Know what it sounds like Red?

Sounds like a Stalemate.

And everyone is in denial. They are all looking for that move but there is nowhere to go.

So tinfoil hat back on.

How long will it take for Civil Unrest to turn into a global revolution when the news starts to trickle out the every single country in the world is in the same exact condition?

Could it be the endgame actually means the power shifts back to the people on a global scale?

So you tell me folks.... What happens next?

Lies, coverups, blackmail, multifarious threats via diplomatic channels. And smiles on TV.

redhatty - that last post epitomizes the value of what we have going here. Though I'm sometimes only lurking - as I'll be the first to admit I've got plenty to learn - it's that level of unbridled, insightful commentary that makes this discussion special. Thank you.

I think the power shifts once the common people take ahold of the MM..

When/If that happens.. I dont know..

Until then, you (not you, but you know what I mean) are owned by the media/corporate infrastructure

I think communications are the real power anymore, anything else just takes a backseat...

If a pirate could somehow take control of the airwaves, then I think you could see something happen

While an amusing post and very interesting I wonder if we should actually be surprised here.

After all, doesn't the Fed have their own absolute power and they are not to be bothered by congress inquiring.

So hey it looks to me that somebody is running away with the booty before the ship sinks.

And to think that our own government is looking into adding more power to the fed when it comes to our nation financial troubles.

Nothing but dirty thieves.

Some riveting and throught-provoking discussion people!

I sort of feel "numb" lately: not quite waiting for the other shoe to drop because I have a nice life but not quite being comfortable in regards of much of anything relating to finances or the future.

My gut tells me something's gotta' give...I'm not doing anything too radical, sitting back and plotting/hoping.

Here's some interesting insight on those "bonds" with photos, will we ever really find out the TRUE story regarding this event?:

Side-note from Breaking News:

US likely to lose AAA rating

Nothing definitive there, but a significant issue nonetheless.

Maybe the basket of currencies is not as "stable" but with all this information and activity lately, whats to say that the USD IS STABLE?

The rest of the world is asking this exact question.

We (the US) are not answering them.

So you tell me folks.... What happens next?

Right on point...we're looking at a Archduke Ferdinand moment...except the assassination was the US Dollar....those bonds ARE real...and the world knows it...

Well not to worry the last few times that we have the same warning, we have Moody to come and tells us that US rating is solid.

IC's article ends thus:

...the list of possible culprits is not very long. Namely, North Korea is at the head of the line, big time.

The comments section that then follows makes for interesting reading:

North Korean faced international sanctions over institutional counterfeiting of US $100 bills. The country has no qualms about mass producing counterfeit money...

...There are a million ethnic Koreans in Japan who are otherwise Japanese, about a third of whom identify with North Korea and have supported North Korea’s policies including kidnapping, murder, and international terrorism. North Korea has in fact admitted to these allegations, which are the crux of Japan’s stance in six-way talks. North Korea has no qualms about terrorism, murder, kidnapping, or any crimes in general. * North Korea’s counterfeiting, missile sale, and opium production are all designed to generate hard currency it desperately needs to survive. It will do anything to get money. * One of the few safe havens in the world for North Korea is Switzerland due to its strong neutrality. Kim Il Jung’s heir went to school there and Switzerland serves as a repository for much of North Korea’s currency and banking needs...

As only China, Japan, and Russia even possess this amount in bonds these are the only nationalities any smugglers would claim. Alas, such denominations of bonds do not exist in this amount and would be accounted for in any case, and they are almost definitely forgeries. * North Korea has a colorful history of organized crime dating back decades – not many years have to pass for another bizarre pattern of crimes to emerge and it was only a couple of years ago they were caught for mass counterfeiting of dollars.

Perhaps this is not an open-and-shut case of FED fraud after all. What do you reckon?

Well taking into consideration that the actual deficit will be in the 100 trillions or more and not the 11.4 that has been sold to us.

This means that since 2008 Bernanke has been increasing the monetary base, they control 100%. So who is to blame for what is going on, while trying to save their own butts and the banks cartel?

About eight months ago, starting in early September 2008, the Bernanke Fed did an abrupt about-face and radically increased the monetary base -- which is comprised of currency in circulation, member bank reserves held at the Fed, and vault cash -- by a little less than $1 trillion. The Fed controls the monetary base 100% and does so by purchasing and selling assets in the open market. By such a radical move, the Fed signaled a 180-degree shift in its focus from an anti-inflation position to an anti-deflation position.
.

online.wsj.com...

This can not last for ever.

Get ready for inflation.

One can hope, but we know what that gets us these days.

Seriously though, I have finally succumbed to the realization that the US will not rise up en-masse. We are too fat, lazy, pre-occupied, indifferent, ignorant, etc. to rise up in a meaningful way.

Iran - which has been in the NON-STOP midst of protest since their election "results" last week - has more stones between their legs as a "people" than we do.

I mean come one, we didn't storm the white house over the patriot act, the bailout bill, or any other injustice we KNOW has happened. We sit and bitch and whine on our computers & cell phones & crackberries and do little to nothing else.

As another thread here (and KD) have said, We SHOULD BE ASHAMED.

As to your "global revolution" theory...

Won't happen.

You see, most successful wars happen when the governments AND THE PEOPLE view someone as an enemy. When you ask folks from the rest of the world who they think is responsible for the global "recession" happening right now, guess who they say.... THE US.

We are the rest of the world's common enemy right now. Even our "former" allies blame us for all the world's ills right now (and maybe we are responsible, as a country, not as individuals).

How do people come out of a depression? War

What's coming down the pike? War

Who is everyone going to want to destroy, because they already feel we are destroying them?

The US

I really think the only delay is that the rest of the world KNOWS that there is a barrel of a firearm behind every blade of grass here in this country.

But our illustrious leaders have been trying very hard over the past decades to change that.

And the Nuclear option will not be a 1st option because we still have lots of fertile soil and natural resources that the rest of the world wants to take from us.

But WAR is coming & this time I really think it will be fought on our soil

I hope and *pray* I'm wrong, but my SIT-X preps have shifted to that possibility/probability, because I can not find a single reason to dispute this conclusion.

Perhaps that is the reason Iran doesn't want to do any business in US dollars specially with the countries it deals with, Japan, Russia and China.

They will be using their counterfeited US currency.

And that is what makes the internet so important. What I don't understand is why the internet is still "free"? That alone flies in the face of any grand NWO conspiracy. I think the MSM will continue to lose control to the internet and that is where real change will come from. Unfortunately, there is a growing group of people that view open discussion and free thought on the internet as a potential threat to current power paradigms. I fear that someday my interest in the though-provoking stuff on certain sites like this one will land me on a 'list'. That would be a real shame...

Bingo!!!!! that is one thing I am still shaking my head on, While Iran people in an supposedly oppress nation get to take to the streets and protest and willing to be targeted for it.

Shows that when it comes to freedom of expression they happen to enjoy it more than we do as a Free nation.

The irony

We can see who is truly oppress here, we are oppressed by laws.

Red and Marg.

Yes Inflation is coming.

Also don't discount the American people yet, Iran has a population of 50 million and America has a population of 300 million. The illusion that we are "free" is still strong amongst most people but that illusion is fading quickly.

Not everybody knows the truth that we on ATS see it as. The fear mongering is starting to wear off. People are starting to wake up. It hasn't reached critical mass yet.

As far as a war on our soil, it's a possibility, but strategically they would want to engineer a coup, they would want to pit us all against each other. Like you said there is a gun behind every blade of grass. I don't think they could achieve their objective if they invaded us.

There is no doubt in my mind that we are a target and they would like nothing more than to take us over, but I see us being sold into slavery, in fact that is what I think is happening now. I see this as economic warfare that what I think WWIII is going to be, and it will be proxy wars, it won't actually be a World War so to speak it will be little wars breaking out all over the place.

I don't know, the truth of the matter is that we are in uncharted territory when it comes to geopolitics, but economic wise we all know where this ends up.

I don't know we will have to wait and see.

It really seems some people in the upper echelons see current affairs/world economics/politics as some kind of a board-game, where a few hundred thousand mutilated/dead here or there is of little consequence. Pure evil.

[edit on 16/6/09 by pause4thought]

Yeah and the weird thing is that he told me this about 5 years ago that the next war will be between china and third world vs. developed world. A few hundred thousand dead? Try hundreds of millions if this occurs.

There are more Americans ready to go than one might guess...why haven't they marched yet? They have and nobody is paying any attention..they are quietly walking out on the system...you'll see tax collections continue to plummet, homeowners are walking away from their mortgages, even when they can make the payments...people are moving to areas that they can live in a sustainable way and forming communities that will defend their lifestyle....You won't see this stuff in the news....

There is genuine hope amongst the people who have left the matrix...

Harder to envision than a leprechaun lizardman. But the danger is undeniable in terms of economic motivation, not to mention rumors of the kind of plans you speak of.

If things got that bad even total losses on the stock market would pale into insignificance.

Oh I don't doubt that there will be "pockets of resistance" I KNOW there will be & I know where I'll be too

but for the most part, no. Americans will sit back and take it, whatever it is.

We have so far & I have no reason anymore to believe that things will change.

The Liberal Agenda will prove to be a success in their efforts to destroy America as we once knew it, they have made record progress so far.

You know the Agenda, we should welcome illegal aliens into our midst, give up our guns, *force* the Federal Gov to do MORE FOR US, since we can't do it for ourselves, dumb down the children through "progressive education" (forget the facts, how does that make you feel? type education), the list goes on.

I worry for my children, they will be the ones who live through the worst of what's coming.
