SO if they are indian, hows Pakistan related to this whole scenario?

Read up on SIMI. They are supported financially and otherwise by ISI related groups.

One thing for sure though, this is definetly not an ISI job.Doesn't serve them good in any way. They mainly concentrate on millitary objectives not killing civillians.

The supposition at this point is that it is the same rational that has happened for many years.

Each time Pakistan is in trouble, economically, politically, via attacks in Afghanistan, etc. they defer focus of the situation by sponsoring attacks on India.

Same ol' same ol'.

As you are aware, they are under a lot of pressure economically, politically, they were pressured to change the head of the ISI recently due to verified info that the ISI helped the attacks on the Indian embassy in Afghanistan, drone strikes killing Islamic radicals they let loose from prison and/or claimed were not in Pakistan, etc. etc.

They have to change the focus somehow. This it their historically verifiable prefered method.

Why would they release all the hostages? What would be their point? Bargaining for surrender? That would be a bad idea. I think a lot of these news reports are bogus.

Token, yeah your point about Muslims killing for God. We all know that Hindu's, Christians, and Jews never kill those of other religions!

Pakistan ensured the only people that got the Weapons and money from Cia were the extreme fanatics

there were two groups fighting thr soviots,
one which was moderate and then you have what is the Taliban/Alquida

The pakistani goverment armed the fantics as they knew an unstable afganistan would be in their faver

www.bbc.co.uk...

good read on how the weapons and money was given

The odds would suggest it is but I guess we won't know just yet.

The whole situation seems wrong in some way, besides the obvious of course.
Like maybe there will be a second wave while they're concentrating on the hostage situations.

Where did you hear that there were only 26 combatants? The reports I've seen say that there were 16 or 17 groups of riflemen. An effective kill team consists of AT LEAST 4 soldiers, better to have 5. That tells me we are looking at a company sized element.

Change focus to create more pressure when they are already crippled big time?

Pakistan knows very well if india decides to take big action against pakistan now,it would the end of Pakistan.

Read my page 9 scenario,i think that's whats really gona happen.

Agreed. It seems many are escaping as well. I highly doubt we are going to hear the real numbers.

I am wondering about that myself. Why would someone want to do this out of Pakistan?! Especially when you already having our President-Elect threatening to take the fight further into Pakistan. This is a sure way of making sure your country is destroyed.

They know that historically India does nothing about it except military excursions into Karach.

It does take the pressure and focus off of their internal issues, which is the goal. It is easier to get people to rally behind a common enemy, (India), rather than get them to rally behind a political process that is unable to provide food, comfort and security to them.

I doubt that this event will be taken lightly. This is going to get very ugly. I mean, is this thing still ongoing?! That is INSANE!!

By now you had better believe that SAS and probably even American Special Forces are on the scene. The fact that this group hasn't been squashed by now is astonishing to me!

I am not sure about that,i think they armed and trained every Afghan that wanted to fight against Soviets in Pakistan and then sent em off to Afghanistan to deal with them.

Taliban came in 1995,they kinda ended the civil war between Sunnis/Shias/warloards who were tryna take over Agfhanistan for their own agendas. The taliban are neither they were deobandis/wahabis.Their only fault was that they didn't hand in OBL and Al CiAdA operatives in afghanistan to US after 9/11 which made the West wage war on them.Otherwise they would have been spared.

I doubt anyone expects it to be taken lightly.

Pakistan will proclaim that they did nothing, and that India is going to attack them, thus rally the people behind a common enemy, and help them overlook their internal issues.

Yes, still ongoing! Final assault on nariman house started over an hour ago but no new news as to what's happening there.

There are reports of the public getting very furious with the government now because of the time this is taking.

Oh, I see what you were saying now. My bad. Anyhow, I wonder how long until American troops are sent in to secure nuclear facilities. I would half expect it has already happened.

And as for the report about the "terrorists" cell phone receiving international calls, that wouldn't surprise me one bit. This thing is bigger than some tribal warlord funded skermish.

I don't understand why the USA would get involved?

Unless they get asked to by the Indian President.
