Well this dosn't seem like it's going to get any better, as Israel is continuing it's attacks we can only hope that both sides come to another cease fire agreement before the loss of life becomes to severe, as though it was not already, my heart goes out to the people on both sides.I hope that civillian casualities are kept to a minimum, the children are in my prayers.

Isnt news propeganda at its finest these days?!

"Israel warplanes (US made fighters) unleashes its deadliest assault (attack). And the phrase.."other targets".

They sure word it with roses and peaches to sweeten it up dont they!

Anyone want to guess what those "other targets" were? How about a school filled with children for starters.

No it isnt going to get any better with the US's non exsistant veto in the UN to get Israel to stop its assault. It just means more innocent people will die.

Exactly. The thing about all this is that the Hamas did do some things to make Israel retaliate from the attacks made upon them. But lets compare the apples to the oranges here.

Seeing how much devistation Israel is capable of..thanks to the US made hardware and funds, is the severity of this devistation taking it way over the keel and completely overtaking the level of "fair is fair" as far as a retaliation is concerned?

Its understandable that Israel would defend itself. But this is not defending anything by any means, it is pure invasion, pure destructive assault and pure aggressive killing on Israel's part.

In simpler terms, how many times must Israel beat the dead horse to kill the horse?

I am by NO MEANS agreeing with the attacks by Israel. I hate war. But hasn't Israel beat that horse many times and it still keeps getting up? When is sanity going to come?

Your right but lets not forget the U.S media which is also a weapon in and of itself, like your analogy above I want to realize all of the things at play here.. I want all the bananas! and your right how many times does the dead horse need to be kicked it's already dead!! I fear the destructive capabilites of Israel in regards to Hamas dosen't Israel posess U.S. tactical nukes?

This is pure speculation.
If this thing continues to escalate there is a good chance that Obama will not take office.
I have been saying for a year or so that something might happen to keep the current administration in power.
God I hope I'm wrong.

I totally agree. There is historical record that clearly shows, what was once called the "PLO" or Palestinian Libration Organization, has done its fair share of instigating the actions by Israel. But there is also historical record that also shows Israel guilty of the same thing, and even record of both refusing to give in at the negotiating table numerous times.

Its a back and forth routine thats been going on for 60+ years and until both sides realize that all this killing isnt resolving anything, we will only see it continue and more innocents on both sides get killed.

Attack...counter attack...bombs, missiles, airstrikes, suicide bombs, mortars, rockets, its all these people seem to only understand..both sides.

What gets me the most, is the innocents, both sides. They are the ones who pay the price of their leader's choices...60 years ago..and today.

Sad...very sad.

Hopefully not after the nucluear fallout has subsided, this is getting out of control fast I mean how long until other nations start getting involved? and the media just like gas on a fire if you ask me, don't they realize they toy with peoples lives?

You are very correct! The media, be it US media, or any other, does tend to add more fuel to a fire that needs to be put out. It is no different today as it was back in the pre WWI and WWII and Korea and Vietnam and Desert Storm and Iraq wars. Media has such a hold on the public opinion and does in fact sway the opinion by simply displaying what it feels should be displayed to sway the bell curve to swing in the favor of the favorite.

What is needed is open minds, clear heads and vigilance. Letting media tell us how to think and how to have an opinion is just as bad as having to be the innocents facing the end of falling bombs and missiles. They dont have any choice...and in effect, we dont either if we allow ourselves to be swayed by media.

The Patriot Act does give Bush the right to declare a national emergency and to which that would give him the power to hault the change over of the administration.

It is possible that could happen.

Well just like you said MSM the s being sheeple, it's sad but some of the "sheeple" are the ones leading the others to the slaughterhouse, right alongside the innocents of this current conflict, the MSM does not allow for individual thought and does infact "guide" the opinion of the watcher or reader to favor the favorite your right, it's a shame that the proaganda of late has stirred so much violence and death.

Did you know that during the US civil war, newspapers did the very same thing that television and radio news do today?! And in other nations, the printed word also had a huge power over the people.

The only thing that has changed is how the manipulation is delivered. In today's world, it doesnt just come from the printed word, it comes from that and video, music, news, radio, posters, banners, advertisements and movies.

The bombardment of manipulation of media is analogus to a bombardment by explosive bombs.
