Two Australians who were injured in the deadly Mumbai attacks this morning have been named.
They are 23-year-old David Coker from Townsville in Queensland and his girlfriend, 24-year-old Kate Anstee from Sydney.
The pair travelled to Mumbai yesterday to celebrate their graduation from the Australian National University.
Ms Anstee is undergoing surgery for a bullet wound to her thigh while Mr Coker has grazes to his legs.

Do you know how intelligence agencies work?
They gather information through monitoring communications by email, internet, phone... By interrogating captured suspects and criminal links to those planning events.
Gathering intel through communications is done by searching on key words and indicating factors including where the message originates, language used, order of words, nature of message and so on.
It's a very sophisticated system and doesn't rely at all on "special powers".
Yeah, and the terrorists are too dumb to code their messages huh?
And when the intelligence community says (and they used to say this a LOT after 9/11) the levels of chatter have risen and the threat alert it high is that because they understood what that "chatter meant?" No. They couldn't decipher most of it, they just saw increased activity and assumed that might mean something was going to happen (or perhaps you believe they caught all those bad guys which is why nothing has happened!)
I do not think for one minute that Al Queda would have to plan a huge attack in India to get a message out. I also don't believe for one minute the U.S. intelligence agencies can intercept and decode all electronic transmissions. The mess in Iraq has provided ample proof that our intelligence is not that good at all! WMD anyone?

Today's horrific attacks in Mumbai were claimed by a previously unknown group calling itself the Deccan Mujahideen. But one India journalist claims the pattern of the attacks suggests that Lashkar-e-Taiba, a nasty Islamist organization based in Lahore, Pakistan, and with a significant presence in Kashmir and links to al Qaeda, may be to blame.
Here's where it gets interesting -- and I stress here that I am just speculating. Lashkar-e-Taiba's main goal is to expel India from Kashmir. In the past, some have accused elements of the Pakistani military and intelligence services of having ties to the group. Pakistan's government has always hotly denied such accusations.

India has been gripped by a number of devastating attacks this year.
Indian terror attacks in 2008:
- Oct. 30: Bombs kill 64 in Assam
- Sept. 30: Blasts in western India kill seven
- Sept. 27: Bomb kills one in New Delhi
- Sept. 13: five bombs kill 18 in New Delhi
- July 26: Twenty-some bombs kill 49 in Ahmedabad
- May 13: 68 people killed in bombings throughout Jaipur's markets
Mumbai has been attacked six times since 1993. The last major attack, in 2006, killed 200 on the city's rail transit.

I certainly don't think this is a false-flag attack. It seems too out of control. The outcomes are too unpredictable.
