But what the heck is going on with the PBO instruments ??? - no data on some and flat line other than the initial quake on others ??? This is making no sense and did I ever mention I hate dial up? - What are the other instruments reading?

Edit: Would be nice to know what others are seeing on GEE. Also, I am wondering if the solar flare is what is having the effect on the PBO stations

Great find, on that webicorder, what do you suppose is going on with those unreported aftershocks?

U of U went home for the day? I don't know.

Anyway, this webicorder is much cleaner and shows clear activity over the past few hours:

Not far from Teton. Could it be in the Baldy Mountain fault? Was some activity in that area in 2004. Biggest was a M5, January 07, 2004

Definitely rocking with aftershocks right now.

quake.utah.edu...

4:16 4:20 4:22 UTC

UofU seems to like to do this thing where they don't put anything on the map until it's over a day old, therefore you never see anything but yellow squares and you don't notice activity as much.

Look at this!

(Look at Aug 4th 2010)
quake.utah.edu...

At the 16:00hr mark, notice that harmonic looking wave? What is THAT? Is it normal before a quake? Is it volcanic in nature? Or just shallow shaking?

Very interesting.

I do not think is is Harmonic Tremor - although it is odd that it appear a few times on the instruments prior and after the quakes

here my opinion on that 4.8 this morning

granted it was a mod quake so one would think that there wouldnt be that many aftershocks .
now heres what i think , so far ,we have a 4.8 . a 3.0 and a 4.0 almost all in the same area if this was the main shock why arent the aftershocks smaller say less then a 3.0 .

There are plenty of aftershocks, they just aren't on the map.

This is the station to monitor:

quake.utah.edu...

and this is yesterday

quake.utah.edu...

Note that after last night's quake there were several distinct larger aftershocks and a host of smaller ones.

Does anyone have a link to a live webcam of Yellowstone that is working? I used to use the one on their homepage but it has been down forever...
Thank you
