Is anyone else going through this?

Trying to make sense of this world is a big job!

You are not happy, you feel happiness.
You are not angry, you feel anger.
You are not envy, you feel envious.
You are not hungry, you feel hunger.

You are the observer. Everything else is thought derived from the observation, from all the senses and rich combinations thereof.

Everything that you think you are, your likes, dislikes, beliefs and everything else that makes up what you believe to be you, is in effect nothing more than a lens through which the real 'you' experiences 'now'.

The accumulated past and current experience builds this lens that distorts how you experience 'now'.

This cycle continues until you understand the cycle exists.

The lens is called the ego.

Most people are unaware of the ego in themselves and live AS the ego.

If you try and deny your ego, then this IS your ego.

By denying your ego you may feel a sense of superiority as you have finally separated from your ego and others have not. You feel 'I am enlightened'. This IS your ego.

Simply, live KNOWING that you have an ego that distorts how you perceive reality (and more importantly how you perceive other people). This is enough.

Do not fight or pre-empt any decisions you must make in your life TRYING to balance how you perceive the ego to be working in yourself.

Do not TRY to do anything. TRYING is the ego.

JUST UNDERSTAND and ACCEPT what the ego does and you have one.

Put simply it is 'humility'.

You can KNOW NOTHING for sure as YOUR present experience is tainted by YOUR OWN past.

The longer you live believing that you ARE your ego the further away the truth you will be.

Sit quietly for a moment, YOU are aware of all the aspects of YOU.

YOU are not what you THINK you are.

Thinking is thought, nothing more.

You are the one that knows you can think!

I can relate word for word to what your experiencing...its been in this past year as well...

GIVEN the amount of craziness going on today....I think its a clear awakening that everyone will see before its too late.

Things have changed, we can't go back to the way they were. It's either going to get really bad or change for the better- we've been bouncing back and forth between the two over the last few years and I think now its going to teeter to one side and one side only.

Its preceeding to something big. Thats the feeling I'm getting. Feels like something big is going to happen. Something bigger than we've seen.

I guess I can see how you might be confused at what's happenening considering it goes against mostly everything you used to think and believe about the world.

I'm not some one who is well informed with the metaphysical but I have a pretty good understanding of it and it seems to me that the veil was lifted from you. Congratulations!

Most people walk around in a haze because they can't see past what's right in front of them. The bills, the house payment, their family problems, life problems, what their being told to pay attention to on the nightly news, as if that's all that matter in the world and then they go do the dishes, go to bed, don't sleep well and start all over the next day.

They have a veil pulled over them that keeps them from being open minded and seeing beyond themselves.

I honestly believe that this is why things seem to be getting more and more polarized. There's the people who are close minded and refuse to even consider things beyond the physical world and then there are people like you, like me, and many many others in the last few years alone that are waking up and realizing that not everything we see is either as it really is or even real at all.

I think on a subconscious level these people see what is happening to the rest of us but can't grasp what the hell is going on. It's like they are being left behind. That's when they start to come up with childish quips like, tree huggers, bleeding hearts, out of touch with reality (as if their reality is the only one that matters). Even many religions are starting to break from the suffocating boundaries the dogmas and wrong teachings that have been placed on them.

Perfect example is when the guy in Texas went into a "liberal" church and shot six people in the presence of children. He is the epitome of the kinds of people I'm talking about. He saw that there was a group of people with minds so wide open that *gasp* they had the nerve to be accepting of gays, other religions, and female preachers. He was so tightly wrapped in his veil that it must've scared the hell out of him.

I really believe that we are going to be seeing a lot of strange things in the next few years. Much of which is going to blow peoples minds. Some of us will be prepared for it because we've had open minds. Then there's those that just won't know what to think of it and it will take some time to get used to after the initial shock. Then there's those that will continue to refute what they are seeing and being told because it's just simply not a part of their psyche. But...there are those like the man from Texas who will go completely nuts!! They'll be killing others, some themselves, and some will kill their family to spare them some kind of supposed trauma.

Unfortunately having an "awakening" only brings more questions and more confusion. Don't let it get to you. It may be overwhelming and intimidating but, from my personal experience, I can say that there is something oddly comforting in knowing that you DON'T know everything. It's almost exciting! It gives you something to strive for that has nothing to do with money, power, or success.

Mushninja, your not alone. Ive picked up a lot of really important vibes lately too which i cannot seem to explain. Im new to this whole high consciousness/ intune with your self realm but within the last year I have unknownly tuned in to picking up strong vibes and thoughts and connecting the dots slowly. I wish i had a guide for this......because it gets pretty lonely thinking such pure high conscious thoughts and finding out your friends are not even on the same wave length as you. Friends who you thought would understand or connect or harmonize with you. This community i have realized is the worlds philosophy court yard....and Its great to find like minds.


oh one other note i just wanted to say i found great peace reading the post about the gentleman laying in the ocean and healing him to sleep. That i must try, the Earth really is alive and humming beneath our feet. Our oceans are perfect harmonious healers....its beautiful if you can tune into that harmony with our alive Planet/Solar System/ Galaxy/ Universe. Its all buzzing in harmony, one wave

Its only going to get deeper and darker. Its hard realizing that life isnt what youve neatly worked so hard for. It sure can knock the wind right out of you when you realized youve already wasted all of this time doing basically nothing for yourself but selfish ego centric acts, that when piled up make you feel pretty shameful when enlightened. Now what you do with all of those pure thoughts is another story. How do we apply this????????

I had my "awakening" in 1995 and it started with a few out of body experiences, paralysis with visions of the future and then sequence dreams that showed me the path to follow. These experiences contained imagery of learning how to meditate, the connection between matter and spirit and how to manipulate energy to heal and repel negativity.

The dreams and nightly encounters began this past April when I had a dream that makes me believe that we are at a turning point. It concerned economic sabotage and war on the near horizon. I believe that I am supposed to be an example for others and then when certain signs manifest I will lead people to the wilderness.

I facilitated a social action group from 1996-1998 and believe now is the time to begin gathering in our hometowns to discuss energy alternatives, food security and contingency plans should a perfect storm of factors happen soon. I try to keep hope alive but now simply accept the fact that a period of hardship will be the only thing that wake people up fast enough to reverse the course of humanity.

I've been shown a place to go for safety as well as my spiritual gifts being activated to help protect people.. ie. weather and electricity. In 1995 and in 1996, I experienced group contact with unseen forces that used tones and energy to shift our awareness. We all felt it at same time. Around the same time, 3 of us shared a dream that showed groups of ten people being lifted up into the sky into a rainbow fractal with thousands of other people, our group connected by an angel.

I have to say, this thread is amazing. Definitely not something we could post on the "regular" internet .

Anywho, there is a lot of stuff out there that we as humans either can't comprehend or just don't understand. Plenty of shiznit that can't be explained by science or religion. I completely see what Mushninja and others on here are saying. Mother Earth IS getting ready to kick us off soon (12/21/2012 - notice there's three "1s" and "2s" and only one "0" in there? might be just me).

There is a whole world of stiff that we don't understand, but Mushninja, you are taking a step into a much larger world, one that a lot of people today are starting to come into (me included). There is a giant awakening going on worldwide, and whether or not you believe in God or not is up to you, but for those that do - there is a feeling that God is waking up those of us that he can trust and rely on. I don't know why, or what for, but His purpose will be revealed to us in time.

All of us who have had this "awakening", like Mushninja, will be called to play a bigger part in turning the world around - somewhere down the road.

Anyone seen "Shadows", or small "creatures" moving out of the corner of your eye, only to turn your head and not see anything there?

At that point we kinda started freaking out a bit because this type of thinking has never been a part of who either of us were. With such strong feelings we had no choice but to start researching some of this stuff and the plot only seems to thicken. I know there is alot of bs out there but there really does seem to be an evil plot against us so complex no one man could ever see the whole picture. Hell I'm alredy sounding like a loon so I'll just say it. It's beginging to appear to me that dominate men and satan, the devil, whathaveyou are working together against us.
That the planet is pissed and about to revolt against us. That this plan against us is almost complete and that we're mostly screwed. Oh yeah, it seems to me that there is a collective awakening/eveloution taking place within a portion of the population. And that we may very well find ourselves evolving in a sense. Anybody with me here, or are we in the midst of some sort of schizophrinic bender?

take comfort in knowing you are not alone there are more people realizing this every day the question is what can the enlightened do about it. I believe that should be the focus of conversation. You are correct in saying its to much for one to see the whole picture and everyday it gets worse.... what to do what to do that is the 64 million dollar question.... anyway empower yourself seek the truth and keep your head up

I've unfortunately never had an obe (well maybe once when i was about 7 but anyway) or a lucid dream but...

my dreams lately are just out of control! They are so vivid and clear that I know I am somewhere else. Another reality perhaps?

Also, I've started to have these dreams where, I don't control them, but if something is going on that I don't like, kinda like a nightmare, I wake myself up.

Like, I must know I'm dreaming in my dream because in one instance, I was being chased by some monster and I was totally freaked out and just could not handle it anymore. I clearly remember thinking to myself in my dream, "You gotta wake up! This is too much!" so I started repeating (in my dream) wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up...over and over until I literally just popped awake glad to be out of it.

This has happened about 3 times in the past 6 months and has never happened before.

Well, as you can see by all the replies, your not alone by a longshot.
As far as "being under the influence", well, some times ya have to be stupid to realize how stupid the "conjured reality" really is.
Just a few points, television "programming" is, just that, best not to bother.
Apocalypse, means, the shedding of Light upon All, and the problem with transparency is, ya end up seeing all the bullsh**, ya been being fed. Nasty taste, huh? As far as the "Big Bad Controllers", their time is almost over, cause they are going to be eating each other, not to worry.
Although I don't go around thumping the Bible or anything, I have read it. And not to give anything away, if ya haven't, The Hero Wins.
Be true to your Heart, lose your mind, cause it will make a fool out of ya everytime, which means, go with your gut instinct and Live to your Conscience.....it's been looking after your best interests, all along, and it really hasn't been fun, being bad, has it? Bunch of unnecessary problems.

my sentiments exactly dude, would you by any chance know what a shroom is? or for that matter a"sock puppet" I've seen that fraise once and couldnt figure out what the hell the dude was talking about.

All I'm saying is that no one seems to want to question the fact that this person (and others) were under the influence when these things occurred.

I would like to think that these "awakenings" can and should occur with a clean state of mind...which is why I'm not into the drugs.

Some people can't relax and maybe an awakening will not happen unless you are somewhat relaxed??? Just a thought. We do know that it CAN happen when you are in an altered state. I wouldn't advise to be that way every time. Once you awake then you are already aware so....

Much respect to the OP for posting this......it has obviously opened up quite an interesting discussion. I just want to stand by you on this and express my concern over the drug thing. My personal beliefs are not important (nor most likely of any interest) here but my opinion is that if this enlightenment is real/good it should be able to find you without the use of altering substances. It has been my direct and indirect experience that anything mind altering enslaves you it doesn't free you no matter what you think at the time.

Also consider the possibility that allowing yourself to be under the influence of anything mind altering may open doors to the dark powers you fear and allow them access to your very soul. Th OP mentioned Satan and most beieve Satan is the deciever so ... Be careful.

It is the erroneous beliefs of people that make the world what it is. We put plans into action without thinking far enough ahead. Industrialization created pollution. Overpopulation creates a food shortage. Borrowing money creates a debt. But society did not see the consequences like that. What society saw was: Industry provides jobs, material things in mass production, and profit. Medical breakthrough increase life expectancy, birth survivals, and more people living and living longer. Borrowing money allows us to have get the things we want now.

There is a point in time when things that were not known become suspect. Eventually, questions are raised when we face the ultimate consequences of our actions. Some choose to ignore, putting on the rose colored glasses, insisting the glass is half full and no need to worry. Some choose to whine and complain, insisting the glass is half empty and there is nothing we can do about it anyway. Some choose to take action. Insisting half is half no matter how it is viewed, they spring into action. Slowly at first, unsure of how to solve such global problems they reach out to others of a similar mind. This is what we did as a society and that is what we got, how do we fix it? Now that you know, what are you going to do about it?

I chose to go into research. My goal is to rip the rose colored glasses off the optimists and duct tape the mouths of pessimists and give them both a plan and a firm shove into action. I also plan to take the mind numbing pills out of all their mouths and force them to take responsibility for their beliefs and their actions. When the nation is finally awake, that is when change will occur to undo the damage we and our ancestors have caused to our environment and to each other. Again, I ask; now that you know, what are you going to do about it?

Parasitic thought forms are like seeds looking for a place to sprout. They feed on negative emotional energy. Eckhart Tolle has another way of describing them, he calls them the "pain body". Read any of his work, it is excellent. No thought can ever be 100% true. Nor is it "yours". You can watch all the thoughts you want, as a matter of fact you cannot avoid watching them. Just remember they are not 100% true, and they are not yours.

Yes I have had many of those "awakenings." Like recently with the USSR oops I mean Russia with Georgia. When I read and watch the news, all of sudden I see two groups of people fighting and looking at their face and go "wait a minute", those are human people. The borders and nationality begin to dissolve before my eyes. I was like wtf? What are those people doing?

I mean really, there are just us people on earth. Who are doing all this mess, really? Who really run the show?

Many time I would have a sudden clarity of the world and everything around me. Sometimes I get existential attack from that.

When I said "altered", it was in a non-recreationl sense. And I also knew that I would lose credibility with a few people, but alas maybe those minds aren't as open as they could be. Not to mention native peoples all over the world have been "altering" themselves for centuries in order to attain a certin "frame of mind". You know, people who DO live in harmony with nature and the forces that be, but what would they know? I was hoping the nature of this discussion wouldn't take this route. I don't think the condition of the path matters as much as the journy and what's learned from it.
