Exactly the sort of responses we have come to expect from ATS, it's a good place to see just how effective the brainwashing is on everybody. It's working so well. The majority of you here are brainwashed and have no idea. Of course you wouldn't have any idea, it works out better for us that way. After all it's not hurting anything at all... Sure it may be addictive, sure it may give you a warped sense of the way the world is, but there isn't anything wrong with watching Porn. I watch porn on a daily basis and I don't have a warped sense of reality.......I treat women as just as if I never would have laid eyes on a porno. I don't let porno affect the way I run my life and I'm sure most people think the same way. I watch porn with the same perception as if I would watch wrestling or a hollywood movie.

So, to those who are listening... What does this look like to you? Looks like there are attempts at eradicating us, or at least thinning the population down. If the drugs don't get us in the name of "help or cure," then we'll kill each other off in the name of "pleasure." People are already choking each other for sexual pleasure; yes, people do sometimes die because of this. And we are taught more and more depraved things are actually "pleasurable." Who knew getting my scrotum sliced open was such a rush? Who knew?

Years ago, you might get thrown in jail for threatening to choke your spouse. Now, it's ok, it's a fantasy. "We love each other so much, we thought we would try choking the air out of each other."

No, today, you go to jail for trying to expose truth. You get thrown in jail for not paying the IRS their questionable taxes. And you might just get wiped off the map if you dare try to market "cheap renewable energy, or free energy." "It gets in the way of profits, and we don't need clean air."

Wow, that's a pretty big brush you used to paint us with! I think everyone can understand your frustration with the amount of know-it-all types and arrogance but to say everyone is like that is a pretty wide shot. It is also quite off the subject of the thread. Will you give everyone a rational argument why porn is bad? Note: I am not taking sides in this debate yet but you would better present yourself with reasoning.

On topic, I asked this earlier but it seems no one really answered, so please forgive the repeat but I think it is relevant to the topic. We know a certain number of these girls get into the porn industry for the money and power. However, where do these 'agents' seem to find all these girls? I mean it seems like, especially in the amateur arena, there are a ton of girls who will do this. Where do these creepy 'agents', web sites etc. find all of these women willing to take it off and do it on camera? There seems to be a never ending supply but its not like these 'jobs' are advertised in the classifieds. Fair points.

But why are people reading so much into it? Why are people juxtaposing porn to the concepts "soulmates" and "trueness" and "spiritualness" and "Godliness" and all that jazz? The two are completely unrelated. On the one hand you have a business that makes money and provides a hugely popular service and on the other, you have the ideals of human intimacy.

No one has said (at least I sure didn't) that porn is a "replacement" for true sexual happiness and growth as a human being. I would never ever recommend replacing human companionship and real intimacy with pornography.

However, so long as no one is being hurt or doing things against their will [ which I suppose is the real debate here] then I have zero problems with porn or how it's used, whether it be a happily married couple looking to stimulate their sex life, the homosexual couple who have adopted a mixed race Down Syndrome child from a former Al-Queda cell, or the vicar and his willing altarboy.

Sure, two people can be "linked as one" and "connected" and "spiritually in touch with their prostate", etc. But to *completely* romanticise the whole sexual process is.. well... mundane in a way. This is why sex is so much fun -- it's still primal, it's still instinctual, animal, basic. It's based on touch, smells, tastes, imagery, etc.

Of course it's wonderful to find that person who you feel completely connected with. But everyone should be smart enough to know that there is no "one" person for each person. There are no "soulmates" - I find that very silly and VERY self-limiting. In a universe filled with so much chaos and randomness, the idea of a set few people seems contradictory to me. You simply find (or not find) someone who is more compatible with you than another. And you feel a connection. And it's great.

But watching porn, or engaging in porn doesn't detract from those things, unless you (not you personally, meadowfairy!) want them to or let them or have a very weak/low opinion of yourself (in in my terms, a low level of energy).

My only real concern with porn is how it distorts some people's expectations in the real world. If you watch it and you can seperate the fantasy from the reality then good for you - no one's judging YOU. It's the sick bastards that recreate these acts with violent intent in the real world (like those soldiers raping those muslim women). If you really stand back and look at all this you will see just how low on the evolutionary scale this kind of mindless enjoyment is. When people evolve into higher humans, more cerebral intimate sex is the goal.
