I think they would be overjoyed that there were even that many willing to show their displeasure at our elected representative's unwillingness to vote in the interests of those who selected them to express their voice in the halls of governance in such a direct manner.

Either way, this cannot be allowed to simply be brushed away and forgotten. Otherwise, it will no longer matter what the people expect of their government.

actually you can take up to 9 exemptions if you don't actually have dependents. But yes, you do have to pay that money back when you file your taxes the next year.

That is why you have to weigh your options. Do you want that extra money at the end of every pay period or at the end of every tax year?

The only other thing you can do if you want to make sure you get extra money every paycheck and not have to pay extra taxes when you file your return is to calculate how many exemptions you can take to break even.

Personally, I like getting the chunk of money every year.

If you claim your max exemptions and DON'T file a return at some point the IRS WILL catch on. Especially if one year you suddenly decide to file a return.

Also, your employer has to send all employee W-2's to the IRS. After a few years someone will catch on and realize that someone hasn't filed a return in years yet they've been claiming all these exemptions. It wont' add up and they will demand you file a return. And you don't even want to THINK about the penalties and late fees you will have to pay for not filing in the respective year(s).

You can't claim exempt on your w-4 unless you aren't expecting to make more than $8,750 (if your single. $17,500 if your married). So right there, when your w-2 gets sent in someone will see that you had nothing withheld yet you made over the limit.

These people are ruthless. Trust me, the IRS is a bunch of bastards. We deal with these people all the time and mostly they are completely incompetent. They are out for nothing more than to take more of your money, even if you don't owe it to them.

I can't tell you how peeved our clients get when they realize the IRS made a huge mistake yet our client just had to pay us buttloads of money to settle the matter. Does the IRS cover those fees? Hellz no! But it was their mistake.

No big surprise really, just goes to show how many are bought and paid for. They just crashed and burned there political career as far as I'm concerned assuming the votes will actually be counted. I'm so disgusted right now! The amount of fear mongering and arm twisting that went on behind the scenes was truly unbelievable!

The Founders must be rolling in their graves - this country is turning into exactly what they feared the most. This administration has been wiping its collective backside on the constitution for years, and this is the just the latest example of the greed and corruption that now rules.

It's scary how the vast majority of the population have no idea what's happening. I know people who are extremely well educated, keep up with current events (to a large degree) and hold very respected jobs; even they have no idea about some of the things this administration has done. I know if I explained it to them they would just look at me like I was on drugs
What chance does the rest of the population stand?

Where will it all end?

It closed around -157. That was a complete drop off as the DOW was slowly climbing all morning. If they said it was going up...THEY LIED. Of course, we shouldn't be surprised by this.

The IRS can be really dirty when it comes to getting their money. Some of the ways they will stoop to getting paid:

* Garnish your wages - meaning the majority of your paycheck, whether you file exempt or not, goes straight into the IRS coffer before it his your bank account. They do this in Texas to guys who don't pay their back child support.

If they voted "yes" to this bill, you cast a vote for their opponent regardless of party lines. You do this on election day and in 2 years and until the last vestiges of every man and woman that voted for this bill is OUT of Washington, D.C.

Be smart about this, people. Use your power to vote and make it count to clean out the House of Reps and the Senate. We need a fresh start in Congress regardless who becomes President.

Instead, plan ahead, the way they do. Take more interest in politics, beginning at local and State level. Make your politicians work .. for you. Cull the crap at grass roots level. It's the only way you can control what happens at the top.

And hunker down. Be prepared to ride it out. Blow the froth from your life. Make every bit count. Trim the fat. Teach your kids how to live lean and travel light. Watch, listen, learn and keep your kids informed all the way. Raise a smarter generation. Can't change the past .. but can shape the future.

Yep! It's passed and we are " snipped " Now we all know that they are in this for their selves and not us. Those who played a role in this mess were smiling today because they have just been cleared of all wrong doings and helped America get back on track.
