Sweet irony guys.
Look at the time those quakes started and when this asteroid whizzed by.

Newly-discovered asteroid 2011 CA7 is flying past Earth today only 63,000 miles away, or 1/4th the distance to the Moon. At closest approach around 1930 UT on Feb. 9th, the VW-Bug-sized space rock will zip through the constellation Orion glowing like a 17th magnitude star.

If you want to really learn about the stations, then look at them all.

If your just trying to stay on top of the situation, just read this site and I'm sure someone will post the real thing. If you read all the information provide here and learn how to read the webicorders, you'll be able to when things get going.

The nearest station is YMR, if you're on the regular webicorders. Unless your into technical graphs, then stick with the webicorder. But YMR picks up everything, from everywhere. Watch YMR, use it as a starting point, then check the other stations to see if it's quakes or noise. Even then, it doesn't mean the quake is in the park, then you have to look for a quake that happened elsewhere in the world. And they take varying times to get to the park.

So it all depends on how much you want to know. If you're worried about it erupting, I'm not so worried anymore. The uplift has slowed. And there's been two major swarms which have released energy. It's been really quiet since. Sure a few small swarms here and there. But no major swarms. No really big shallow quakes.

And Puterman sound files sound scarrier than they really are. The snowplow sounded like the four horsemen of the apocolypse leading a stampede of hell demons.

That was nothing. Here Yellowstone says "The Devil" in a demonic voice! - at about 8 seconds.

I have about 13 hours of that seismo now so i will take a further listen.

Mm, you may have a point there if it was electrical, or i should say, in an electric universe but really not enough mass I think. It was only about 4m across.

By the way the sounds are produced using the program I wrote specifically to do that as a result of coming on to ATS.

You can get a little more information here and one or two have the old version, but the new one is much better. It all started with the sounds. You can leave your name if you would like updates on progress. I keep on saying i am going to release it but then I find other things to fix in it.

So, none of you have any info regarding some USGS Track Drilling rigs that are supposed to have been or still are doing their work at Yellowstone?

Is the swarm still happening or has it seemed to die down? Was there 8 total or did more happen after that this afternoon?

It seems to have calmed down.

And now for the tirade.

Fracking UGH! ugh, u...ah man.

There is a reason I am very critical of our media. And I'll provide a relevant article from MSNBC.

The title is, "Huge Volcano Under Yellowstone Park Rising"
"It's building quickly, but doesn't mean doomsday eruption is imminent."

ah fu

Firstly, Yellowstone isn't rising at the moment. So the title is in correct. I understand you want to grab reader's attention, but this is dishonest. It is not building quickly, it already did that and now it's been quiet for a long while and there is very little change. So it's not news, it's olds. The study is new, and maybe that's where they should have kept the focus. On the fact that there was moving fluids, of one sort or another, that led to a rise and caused two major swarms. No mention of the swarms in the article. If this guy had consulted the lunatic fringe, I could have given him another perspective. This reporter has obviously very little knowledge of Yellowstone and what's happening at Yellowstone. They asked a few questions and got a few good quotes, thought up a catchy headline, backtracked to provide cover and seem responsible, and then put together some facts in the guise of a report. How about some research? Some objective context. Ten year kids would ask better questions and do more research.

That's better. I think I have a lung infection and will live. I'm a gonzo journalist so I don't need facts. But I try to provide them anyway to prove a point if I have to. But the "real media" is supposed to do investigating and research. Not just be a echo chamber repeating everything they say practically verbatim. In a ever increasing complex world don't we need more context and more facts, more dissent and critical thinking. It's known now that every organization has public relations people that shape their messages and public perception. Shouldn't that make you more skeptical, not less. I want to trust the media. I really, really do. But if they were doctors, I wouldn't let them operate on me. I wouldn't want to wake up and find out my left kidney instead of the right because they didn't know the difference. Can't tell left from right. Nor up from down.

Yellowstone is not rising.

Robin - Get to the Doctor for your lung infection and get some meds. This nasty virus has been sweeping everywhere. My first bout of it started in November and I let it go to long - now just got over my 2nd dose of anti biotics and know I need more - same as most in this area - the longer you wait the harder to get rid of this illness. - please don't delay!!!

Was a sweet little rush today at a greatly needed time in my life today with the micro/mini events today - I live for things like that!

Curious though - we lost PBO B207 for a short time a few hours ago - but then came back with the data (shortly after the minor events) with nothing left to see -- and - and ---- They have all these smaller event coming and going as we well know at the end of this week -- but now we really have quakes and they are not appearing - which they should ???? Jake, WTH???

Robin... you seem to have the most knowledge regarding fracking. I had no idea what it was until I watched the movie/documentary "Gasland". Which left me disgusted and horrified, to say the least.

Anyway... this was on Yahoo news today and I'm curious as to what your thoughts and feelings are regarding this. Obviously we are doing more harm than good with this nonsense. But it seriously concerns me.

New drilling method opens vast oil fields....

I cam tell you what Robin's thoughts and feeling will be. AAAAAArrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Fracking 101

Interestingly the company that made the first two videos is trying to pull out of the fracking business. Wonder why?

Fracking is bad, fracking in Yellowstone is very bad.

Edit: Disi you notice this bit in the article?

Last month China's state-owned oil company CNOOC agreed to pay Chesapeake $570 million for a one-third stake in a drilling project in the Niobrara. This followed a $1 billion deal in October between the two companies on a project in the Eagle Ford.

The Chinese will soon own the US lock stock and smoking barrel.

I'll express my views on fracking on another thread- I call it my crazy corner. That way I won't rant about unrelated subjects here. They aren't fracking in Yellowstone, but they are fracking in Wyoming and one field is south of Yellowstone on the other side of the moutains.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I'm gald nothing much happened over night with the small swarm. I tried to reassure those were concerned that what they were seeing was normal and not a big deal. Just before bed I started doubting myself and was feeling guilty. I wouldn't want to mislead anyone.

If anyone does have information on the locations of fracking near Yellowstone, please share it with us.

The irony of this is just digusting. In the same article (almost the same breath) they say how good this is for the US, that it will reduce our imports 60% by 2020....yet who is going to actually own and be profiting the most by this huge 'advancement'? The chinese!! Yeah!!!!

Thank you Robin & PuterMan for your responses. Robin, I'm heading over to your other thread in a moment.

I wanted to bring this up because I think it's an attempt from MSM to get us to look at these things as "good" and "valuable". I have yet to catch an episode of this... but I have seen commercial advertisements for it. I just think it's going to be more brainwashing and attempts to white wash the real issues at hand. The destruction of our planet.

Boomtown Reality Show From Discovery/Planet Green

I am no scientist and never would claim to be. I'm just a woman living my life here on a planet that suffers from our actions, daily. Ever since I was a little girl, I would talk to my mom about the drilling of oil and how bad I thought it was. At the ages of 7 & 8 years old, I am asking my mother "we are taking all this stuff out of the insides of the earth. How do we know we're not hurting the earth and taking away something that she needs?" And that has stuck with me throughout my entire life.

As MSM has recently reported and science has acknowledged... what can happen in one place, can trigger an action thousands of miles away. The Chile earthquake is a prime example. They reported that did indeed trigger tremors in California.

Quake in Chile sets off tremors in California

These things to me are so alarming. Whether it will be Yellowstone, New Madrid, San Andreas or God forbid, all of the above... these things do affect each other. A "chain reaction" of an event or events, is a scary thought. And considering the recent announcements from science... it could in fact be a terrifying reality.

I live in North Dakota, about an hour from the town of Parshall ND where Boomtown is filmed...I read online last week that the ND House voted in support of oil fracking...oil is hitting BIG here and I'm afraid it is going to change the little quiet state that I love so much.

Okay you guys, all I knew about fracking was what I had been reading here on ATS for the past 6 months or so. Which, I must say is most than the average person knows unfortunately.

These posts here today compelled me to check and see if Gasland were available on demand....it was. My husband and I just got done watching it. I am literally a bit sick to my stomach and my eyes are still wet.

I simply can not, do not want to believe all of this. It is outragously scary. At one point I asked my husband, "But what can WE do?" The only answer I came up with was awareness. I already made a post on my facebook account urging others to watch it and will do my best to educate everyone I know about it.

That this has been allowed to happen....that our own Vice President led the way, and continues to profit from the misery of others is just beyong disgusting.

I want something to be DONE. I want all this crazyness going on the world...with the fracking being a HUGE symptom to STOP.

Okay....off soap box. I just had to share. Thank you all for making me aware. Too many are not.

We need to get rid of T Boone Pickens.

He was on the Daily Show the other day. Let me see if I can remember some things he said. "Fracking" started back in 1953! I remember that coz that is my birth year. And he said he had "fracked" over 800 or more mines.

T Boone must go.

I feel you, westcoast, I really do!

I agree with you and think that awareness is key. I think visiting the Gasland website is a great place to start.
