WHAT MADE YOU CRY!

Damn..... I can't believe I am actually going to do a SIDEBAR

Okay..... this, of course, could be a thread all to itself..... but I decided to keep Movies with Movies.

Now here's the deal...... some of you will be too chicken to admit it because of the Macho Mentality.... others will say "When I was a kid.....". But I want you to tell me and the membership, if you dare, what was the first movie you remember as an Adult (or whatever age you are now) that moved you so much it brought Tears in your eyes.

Mine, without any question is Brian's Song. The 1971 version with James Caan and Billy Dee Williams.

Watch Brian's Song ENDING Right Here

Here's The Background

The first time I saw it, I cried like a baby. Since that time, there have been others that have brought a tear or two... but none as forceful as that one amazing sequence of two men... one white, one black..... who were brothers in every sense of the word.

Whats YOURS? (If You Have The Guts)

The end of "The Notebook". I cried like a baby the first time I saw it and still do. It gets me every time. My husband has made the mistake of walking into the room just as the movie ends and finds me curled up on the couch crying like someone just ran over my puppy. Of course he laughs at me and rolls his eyes when I tell him why I'm crying, but that's just cause he doesn't get it.

Only one movie in my entire life ever made me cry and that was 'Click.' Figures- my first movie to ever make me cry and it was an Adam Sandler movie! LOL! Anyways, if you have seen it and if you are a parent, you will understand why. My husband and I saw it together on 'date night' in the theaters and once we got home, we were both trying to out race each other to be the first one in the front door to play with our son. Even my husband (a huge 300 lb. redneck) was bawling like a little baby at the theater. It was a very well done movie.

Platoon. I couldn't believe that humans could treat each other that way. The inhumanity brought me to tears. That said, that was over 20 years ago when I was less jaded.

DRAMA – Memento/Million Dollar Baby

ACTION/ADVENTURE – Equilibrium/The Dark Knight/Rambo 4

MILITARY – Tears Of The Sun/Rescue Dawn

COMEDY – Hot Shots...or maybe Hot Fuzz?...Can't think right now.

HORROR – Family Guy(Absolutely Horrible)

SCIENCE FICTION – Independence Day/Terminator?...meh

EDIT: What made me cry?
Well...It's very hard to bring tears to this dudes' eyes. I wanted to cry for Lion King so badly when I was younger, because all the other kids said they cried...so I felt it was my duty as a kid to cry...but it just couldn't happen. The 1st and only movie that brought tears to my eyes was Million Dollar Baby! That sh!t was moving. Click nearly made it happen...but it wasn't sad enough. Also, I wanted to cry for Run Fat Boy Run, when the chick said yes and was gonna marry the chauvinistic punk, because I know how it is when your heart is for them, but their heart is for another...I was close, but didn't cry.

2nd:

"The bicycle thief"
