But thats ok no loss here. No one will try to convince you otherwise about this game. Those of us who didnt need but a fraction of a second to clearly see the imoralities of it dont need to convince others of our opinion.

Erm no you are truly confused. Go and check back and see what i have said about my opinion of the game itself. I believe it is utterly disgusting, without merit and completely against my own moral code.

Your insinuation that i will enjoy the game is unfounded and an obvious attempt to attack my character (again) instead of the points made. I don't need anyone here to convince me how horrible this game is when i myself believe it to be utterly disgusting.

Of course I am against rape and all, but I'm also against murder.

How can people say this rape game is any worse than the thousands of games where you shoot, stab, bomb, punch, kit, chop... KILL the fake people?

Would you like it if your mom's likeness and sisters (if you had any) were raped in a game? What if they were raped in real life because some low life fantasized about it in this "game" then went out and did it in real life. Would you still hold the same opinion you do now?

How many kids/adults with mental illnesses (or maybe just some misguided people) play these violent games and then go out and do the acts becuase they cannot tell the difference between real life and a game?

Lets just hope your family, mother, wife don't get gang raped and brutally assulted. Sounds like you need a reality check.

The problem here is we shouldn't be polluting the minds of our children (they'll invariably play these games) or adults with garbage like this. I'm a gamer and have been for many years. There are more than enough other games with interesting things to do where they don't have to brutalize people, especially women and children in a virtual world.

Yes it is worse than murder. Rape is torture to the victim and to their loved ones. If you kill someone, it ends there. If you try to kill someone and they live, they go on with their lives happy that they didn't die... Many rape victims try to kill themselves and affects anyone close to them.

I know many instances where a potential rape victim would risk getting shot and killed at gunpoint than comply and worse.. So there you go, it's worse.

I dont like how you argue your point. you seem discouraging to humanity, at least thats the impression i got. i could go on and on trying to convince you otherwise but that would be an exercise in futility because you seem to be blinded by your fallacies. generally, societies that accept such immoral ideas are quiet corrupt and its social fabric is extremely tainted. take for example Cuba before the revolution when it was ruled by the mafia or Ancient Rome that held gladiator "games" for fun.

japan is a male dominated society so women will conform to whatever the the male trend is, having said that, men should be against such immoral "games" as well, so its not a gender thing. and for the last time its not about the game inspiring acts of violence but what does it say about us when we let something such as that be sanctioned? what to tell your kids next, that its okay to joke about it even though its wrong? that its okay to be entertained by such behavior even though the act itself is wrong? no, its not okay at all.

Have you seen Japan lately? They're having a sort of 60's revolution in parts. Granted it's a few years late but it is there and women are getting more and more comfortable in who they are. It's still repressive in parts of course but the women voicing these games aren't oppressed, they do it because they want to and get paid a fortune. Also as someone else pointed out, voice over work in Japan is a massive industry. They are not being forced or coerced. Also you call these games immoral, well i must admit i don't like this game at all but i understand others do and as long as they don't hurt anyone i have no intention of forcing my morals upon them.

What does it say about us to let this stuff be sold and used by people? I think it says we are a free society where you can do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt someone. I like being free. As for joking about it, well i have heard comedians joke about it and watched entire audiences, women included, laughing. As George Carlin said, it's about where you put the emphasis in the joke. He then went on to make jokes that the entire audience seemed to love.

We allow kids to be entertained by violence and yet we tell them the actual act is not right, we allow kids to watch films where people steal and tell them the actual act is not correct, so why is rape a special case? If you ban one you must ban them all, that's the only fair way to do it. Or allow it all.

This completely disgusts me...

Come on, you really think that this game will really stay in Japan for very long? Think about it, in today's socitity you can't get very far from this topic.
I am really not surprised that some company made a game that involves raping and directing a sex chamber. To me this just makes me sick, even though I was wondering if something like this really existed.
I think that this is where we should draw the line and stop the production of games like this. or even games like Grand Theft Auto, Playboy video games, leisure suit larry games, and this list from Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org... .

I think that this world has gone too far in this direction. If humans don't change their races way this planet will never be able to become of the part of the interplanetary world one day when it comes.

if any women contribute to the making of these games, they would be pornstars or women working in that industry...they dont represent the majority of women. i cant imagine a normal Japanese woman telling her father, husband, kids that she makes rape games. they have to be extremely messed up and vile to make such a game and we certainly arent short of vile people of both genders in this world.
as for why Japanese people arent paying attention to this trend, i figure its because they are so preoccupied with the dramatic changes in their lives, abandoning traditions and all, as well as feeling content in their financial well-being. Hiroshima and world-war 2 also traumatized them to a degree,making them seek a well-adjusted life free of scorn; some backlash. and lets not forget that it wasnt long ago that Japanese army used to take sex slaves with them from every village they invaded.

That is an extremely bold and rather baseless statement. How about you back it up. I can back my statement up because Japan has an absolutely massive voice over industry due to the amount of anime and other things they pump out. Go and check back in the thread as a user listed a great deal of information about it.

These people are doing a voice over job, they are not pornstars or anything else of that nature. You could apply your "logic" to any actor in western films that do a rape scene. Are they also pornstars and represent only a small amount of women? What nonsense. They tell their father, kids and whoever else they are voice over artists, which they are. We see such scenes in movies every day, and on tv. Are these women also pornstars? No they're actors.

These women provide voice over services for anything, especially if they're an unknown artist because the industry is filled with lots of competition and getting any job is seen as good. Just like the western acting industry. Companies go to agencies telling them they need a voice over artist and the type of voice they're after. They then review a great deal of them and choose one. These women are not pornstars (usually), they are not of low moral caliber they are just doing a voice over job.

I'm sorry, apart from the fact that this is rather a pointless thing to say in this thread it should be noted that the Japanese are not alone in taking sex slaves from villages. The UN has been accused of having troops that rape people and they come from a multitude of countries. To think this reflects upon their character when it happened years ago is like saying that the modern English are to be judged by our barbaric treatment of India.Your argument is baseless.

I didn't know about the Chinese controls on pornography. I wonder what the posters here who are against this game being published would think if they knew they're on the same side as the Chinese, a despicable government. You see lots of people talk a fair game about freedom but as soon as something hits their personal principles then freedom doesn't mean anything to them.

I know someone who got raped. They now live a very happy life with great family (close and extended). You think that if this person would have been murdered, everyone would have been BETTER OFF?

To say war games is not really murder is to say rape games isn't really "rape". Therefore, your argument fails.

To note...I think games are games. So the above logic does not apply to me.
