It truly terrifies me how much people trust Obama.

He's a politician!

Pfffft...

It seems about 2/5 of the people are happy, 1/5 are very unhappy, 1/5 are neutral and the other 1/5 are screaming conspiracy...

Good old ATS... It makes me smile

Now.... I think we play the waiting game.... what next for the US, the UK, Israel, Iran, Europe, Afghan, the middle east.... The world...

Who gains?

Congrats are in order for Obama, he won and I will support him as our President. I hope he lives up to the hype people have put on him. He is going to be President through some pretty rough times in America's future. I hope he is up to the task.

In reality it's not him who has to live up to they hype. It's us, his supporters.

He is simply the Leader of our movement. We are it's body and are what needs to live up to the hype.

Wow.. I'm so amazed still.

It's not Obama we trust, it's all of his supporters.

Obama is our ensign.

And now we have a mandate!

Double up the tinfoil on your hat! Does everything have to be a conspiracy??? In the end, you will see that you are going to be better off in four years. "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar!" Sigmund Freud

No, EVERYTHING does not have to be a conspiracy, but the conspiracy of old European/Jewish bankers controlling our money supply is the same exact conspiracy it has been for the last couple hundred years.

Every election we are given 2 douchebags who support the international bankers to vote for. People need to wake up and realize this, otherwise nothing will change. The bankers already have all the money in the world, they are control freaks, and want a cashless society.

I want to add that I do believe John McCain is a great guy and a true patriot. He has more balls than I would have had in his position. I am not proud of the campaign he ran, I don't think I ever heard actually say anything about his ideas or plans for the country.

As a man I have to like his pick of a vice-president (!sexist alert!), pretty girls sell, and regardless of the rightousness of that, it is still true, but pretty isn't necessarily what we need to run a country. I would be interested in how many leaders would give concessions to a beautiful woman.

To my buddies, drink a toast and let's hope that the winds of fate are with us, and those who oppose us.... Why do you hate America? (just kidding, you had that coming), let's work together to make us all greater than our parts

Well, the a-hole won. God help us all. Guess it goes to show money from our enemies can buy our elections.

McCain ran the most disgusting campaign I have ever seen and you somehow think Obama is an "a-hole"? How about you wait until he has been president for a while before you make your assumptions. I believe he will be a great president and with the issues that we will be facing next year you should be thanking your lucky stars that he will be the person making the tough decisions.

Obama ran a fantastic campaign and proved that he is a genius politician. You republicans can learn a thing or two from him so pay attention. I can't wait to find out who will be in his administration, I'm sure unlike Bush he will choose intelligent well capable individuals instead of corrupt cronies. Obama is a great American and he will restore America to its once glorious self.

I supported Obama over McCain, even though I voted for Chuck Baldwin. I am optimistic yet I remain vigilant. I always tell people to trust their hearts not their eyes and my heart feels relieved. I'll raise a toast for our new President, but irregardless of the numerous social barriers that have just been torn down, subjects such as race haven't mattered to me for a long time and we elected a man who is supposed to turn this country around when it is truly going the wrong way. I think I'll celebrate more for this election in the coming months and years, depending on how President Obama leads this Great Experiment in Democracy.

Still a very monumental night not only for America but for the world. I think we need some time to let this moment seek in and allow us the moment to reflect on the history of our country.

Blacks were promised freedom from their masters if they deserted their plantations to fight for the Revolution of this country against the Crown. The Underground Railroad was made possible by many forward thinking white families for their time. Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Malcom X, these heroes became a voice for a generation when people finally began to wake up and realize there really is nothing that separates us as equal humans on Earth.

All of these moments have come to summation on November 4th of 2008, when the first African-American ever has become President-Elect. Yet this is just the beginning. I'm not sure if we will ever be done as a collective people fighting social and racial injustices not only at home, but abroad. I hope I'm alive to see this moment. It won't be such a profound moment as this one is, it will be very subtle and we will all just wake up one day and something will click. The last brick of intolerance will be demolished. Only then will our fight be over and there truly will be Peace for All.

I hope Barack H. Obama realizes the unique position he is in to help break down the walls, and I hope he doesn't succumb to the immense corruptible pressure beset on him on all sides. I hope tonight we truly are celebrating Change.

Exactly! I think the majority of people don't have your reasonable opinion of Obama, however. Through my many talks with Obama fans they seem thing generally think that he will come into office and suddenly and miraculously 'Change' everything and this country will be better!

I am just saying that we should stand behind our new President. He may not miraculously change things, but perhaps he will be a step in the right direction, perhaps not. The real thing to hope for is that he is the stepping stone to a better future, not the better future itself. That is expecting too much too soon, and it never happens that way.

Right, a guy who was raised on food stamps is in cahoots with the power elite! How did I not see that??? This guy has had to struggle for everything he has ever gotten! This is truly a great moment in the History of this Country!

this site... ATS.... is pointless... I'm convinced of it now...

for them to send me to this post, which lists the innaccurate electoral numbers in the header -- when I was trying to point out that the networks were pre-maturely calling the election based on limited and pre-conceived data... unforgivable..

people who run this site, and people who use this site, need to seriously re-consider their own morality, philosophy, and viewpoints...

this place is out of control

I'll be glad when this blows up in all of you PrObama peoples' faces.
Seriously,...delusional much?

All I've got to say is you get what you deserve for the next 4 years. I voted McKinney, as I refuse to play a part in voting the lesser of two evils. What kind of logic is that? We had an opportunity to save this country by voting for a third party and someone who actually gives a $hit about the nation, but you all blew it by accepting your helpings of spoon-fed MSM.

I'm stocking up on ammo and guns, because I can guarantee you that one of the first things this man is going to do is go after our 2nd amendment.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it now, just in case the internet is outlawed by then,....but...." I TOLD YOU SO!" there you go, and because I didn't vote for him or the other one, here's a little salt for your upcoming wounds...."You voted for him, not me."

And to all of you whack-jobs that shed tears for this man. Remember those tears when you're shedding them again for all of the things you were wrong about in regards to him.

And before anyone even thinks of throwing "racist" my way, just know this. I am a firm believer in ONE race, and that's the Human Race. I don't give a *SNIP* about what color he is or where he's from. I just know how to call *SNIP* when I see it and hear it. I have the gifted ability of being allergic to all of the *SNIP* they try to force feed us, as well as the ability to be mentally awake, unlike the seeming majority of sleeping Americans today. Remember, a polished *SNIP* is still a *SNIP* , and it will always stink to high heaven, no matter what *SNIP* it came from.

That's the thing about armageddon... it leads to a brand new world!

And we are witnessing the new world of desire based politics as opposed to fear based politics...

God Bless America!!!!

Obama might not even know about the whole New World Plan himself, he probably just wondered why these elite bankers were giving him so much money and figured it was just because they supported his party. I bet a lot of politicians, including presidents don't even truly understand how they are supporting the New World Order directly.
