seriously though they have no spies and no military that is worth its merit due to its widespread malnutrition their people just are not fit to judge the USA. No matter though we love em for being those crazy kanucks and here is another reason why thier CRAZY.

...and thank you for that ringing endorsement of the American public school system.

There are several other similar threads on this guy here at ATS somewhere, all regarding the same Canadian 'Disclosure' (I'm really starting to hate that word nowadays! anyone else?).

The guy has nothing, he done another speech at an X-Conference, and basically, to cut a long story short, he read Phillip Corso's book, believed every last word of his BS fantasy and now he is convinced and has to tell the world. Just another one duped by the charlatans plaguing the UFO 'Scene'.

Seems to me, though, that he did say when I saw him that he had had similar discussions with other higher-ups. Still, it is not near as good a story as I'd have liked. It isn't 'Disclosure.

Perhaps, I think after he read Corso's 'story' his interest in the subject peaked, and he probably started asking questions to some High Ranking Military that he rubs shoulders with, and probably heard some interesting stuff. That coupled with Coro's story probably made him want to speak out about the matter, he if he does come across as slightly misinformed.

Before anyone accepts what Hellyer is saying wholesale, ask yourselves this question:

If Hellyer was saying the opposite, that there is no extraterrestrial visitation, there is no cover-up, would we even be having this conversation? Would you consider it the truth?

It is rather telling, to me, that in the midst of such a serious thread, we have the undercurrent of something from a South Park movie... Blame Canada! Blame Canada!

Kind of think it smacks of people, the correct term I can't recall, who like to get in and muddy up the waters and thus the real subject. It might be better if we left place of National Origin out of this discussion, and try and get to the facts, true, or false, as they may be.

Thanks for letting me rant....

Now! Back to the subject at hand, and would, in fact, we consider it seriously, if he were negative on the subject of UFOs?

What is very telling about his public presence in ufology is that his position would have made him privy to much information, since this is a defense issue with them. Its a given that he can't produce the actual information that he is privy to, and that he is someone "in the know".

This would be comparative to Cheney saying this was real some years from now, but not revealing sources. Though those two men are miles apart in terms of integrity.

Well, that was 10 minutes of my life gone, interesting video. But I did have my doubts after reading: "Prime Minister of Defence".

A general - whoever he was or is, calls an ex-official from a different country, mmm.

www.youtube.com...

To you he seems "mostly" genuine? A person is either genuine or not. if he is "mostly" genuine then some parts are not. Which means he is not genuine.

As for his "genuineness" about UFOs... If he is that convincing, he simply could be genuinely mistaken, misdirected.

Just look at how many religions there are and how genuine their respective adherents are.

He lost all credibility with me when he said that the opera singer changed the molecular structure of the goblet to cause it to shatter.

This guy is completely geniune. I think you need to go back on watch the disclosure project and look at some of those names too. His position was not a minor one.

Wow, I am highly offended there pal and shocked by the stereotype.
pretty crazy how you judge a country by its military.

get over it ... YA... Canada knows stuff..... real surprise there.

crazy kanucks and their maple????.... laught it up funny boy.
we are an EXTREMELY INTELLIGENT people with strong character
and morals.

mods... please don`t give me the off topic slap...
this guy needs a slap , and justifiably so.

That's OK, let him be, the population of the USA is known to be the most ignorant one in the western world.

They also believe they have the best democracy in the world.

However, some points he made are valid. Our military sucks, and our spying/intelligence is certainly lacking. We do not have the funds, the expertise, and the technology to be a world-class army.

I couldn't sit through the whole thing... I was wondering where he was getting this stuff from, and after reading SaviorComplex's post it all made sense.

What makes me upset is this an ex official coming forward w/ NO EVIDENCE! Are you kidding me? I'm all about blowing the whistle when it comes to alien contact/ technology/ cover-ups. But bring some evidence to the table! Hard evidence!

Furthermore, it's been my experience that not one single person I know thinks of our great neighbors to the north as schmucks. Please don't let that post taint your view of our perception. It wasn't funny and should be deleted.

This is complete bunk. The former Minister of Defense has absolutely no first hand information of this. Nothing during his tenure has Minister of Defense informed this opinion of his. Rather, he formed it after reading the Day After Roswell., and it is the sole basis for his claims.

You make a very key observation. Of course, it will be ignored by the UFO believers here, because the only thing they see is "MINISTER OF DEFENCE" and "BELIEVES IN UFO". Thus, credibility is automatically established by authority.

Never mind the details that he never came across any documents about alien technology while in his post as the minister of defense. Never mind that he believed in UFO and USA conspiracy after reading a book.

To any reasoning individual, this is a no-contest case. There is no evidence, only interpretation of certain facts (Roswell incident, as interpreted by one author) sprinkled with some fiction (injected with references to aliens and their technology).

At the end, people write what sells. If I can become wealthy by feeding people what they want to hear, why not write about aliens, and their anal technology (pun intended)?

Others are genuinely misled, by others AND by themselves.

Just as an example of the position he held, so it becomes a little clearer:

www.forces.gc.ca...

His credibility is above average, I'd say. And that he is actually coming forth, it doesn't matter whatever smear campaign others launch against him. Its irrelevant. His position was not lightweight.

People, STOP CITING POSITION OF AUTHORITY IN ORDER TO MAKE ANY STATEMENT MORE TRUSTWORTHY.

This cannot be overstated.

As a homework, as a service to yourself and your fellow man, as a service to your country, please, I pray, go and grab Psychology 101 book and read it. What you learn about human behaviour and thinking will change your life, for the better.

Do you think persons of authority are not mistaken? Moreover, do you think persons of authority do not provide false information? Do you think persons of authority, armed with the knowledge how they can influence people, do not influence people willfully to their purpose?

This reminds me of the episode of Family Guy where Lois is running in the elections, and her intelligent, logical approach toward people does not work. At the end, all she does is drop "9/11" in the speech and people rally. It makes me think that certain people, the moment they hear "UFO", "alien", and "believer" IN THE SAME SENTENCE will use that as support of their shaky, often groundless and baseless ridiculous beliefs (US using alien technology? oh really? and they still cannot win the war in Afghanistan or Iraq).

Wow, you are a dick. First of all, Canada has some of the best flight training facilities in the world, where your people, as well as our people train, along with other countries. OH, wait, I think one of the U.S. pilots that we trained actually killed some of our people in a friendly fire incident, so that was a bad example.

Oh ya, I'm pretty sure we created insulin for all you fat asses down there (sorry to the people that are not fat!)... Malnutrition, at least we don't suffer from over nutrition, you prick! Also, I think we created the light bulb, but you'll have to check your history books for that one, I think someone lied to you.

Lastly, The U.S. and it's citizens are responsible for the coming NWO, and it's because of their blatant disregard for anything to do with responsibility, and their obsession with pointless materialistic bull****.

We beat you once and burned down your s**thouse, and we'll do it again.

You people should have seen this behavioral flaw in yourselves a long time ago. The only time you stand up and fight for the right thing is when your country's "freedom" is put in jeopardy. Otherwise you are pretty much a nation divided against itself.

ALSO, OP this video is old, and until I see and Alien with my own eyes, as with so many other people, I will not believe.

To you Americans that are aware of your fellow man's stupidity, and ignorance, I'm sorry this was not directed at you. tigpoppa's message is the kind of thing that makes us dislike, and stereotype americans.

P.S. I'm sorry for any mental breakdowns about the light bulb thing, I can't believe they lied to you in elementary school. Who lies to a child, they are so innocent.

I disagree about posts being deleted. There is too much censorship on this site. Free speech is a welcome aspect of our society, and the price to pay is occasional insults/flame.

The Canadian thing should have been edited out, it has absolutely no place in any thread, and a counter Nation bashing does neither. We can make our points without that kind of stuff. It does not change it was a former government official, in a fairly significant position. If it said former Canadian Defense secretary , or even analyst, would that make it more or less acceptable? But we should not say, Canada Admits, no it was a former, Canadian official..A ranking Canadian Admits, would have been better.
If one is flying exotic craft, Alien or not, there has to be coordination between countries, especiall adjacent ones like Canada. Or we would run the risk of having tons more of Triangle or football size craft spotted and reported than already are ,or worse, shot down.
We dont have to say, look, we are going to fly a craft, just only we will be conducting an operation in an area which is in your airspace., at such and such a time, make sure your boys stand down if its spotted.
Thats it. The same with UK.
I don't know what actual facts he's heard or seen, and Ive seen this mentioned in exopolitics which ihas been having problems of its own, but his oath of secrecy certainly didn't end with his leaving office, and he would have to externalize his sources, and yes, at times these people do develop cross border friendships. And remember ex gov office holders make it a routine practice to make appearances, pick up hobbies, and can make a nice comfortable return doing so. Ask Bill. Certainly former defense ministers are no less worthy of the same, though they don't command as high a price.
Still, its interesting ,Thats why its worthy of a look wherever it takes you.
