves because of your language barriers" (paraphrase of a biblical passage in modern context)
As the story suggests, now that they have a global identity, their next step is to become like us (the gods)...
This also draws parallel in the creation story...

Yeah, ET influenced our religion. Hell, the stories say it... explicitly.

Some who subscribe to the beliefs in the bible believe the ET movement is actually demon inspirations as a means to discredit belief in God denying Gods existence. It apears obviouse that more and more people are questioning Gods existance.

So if the OP is suggesting that the Qua-ran is inspired by ET's......then some believe it is demon inspired.

As most of you know Dearborn Michigan has the largest Arabic population outside of the Middle-east.

Now with that being said an interesting book showed up on my doorstep as well as every other neighbor on my street, yes in Dearborn.

The Book is the Quran.

A note was enclosed it reads "Dear neighbor, please accept the enclosed book as a free gift from the Muslim community."

It was translated by the very best arabic scholars in the world from what I am told.

The 70.3 passage did not match the Quran I have.

This is an interesting read, Mike.

I have a few thoughts to add here (and will preface that by saying i have read the whole thread, but am about to begin cross referencing the links provided as well).

Firstly, consider the OP image:

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/bed4cbb70035.jpg[/atsimg]

in the context of classical concepts, such as "The Birth Of Venus":

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/a47d2984cbe1.jpg[/atsimg]

Secondly, consider classical meanings of the symbology, and what may drive it. In classical time, an oyster shell symbolized a womans vulva. Why is this so?

In classical antiquity, the sea shell was a metaphor for a woman's vulva.[3]

en.wikipedia.org...(Botticelli)" target="_blank" class="postlink" rel="nofollow"> en.wikipedia.org...(Botticelli)

Finally, I would like to remind those who may have forgotten, Islamic nations struggling to keep pace with the rest of the world is a relatively new occurence. There was a time when Islamic nations were on the cutting edge of science, and had achieved many of the basic things necessary to develop our modern society.

The Library of Alexandria sat in Muslim lands, and was much searched out by the greatest minds that the world had at that time (and, some would argue, that the world had ever known).
