You know something is a scam if people keep trying to sell it to you repeatedly under different names:

Global Cooling.....Global Warming.....Climate Change.....

With Gimmicks:

"carbon footprints", "carbon offsets",

If you have to change the name of the same old thing to sell it, its probably not something worth buying into.

I'm going out to burn some tires and leave some carbon footprints........

MANBEARPIG is real I tell ya!

I am not a geologist, but I have 2 theories on global warming. The earth either has a "fever" from all the pollution and yuck we're doing to the planet (could we be like little viruses?)... or... (and I'm female) just like the female body, the body's temperature changes depending upon what part of the "monthly cycle" you are in. Around the time you ovulate (mid-cycle, meaning you can become pregnant) a female's basal body temperature (resting temperature, before arising from bed) goes up almost an entire degree or degree & a half from the norm. And, when you become pregnant, your basal body temperature stays at about a degree higher than "normal." I believe the earth is a living, breathing "body." So if scientists are saying, nope, we're not causing the "fever" on the earth from the polution... then yes, it could simply be the earth is just going through some normal "mid-month" cycle. Granted, the earth's "month" might be several 1000 years in length.
I would add to this that the body temp fluctuates at all times of the day. Noones body temp is ever exactly the same.

International corporations are the NWO, which benefits by being able to dodge environmental regulations in developed nations, and go to third world nations where they can easily bribe the corrupt governments into allowing them to avoid any and all regulations, as well as treat the workers like slaves.

The WTO sets up international treaties that cheat the workers of first world, developed nations, and allows the rape of third world nations. Creating a governing body to stop the abuses of these ICs, who currently covertly rule the world through the WTO is a good thing.

Punishing corporations that treat the world like a sewer for their waste is a good thing.

The biggest rip off of all is allowing IC's to ship our jobs overseas where they are allowed to poison the environment and treat the workers like slaves. All of which is supported by secret government activities.

The real kicker is that forcing IC's to meet rules establishing environmental regulations creates jobs. More efficient smaller businesses are also given a fair chance to compete against the highly inefficient mass production techniques of the giant IC's.

The government makes sure that we all have keep our autos within pollution requirements, and determines what we are able to do on our own properties, why shouldn't IC's be expected to follow the same rules around the planet.

Leave Gore out of it. Listen to actual scientists, who have been working on this for decades.

That's what I keep saying: listen to the thousands and thousands of scientists working in the field.

You do not have a hope in hell of convincing the skeptics here to read about the science. They prefer to go to sites like climatesci.org since it allows them to do nothing. By the way ALL the quotes on the senate website come from climatesci.org......now that is most definitely suspicious.

Like any debate the side that is losing the argument starts to get desperate. It is quite clear that the skeptics have hit the desperate button. Stand by for sensationalist claims from the skeptics. I predict a "My life was threatened" from a scientific community skeptic within a year i.e. the demonising of the believers to sway public opinion.

I hope we don't have a thread next week about "650 scientists committed suicide". Bucking the UN does seem to be hazardous to one's health.

It's not the U.N. you have to worry about, it's the WTO. Those are are the people who GW and the neocons work for, with the secret ops hit squads and all that.

Wow... how many brain cells did you kill before you bought their agenda?

Follow the money, people. All regulation has ever done is prop up a certain business. This liberal bent on global warming ("environmental progressivism") is a scam.

The very IC's that poet decries benefit from environmental regulation.

Due to their very nature, IC's can simply leave a country where they lose the competitive edge via one regulation and relocate or vice'versa.

Phillip Morris likes to pass all these regulations on tobacco and chemical additives in cigarettes. Oh my god, they've finally seen the light, right? If you mean, by lobbying Congress to pass regulations that will damage their competition, make them virtual monopolies, thereby making billions in the process, you're correct! It appears their intentions aren't all that altruistic, are they?

Should we all strive for a green economy and a healthy environment? By all means, yes. Whether or not you believe AGW is true is not what is at stake here; it's about giving exclusive regulatory power to an extranational authority , also known as a MONOPOLY.

Let me make it clear another way for all of you. This past Election Day, California recently defeated two scams for "alternative energy", yet it is already the #1 producer of renewable fuels in the U.S.

I'm referring to Prop 7 and 10, both scams to benefit a handful of GW craze piggybackers.

The backers of Prop 7 tried to mandate that 25% of California's energy comes from renewables by 2020. On the surface, that sounds good. Who were the opponents? Chiefly, Edison. Yep, I can hear you liberals jumping for joy now...

Fine, but let's use logic here. Something you guys are very uncomfortable with. By mandating the smaller companies buy energy from "green, renewable" producers, what does this do? It essentially shifts power of the industry, artificially spikes prices, and down the line, costs jobs and contributes to more pollution (since the offenders will merely relocate).

Prop 10 was sponsored by a man I'm sure many of you are familiar with- T. Boone Pickens. Nevermind that prop 10, which was intended to give tax credits to fuel stations of alternative energies like natural gas and electricity, would have exclusively benefited Pickens, as he owns 90% of all alt. fuel stations in California, essentially giving him an extra $5 billion dollars.

Regulation doesn't help adoption. It slows it down. So despite whether you're right or wrong about AGW, liberals, don't make the mistake of proposing a UN court to impose their will on everyone else, or you might as well just take credit for propping up energy-fascist regimes in the future. I know it's asking a lot to go against the fiber of your beliefs, but try to think abstractly for a change.

we need WW3 to destroy everything that the present is and built the new present from scratch, forgetting all that was in the past..

even if the climate change isn't taking place,
we still face the shortage of world resources,
and the cities are deconstructing themselves all the time
people are degrading,
no one cares about the sustainability issues, yes CO2 is not the cause for the temperature differences, but it definetely affects the air we breath, all this pollution, radiation, medication - caused mutations in living beings
people do not cherish what they have anymore - be it fellow human beings, animals, food they eat, environment they live in.

well WW3 probably will not be able to change everything, it might even change things to the worst, but we can give it a try, if noone has strength to improve themselves

BP was one of the first companies to produce solar panels - in fact we have them on our house. I don't think they will suffer because of the carbon taxes, as they are paid by the country from which the oil or coal is mined rather than the multinational corporates that mine/drill for the product. There will also be a push for end-user taxes. So the scientists who are against the non-science of the global warming cliques are therefore actually speaking out with the risk of having their reputations and careers destroyed by the very powerful global warming controllers...ask David Bellamy.

I stand on the other side of the fence to you re-global warming and actually think we are headed for a period of global cooling ( as scientists during the 1970's believed). Erratic weather patterns are known to precede global cooling. Also if the so-called warming has been caused by mankind then why is it that every planet in the solar system has been experiencing similar climatic disturbances as we have over the same time period??? Also another I heard recently is that the Alaskan glaciers are now advancing. There's lots of information popping up that does not support global warming.

The shadow world government wants the masses to believe in the myth of a plant food (CO2) caused planet warming so that they can thereby introduce the first ever global taxation regime....also this will limit the relative freedoms we have had...it is like a return to the era of the height of the aristocracy in Europe who taxed the movement of all goods and people through the use of tolls, to great advantage to themselves, but no one else. As a result it lead to a long period of stagnation.

With all the taxes we are expected to pay these days we are no better off than the serfs were...in fact they at least did not have to battle through traffic for hours of the day just to get to and from work and they did get to choose what they planted and how they arranged their working day. Most people are already prisoners of tick-tock and the global taxes combined with the shocking legislative changes introduced through the excuse of safety, anti-discrimination and terrorism locks the door to the jail cell as far as I can see.

Your link does not say global warming is a scam. It actually is certain global warming is happening at intense rate but blames it all on the sun. That is "simplification maxima" to say its all the sun after man has altered the ecological balance of the planet so drasticly in the last century.

[more

One has to wonder when mankind will realise that war is not, and never will be the answer to anything. Military operations are the most destructive and environmentally damaging thing we do to the planet and its people. Iraq and the old Yugoslavia have both been heavily contaminated with radiation from the depleted uranium weaponry... most don't seem to realise that this contamination then blows around the entire planet, just like the pollen from India shows up in California and the Middle Eastern dust blows in over Europe.

The only way we can overcome the present situation is to start with ourselves...each individual. Jesus said something along the lines of: we should pull the log out of our own eyes before we try to take the splinter from another's eye. Meditation, if practised regularly, can lead to amazing changes within individuals as it allows people to see the two within the one...it enables one to observe oneself and this in turn leads on to the Hero's journey.

Cheer up, we have a great future. The more evil that we have to contend with, the closer we come to redemption. As we are mythically hung upon the cross our souls start to awaken and through this we can find rebirth. Thus the allegory of Christ being crucified. He shows us that we too must undergo the same, but it is for a great purpose. This is why the legions of evil bastards are allowed to exist in this world...they do serve a purpose (although I do hope that they have to serve a very long penance for their cruelty, and somewhere other than earth)

what i find fascinating is the speed at which the governing bodys with the official line of GW, clamour to put there GW theorys into schools and the rest of society, when it was simply a theory to begin with, but making very deep impacting legislation for it to boot.

i agree with the previous poster fully when he or she said 'you know when its a scam when they keep changing the name for it' and true if you follow the money it comes pretty apparent who benefits here.

of course we would do well to not harm the environment and we should treat the earth and our surroundings, as well as each other with the utmost respect. of course we need to use alt energy sources that are less harmfull.

the real dispute here is the fact that the public have been sold a myth that man is the direct contributer to GW, and then the guilt rests on society and people start to feel bad about the world they live in and all the rest of it.

it seems it hits many things all at the same time, much the same war does too - like say they have an advancing agenda to take over a country, they'll be turning a profit simultaneously.

here we see the same thing from the Neo-cons - spread fear, guilt & desperation about the direct affect EVERYONE in the world is contributing to GW, then tax the hell out the world in the process, introduce new legislation and ultimately shave off a few more basic rights and freedoms, simultaneously disinforming the kids too.
