BigFoot Found??? press conference scheduled.

Well, I would have to say that this is the biggest attempt ever made to prove such a far out concept as the existance of Bigfoot to be true. Being as they say they have the body, they can't exactly put the cat back in the bag. It seems pretty legitimate. Maybe these guys aren't PR geniuses, but it seems they have a definite plan for introducing this find to the world.

Apparently the announcement will be at Noon, Cabana Hotel-Palo Alto, 4290 El Camino Real Palo Alto, California 94306. I might check it out myself. I hope there will be more, and better photos. Why in Palo Alto, I have to wonder. Why Russian scientists, once again, hmm? I guess Bigfoot is big in Russia as well.

If this turns out to be the real thing, the whole concept is mind boggling. How could such a creature continue to exist?

I wonder if DNA tests show this to be some new critter, the skeptics will probably still not buy into it, and the government will succeed in covering up the story. There will be claims of faked or poor testing, everyone will be made out to be total nutcases.

from the news report i read at Yahoo News,
the 7 ft 7 in male creature did indeed have Big Feet

but what's curious is the reported tiny hands it has...

my under 6 ft body has 9 inch hands compared to It's 11 inch hands
(from wrist to fingertip)
and my hand is 5 inches wide compared to 6 inches wide on the creature
(measuring across the palm)


big feet & dainty hands ... what survival purpose would that serve??
or perhaps those attributes are only found among the Georgian (state in USA) clan or tribe of bigfoot.

how do you know that these measurents [ assiming the creature is genuine ] are ` normal `

I finally had some time to work through all the "Bigfoot Body" information. I'm intrigued to say the least. I'm pretty convinced that it's a hoax - I'm just not sure where they're going with this... I suppose keep us coming with a carrot inch by inch. But to what point?

If it's not a hoax, I'll be pretty sad. At least I would have the satisfaction of being right about Bigfoot. But the best part of Bigfoot is the mystery. What am I going to do in the Crypto forum if there aren't any more Tubesquash videos to shoot down? ( J/K )

Another issue I would have (if this is real) is that Tom Biscardi is involved. He has done more damage than good to the field, and doesn't deserve the privilege (if it's real).

On that matter I see that Loren Coleman is not a happy man. he hates Tom Biscardi and this is only fuelling his anger. There's a lot of talk of sites being hacked (both that of Coleman and Biscardi) which I find quite strange. What's up with that?

Anyway. Random ramblings.

I'm finding this subject fascinating, as I have long believed Bigfoot to be real. The thousands of acres of forest that haven't been seen by man, except from the air, would provide great cover for such a creature.

However, I agree with you sheila947, If this is proved to be real, I too, am afraid the hunt will be on, and sadly, I'm sure there will be a bounty put on them, but as you say, they haven't harmed us.

If proved to be real, lets do the right thing and leave them alone. Lets not try to capture some of them for display in zoos

okay...great that we're talking back and forth discussing this....I'm continuing to reload cyrptomundo every few minutes to see updates when I can get on the site. Does anyone have info or heard anything on this press conference other than what's already been released? Any major networks carrying the broadcast? Will it be televised at all? I actually took the day off to see this story unfold, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Wow it has taken days for me to read this thread. I think both sides are making good points. Yes it looks a lot like the costume. However maybe the costume is based on pictures that we have of a bigfoot. I can't wait to see what we find out today.

They're being rather vague about the exact time and location of the press conference....here's what I've found...

In fact, there will be a press conference to discuss the discovery at noon today in Palo Alto. The organizers say that the results from multiple tests, including one for DNA, will be announced at the event.

Haven't these gentlemen on this topic already been debunked as hoax.
Wasn't one a police officer and another posing as a professor, doctor or facsimile, visiting them to confirm their bigfoot, actually the brother of the police officer. I seem to recall a youtube video where the brothers confessed to this story being a hoax and that they had been stalked by someone investigating their original bigfoot claim. They asked that since they confessed to "just having some fun" for the stalker to leave them alone.
Their folly was that they had some personal websites with family photos showing their relationships.
Perhaps I have confused them with someone else in Georgia doing this exact same thing.
I can no longer locate those youtube videos, so perhaps I am mistaken.

No, this is not a remote area.....unless you're used to living in some really intown urban area.....you could practically spit into Rome from there. It's hardly even a 30 min ride from downtown..

I have been deer hunting on John's Mountain and all in that area....you have to be careful not to accidentally shoot someone's prize beef cattle. For years I roamed the woods all over that area on foot and horseback....Never saw nothing and none of the oldtimers ever had any tales of anything bigger that bobcats......

There is even a Girl Scout's camp in that area....

Now I'm not saying that Bigfoot does not exist in the Pacific northwest or in Canada....but I cannot believe a couple of guys from Atlanta found and entire group of these creatures in an area that I seem to be much better acquainted with...

are you suggesting that the (newly discovered) species 'bigfoot' could deviate from Nature's norm by having hands and feet that are disproportionate?
...whereas all throughout the animal kingdom things like feet & hands, legs & torsos, jaws & teeth have a symmetry and ratio between these 'parts' ... which makes the animal or human 'fit' to survive.


i'm pointing out what seems to be an oddity or a curious anomaly,
which might cause some speculation and research as to ?Why? the huge difference in the sizes of the hands & feet, of this specimen.
?Does this size difference mean anything?... Is it a trait among the whole population?..

humans have big brains and small hands, use that as a comparison

Today is the day my friends, that they are supposed to release DNA evidence and so forth

I am willing to bet they cite some endangered species issue as to why they no longer have the body or any proof of it existence in their possession.

sir , could you please explain the symetrical proportion between the body pparts of the following species

giraffe
kangaroo
zebra

IMHO - each of those speciese has a very drastic difference in the propotions of its body parts

ie girrafe has a neck / head ratio of >10:1 , a zebras is 2: 1 a kangaroo 1:1

comparing leg length - the kangaroo really scrwas up the equations with hugely disproportionate front / rear limbs

but all are clearly ` fit to survive `

admittedly - the girraffe and kangaroo are 2 very highly specialised species - i picked them for a reason

but i cannot for the life of me see any statistialy valid way of comparing proportions across species

if you wish to take me to task for using such widely different taxanomica groups - fine - i will address ONLY primates - and demostrate great differences

Any chance you would show a person this place (in the daylight) where you were "approached"? I would be interested in camping there. Don't worry no guns, I believe they are useless against real Sausquatch. I wish to meet others.

yup - i cannot find the link now - but i did a bit of digging on the credentials of ` dr Paul vanburen ` who is claimed to be a vetinary pathologist

i even roped a friend who has account access to pulblished works indexes and faculty staff rosters that the public do not have access too

and NOTHING

when i posted my ` results ` here - someone said " too slow " and gave a link to crypotozoo forum where they had absolutly savaged the story - and discovered a social networking album with both the cop and "the doctor " in it from a few years ago
